I have had my share of problems, but there is always a native English speaking representative to answer promptly whenever I call, and that has remedied most of my concerns. I wish more companies had the ability to just call and immediately get an answer to questions that aren't easily googleable or searchable on a help site.

I’ve contacted HSA Bank multiple times about not receiving my HSA card since September, and every agent has given me a different excuse. On my fourth call, when I finally asked for a supervisor, the agent flat-out told me no. My latest email response told me to “order a card online,” even though that option doesn’t exist.

I still have no card, no access to my own money, and I’m stuck paying medical expenses out-of-pocket. This has been dragged out for months and feels like my funds are being held hostage. I would not recommend.

The only reason I'm giving it a one is that Trust Pilot won't allow me to give a zero.

HSA Bank's investment options and capabilities are so limited as to be virtually useless. The only reason I can see anyone using their services is because like me there is no other option given by their employer and/or plan.

It's hard to imagine how or why anyone would willingly use the HSA Bank's services. They claim they might someday add some basic functionality that every other brokerage already has but of course there's no plan or information on when or if anything might get better.

It's literally like a bad joke that this company could convince anyone they're qualified to hold account assets and/or build a viable trading platform ... but unfortunately they hoodwinked someone and it's a very real problem.

My company uses HSA Bank for Flexible Spending and HSA accounts, and my experience has been extremely frustrating. The customer service representatives are often rude and unable to locate basic account information—even the same data used for login.
They denied coverage for my son’s emergency room visit, insisting on an itemized receipt. When I provided a copy with only the relevant details (the $250 copay), they were upset that I removed unrelated information. This was unnecessary since the copay was the only charge their card covered.
If you have the option, I strongly recommend choosing another provider or advising your company not to use HSA Bank. The level of inconvenience and poor service is unacceptable.

I totally agree with those reviewers that wished they could give a 0 rating! This "bank" only cares about hanging on to your funds for their benefit!
When I closed out my acct, just now, they had the balls to charge me $25 dollars to electronically transfer my money to my bank of record. All the have to do is punch in about ten keys to do it!

They (supposedly) sent out a new HSA debit card. Never received it. They turned off my old card (which was not expired). When I called in September, they said they would turn off the card I never received, and issue a new one. Three weeks later, I still had no card. Called back - turns out they never turned off the card they sent that I never received, AND never sent me a new card. So I asked them to send it again, and they said it would arrive by Oct. 24. I called today, now they say the card was sent Oct. 11 and will *probably* arrive by Oct. 30. I've been without an HSA debit card now for two months. They never should have turned off my original card in the first place, because it WASN'T EXPIRED. Stuck with them through my job, but I would NEVER open an account with this bank on my own. Customer service seems to take pleasure in your distress. Horrible bank.

If I can rate 0 , I will. Very bad and terrible experience and service with HSA bank claim, spent lots of time ad effort for $450 reimbursement, still does not work. Each time I call different agent just provide different answers, so confusing, misleading, and finally they tell me you can not claim since due date is over. I gave up, but I post here to warn other clients that be careful to choose HSA bank.

My utter dissatisfaction with the support I have received while attempting to close my HSA account. Over multiple attempts, I have had to make numerous calls, and each time, the information provided by your agents has been incomplete, inconsistent, or unclear.

The agents are incompetent as well as they speak rudely.

Despite my efforts to follow the instructions given, the account closure process has not been completed efficiently, causing unnecessary frustration and wasted time.

They denied a claim from my eye doctor. I submitted the receipt and they said it was fine. Several months later they required it for the SAME CLAIM! Wait time of 2+ hours on the phone and the online chat was extraordinarily unhelpful. In 20+ years of having FAS/HSA accounts I have never had a medical claim from a legitimate medical provider be questioned. Name of the doctor’s company even says “Eye care” in the name. I’m going to ask my HR company if there are any other options to use.

HSABank deactivated my VISA debit card before their replacement MasterCard card arrived. I did not request the change. My current card does not expire until 12/27. HSABank customer service is aware that the new card is still in transit but did nothing to reactivate my current card until the new one arrives. Terrible customer service.

Dear HSA Bank, The app stopped working but you did not let me know that. Instead you just let me waste your time figuring it out. After trying several times over the last two days to reset passwords etc I called the 'help' line only to finally be told the app is down and I'll have to wait 2-3 more hours to try and reset again. I hope you are actively trying to do better.

They created two accounts under my number so double the fees that are depleting the account when there should have been a high enough balance with no fees at all.

My profile information is incorrect - phone number, email, etc. - and the tech is so outdated that after TWO HOURS total on the phone, they literally cannot even update my profile!!!

One account is mysteriously locked, so I cannot even invest my funds.

The accounts were supposed to be merged two weeks ago and there is nothing in the system that indicates a merger has occurred.

The customer service people are nice but the bank itself and the tech are literally non-functional. They are stealing my money in fees and lost investments and I'm transferring everything to fidelity ASAP.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The receipt upload interface is the worst. Sadly, I have 2 accounts with them, and I can't even combine them to reduce the headache. THE WORST!

bad service and multiple calls to resolve a issue.

I have provided HSA Bank with the routing number for my other bank and proved that it is a valid bank, verified by the Federal Reserve. Regardless of the multiple requests, they still claim that the routing number is invalid and refuse to add it to their system. Pacific West Bank - Routing number 123207049.

HSA Bank has known issues with double pending transactions, that do not show in your account, but reduce your available funds. No help to get this resolved with bills due and balance not high enough in the account. Use anyone else but them.

This is the worst financial institution that I had ever encountered and there are bad ones out there. They trained their employees to denied as much as possible doing the "impossible" to not pay to insurers they take advantage of seniors and from everybody and they get away with it! They do not answer the phone and never return calls no emails they just are there to take your money and that is it!

This is a huge scam. Avoid this business like a plague

I have been trying to transfer my hsa brokerage account (linked to HSA bank) to a different HSA platform other than the worst HSA bank.
I have submitted the correct paperwork and they refuse to "unblock and release" the brokerage. They want me to liquidate a fully invested brokerage account (during the most volatile markets ever) and potentially miss out on best days. so they can send a check to the new HSA platform. Not acceptable!! The "support team " are clueless to what i am trying to accomplish and the emails are returned "please call for assistance security purposes".

HSA bank is terrible!
Do not use for your HSA account!
