Excellent workshop with exciting activities. Jess was brilliant with the children, great sense of humour. Will definitely be booking again.

Bethany was great, the children had fun from start to finish in their Toys from the past workshop for Year 1. They had the opportunity to play with lots of old toys and watched puppet shows and even made their own puppets.

Jess was amazing- knowledgable, engaging and full of enthusiasm! The children had a fantastic time whilst learning so much. The workshop brilliantly reinforced their prior knowledge of the Anglo-Saxons and also helped prepare them for their upcoming Y5 topic on Vikings. Highly recommended!

We had the Viking Workshop come into our school for a day of activities based on our Year 5 History topic. The day was fantastic!

We were sent all the information we needed well in advance of the day so we could see the timetable for the day and plan and prepare what we needed. There was very little for us as teachers to prepare but it was useful to see in advance what the activities were going to be. Some of the activities were teacher-led but all the information and resources we needed to successfully run the sessions were provided-it couldn't have been easier.

Our session leader was Jess and she was brilliant. She arrived in plenty of time to set up, bringing with her a host of props for the day. She remained in character with the children and was very good at engaging them in the sessions. With the staff, she was professional and friendly and made sure we were well prepared for our sessions. I would highly recommend and would definitely book again!

We had a fantastic experience at the Victorian History Workshop with Kate. She was incredibly enthusiastic from start to finish and kept everyone fully engaged with her energy, storytelling, and passion for history.

The activities were brilliant and really brought Victorian times to life. The archaeology digs were a huge hit, giving the children a hands-on experience that they absolutely loved. The recreated Victorian classroom was another highlight — Kate played the role of a strict Victorian teacher so convincingly that everyone was completely immersed in the experience!

Kate’s knowledge was outstanding, especially when explaining Victorian laws, punishments, and the many vile and fascinating stories from the era. She made history feel exciting, memorable, and fun while still being educational.

We would highly recommend this workshop to any school or group looking for an engaging and authentic Victorian history experience. Thank you, Kate, for such a wonderful day!

Simple to organise. Great resources. Workshop leader, Gareth, pitched it perfectly for the age, really good with the children.

Another great workshop from David who is thoroughly knowledgeable about the period. A great variety of activities throughout the day - and it's testament to how well-constructed these are that when asking the children what their favourite activity was, the first four all had a different answer, and the fifth said they most enjoyed the introduction! From a teacher's point of view too it was all very smooth and easy to pick up and lead the workshops. We will certainly be booking again.

Really engaging and informative. Covered lots of the curriculum throughout the day brought to life through excellent story-telling and hands-on activities.

Rowan class had a fantastic day at the WW2 workshop and absolutely loved the whole experience. Gareth was brilliant — engaging, knowledgeable, and wonderful with the children. The hands-on activities were a real highlight, and the children learnt so much throughout the day. It was both educational and enjoyable from start to finish. Gareth was brilliant with our Year 3s for our Roman Day! They loved his story telling, meeting his character and listening to everything he told them. The classroom based activities were excellent as well. Thank you!

We had the amazing Rob from Historic Workshops cone to our school today and held the most enjoyable Ancient Greeks workshop for my Year 5 class. He was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, enthusiastic about his role - the children we in awe! The day was full of exciting battles against Athens and Sparta, stories of bravery and resilience, democracy, arts and games. Thank you Rob for a truly fantastic day, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Ancient Egyptians workshop was a whole day of discovery, knowledge building, immersive experience in contemporary activities and overall a full day of educational fun!

We had Historic Workshops come in to do a Year 3 Antient Egyptian workshop and they were fantastic. From the engaging introduction to the well thought out and resourced activities.
Gareth was fantastic with the children, they were very engaged and enthusiastic the whole time ans learned a lot.
We will absolutely be booking future workshops. Highly recommended

David was an incredible workshop leader and he provided the perfect Maya WOW day for us. David is passionate about history and his knowledge of the Ancient Maya was amazing. David arrived at school early and ensured that he had everything set up in good time and he explained the teacher lead activities clearly and provided all of the resources needed. The introduction and sacrificial ceremony hooked the children at the beginning of the day and all four activities were fun, engaging and accessible for all. David explained all of activities enthusiastically and shared lots of anecdotes with the children, which they loved. We had a very memorable day and our staff and children absolutely loved it. We really hope to book Historic Workshops and David for another WOW day next year. Thank you David!

Mally was knowledgable and captivating and the children were intrigued by her expert knowledge. The resources were fantastic and every minute of the day is timetabled full of fun activities to immerse the children into the life of Ancient Greece. The workshops were pitched at the perfect age and the children were left wanting more!
The booking process was super easy and when we had to move dates they were more than accommodating.

Mr. Smith, from Historic Workshops, was very thorough and well prepared for our theme on Ancient Egypt. All activities were hands on and engaging, with very little input needed from staff. There were many opportunities for pupils to enquire deeper into their learning and engage in the topic. I highly recommend using them for any historic lessons.

The pupils really enjoyed the day. They were engaged and especially enjoyed the battle tactics and formation session. The day was very well organised and David was amazing with the pupils. He provided additional resources for classes that were not able to engage with the Witan session.

Another amazing day with Rob! The children were engaged and immersed from start to finish.

We had an absolutely fantastic Egyptian workshop. Our children thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the day. Rob kept them fully engaged from start to finish, and his depth of knowledge really brought the learning to life. The variety of artefacts was excellent, and the children particularly loved the hands-on experience, including scribing.
Rob was also extremely punctual and well-organised, which made the day run smoothly. This is now the sixth time we have used your company for our topic launches, and as History Lead, I cannot thank you enough for the consistently high-quality experiences you provide.
I am already looking at dates to book workshops for the next academic year and look forward to working with you again.

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Historic Workshops to our school for a World War Two interactive session, and it was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish.
The workshop was led by Gareth, whose knowledge of the era was nothing short of phenomenal. He didn't just recite facts; he truly brought the realities of 1940s Britain to life. His passion for history is infectious, and he had a wonderful way of pitching the information perfectly for the age group, blending historical accuracy with brilliant, interactive storytelling.
The most impressive part of the day was seeing how highly engaged the children were. Gareth held their attention effortlessly throughout the entire day. Whether they were exploring artefacts, bandaging each other, or “putting out fires” students were completely captivated and eager to participate. It was wonderful to see our children so entirely absorbed in their learning.
Perhaps the truest testament to the success of the day came from the children themselves. As the day was wrapping up, one child came up to us and declared that the workshop was "better than home time!" If you work with children, you will know there is absolutely no higher praise than that.
We cannot recommend Gareth and Historic Workshops highly enough. If you are looking to enrich your students' understanding of World War Two and give them an educational experience they will remember, this is the workshop to book.
