Hiroshi has over 25 years of private aesthetic practice as a consultant cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgeon, including extensive experience in the rejuvenation of the face and reshaping of the breast, trunk and limbs with the use of techniques such as facelifts, blepharoplasty, endoscopic brow lifts, rhinoplasty, liposuction, breast augmentation, mastopexy and breast reduction.He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and is a full member of the specialist associations BAAPS and BAPRAS. Hiroshi also sits on the intercollegiate examination board and is a member of the ISCFS (International society for Craniofacial Surgery) and the RSM (Royal society of Medicine).
Hiroshi is one of the co-founders of The Westbourne Centre in Edgbaston, Birmingham where he has carried out his private practice since 2008. Hiroshi pioneered the use of local anaesthetic with sedation for cosmetic procedures at The Westbourne Centre.
He is an examiner for Plastic Surgery and is involved in humanitarian surgical charity work in Ethiopia for the treatment of facial deformities in adults and children.

He’s very arrogant
He’s very arrogant. I had surgery with him in 2013. I wasnt happy with the results. When I went back to see him after surgery , he tried to convince me there was nothing wrong. Years later I went to see him again, and he admitted that there was an imbalance and distortion in my nose and that the scar was not aligned. And yet he didn’t offer to correct it . He just said these things happen. And tried to put me off doing it. He has bad reviews on other platforms like real self. They experienced the same thing with him . Super unprofessional.

We are genuinely very sorry to read your review and to hear that you have been left feeling so disappointed about your experience. We would never want a patient to feel that their concerns were not listened to or taken seriously.
At the same time, we are concerned that some of the statements in your review do not accurately reflect our records or our recollection of what took place. Your surgery was in 2013, and we are therefore talking about events that took place around 13 years ago. We also have a different recollection of the follow-up and opportunities available to discuss your concerns at the time.
We have always encouraged our patients to attend their follow-up appointments and to contact us if they have any concerns, as we genuinely want to support them and address any issues wherever possible. It is therefore upsetting to read that you feel you were simply dismissed, as this is not how we aim to treat anyone in our care.
We are very sorry that you feel you did not achieve the outcome you had hoped for. We understand that concerns about the outcome of surgery can remain upsetting, even many years later, and we do not wish to minimise how you feel.
However, we also feel it would be unfair to respond publicly by discussing the details of your individual treatment and medical history. There is much more context to your care than can reasonably be conveyed in a public review.
We would genuinely like the opportunity to speak with you directly and understand your concerns properly. Please do contact us privately so that we can discuss this with you in a caring and respectful way. We would much rather have that conversation with you directly than try to resolve something so personal through a public review.

Great service
In my opinion Mr Nishikawa is excellent. He is at all times friendly but professional. He is realistic and honest about procedures to be undertaken and will not attempt anything he does not believe are in the patient’s best interest. The aftercare appointments are timely and ensure all is well. I have had three procedures with Mr Nishkawa at the Woodbourne and would not hesitate to recommend him or the service provided.

Excellent experience: Breast Implant Exchange
I had a breast implant exchange done by Mr Nishikawa in June and I'm incredibly happy with my results. I wanted a modest size increase (by 2 cup sizes), more cleavage, and softer implants and he delivered! He had excellent judgement in picking the right size and profile to achieve these goals. I even requested Motiva Ergonomix 2, which isn't the usual one used at the clinic, and Mr Nishikawa was happy to order that in, really showing patient centred care.
The whole process has been great from initial consultation to post-op follow up visits. His assistant Carly was always great at answering emails and any questions I had. Both Carly and Mr Nishikawa are so pleasant and kind. I never felt rushed or pressured at the consultation.
All the operating room staff were kind and helped ease my worries. I've only ever had general anaesthesia and naturally was worried about local + sedation. It was a breeze and the recovery was the smoothest ever recovery I've ever had for surgery. If I ever had any worries, the nurses had no problem scheduling appointments to check that everything was alright, so I really felt well taken care of. When I went in for follow up visits, they even gave me extra post op bras, which was really nice!

Excellent experience.
The initial consultation was thorough and detailed, with the options and likely outcomes clearly explained. My care on the day of surgery was excellent. The use of local and sedation was perfect - same experience as a general during the surgery, but very quickly awake, on my feet, and ready to go home.
I received a phone call the next day to check on me, and further follow-up calls the same week. Then an appointment to have dressings removed and incision checked, before a 6-week check-up.
Really accessible and friendly staff who were warm and caring.

Breast enlargement procedure
I had a breast enlargement procedure with hiroshi and I couldn’t be happier. The process from start to finish was faultless. I was booked in for a consultation, and then given a 14 day cooling off period before booking in the surgery which showed they care and want their patients to be sure. I was booked in sooner than I thought which was great. Hiroshi was very friendly and informative and showed he really cared about my decision and that I was making it for the right reasons. He was very helpful with selecting the right size for my figure and also during the procedure and follow up all the staff were great. Carly was also very helpful who is Hiroshi’s assistant. Couldn’t fault them!

Bilateral brow lift and blepharoplasty
I cannot recommend my surgeon Mr Nishikawa and his team highly enough. From the very first consultation, I felt truly seen and heard. Mr Nishikawa took the time to understand my concerns in detail, listened with genuine care, and explained everything clearly and honestly.
I underwent a bilateral brow lift along with upper and lower blepharoplasty, and the entire experience—from consultation to aftercare—was exceptional. I had upper and lower Blepharoplasty…
I had upper and lower Blepharoplasty with the Appointments and communication managed by Carly Dalton & surgery done by Mr Nikishawa. Both were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Surgery at westbourne
All appointments were dealt with in a professional & friendly manner. Which made me feel at ease at all times. I was able to ask questions which were answered & gave me reassurance. From his warm welcome at my first consultation to his skill and care during my surgery and follow up visits, I could not recommend Mr Nishikawa more highly. I am delighted with my results; he knew what would work for me and he was absolutely spot on. Mr Nishikawa’s use of sedation rather than general anaesthetic was a real plus: my recovery was smooth, and speedy, and not hindered by GA side effects.

Hiroshi is both professional and…
Hiroshi is both professional and personable. He explained in simple terms my procedure - face/neck lift and instilled confidence in me. He gave me real expectations as to the outcome. I am more than happy with the results. I would not have gone through the procedure without Hiroshi I had researched cosmetic surgery throughly and he is by far the best surgeon. I might add that I experienced no pain or complications at all. I have recommended to my friends. I would have no hesitation seeking his advice on any other procedures.

From the first consultation I was made…
From the first consultation I was made to feel comfortable and welcome, we chatted about what to expect regarding the abdominoplasty and liposuction operation and after, discussed if it was something I really wanted to do, I didn’t feel anything was left out in the conversation with Mr Nishikawa and myself, and feel very lucky to have chosen The Westbourne Centre to assist me with my plans. The operation went really well and the aftercare was exceptional. I’m extremely happy with the results and would recommend to anyone.

This man and his team are fabulous, the entire experience was seamless start to finish.
