Great experience
No problem at all, i booked a 4 days tour in the Bolivian plateau and it was awesome. The agency took care of me for all the time of the tour and the price was fair for the experience.

Poor Communication and Lack of Basic Travel Information
I booked an activity through Howlanders and received only a basic confirmation with a reservation number. There was no voucher, no clear meeting point, no meeting time, and no practical instructions.
The address provided was incomplete (just a street name and number, without a town, postcode, or clear office name), which made it impossible to locate in advance. In a remote destination like Puerto Williams, this is especially problematic.
After multiple follow-ups, I was finally informed that the confirmation email was the “voucher” and given the meeting time and location. I also had to ask separately about the ticket process and whether I needed to visit an office beforehand.
Overall, I found the communication very poor and unnecessarily stressful. These are basic details that should be provided automatically when booking, especially when traveling in isolated areas.
I would not book through this platform again and would recommend improving customer support and information clarity.

Reservé con Howlanders el tour de Uyuni, pero debido a los bloqueos recientes en Bolivia me fue muy difícil llegar a La Paz e imposible llegar a Uyuni. Intenté comunicarme con Howlanders por correo y WhatsApp pero debido a la diferencia horaria entre Bolivia y el servicio de atención al cliente, que entiendo está en Europa, las respuestas eran muy lentas.
Al final me reintegraron el 90% del total pagado, lo cual me parece injusto también, debido a que fue algo completamente fuera de nuestro control.
Con la empresa de buses Titicaca, que Howlanders también recomienda, me reintegraron el 97% del pago por los tickets de bus, un monto más razonable.
Recomiendo buscar una opción local, a quien puedas llamar directamente y este al corriente de la situación actual del País. En La Paz o en Uyuni consigues una gran cantidad de opciones de tours, e incluso a mejores precios.

The salkantay trek was an amazing experience. Howlander organised everything great for us. The transport of the luggage and the train ticket is included. Thats great. You start and you know that everything is perfect.
