Hiro.fm is a strong platform for curating podcasts and packaging them for your audience. I haven't monetized it yet myself, but I've seen others do it well. If you have the right niche and evergreen content, this product delivers something genuinely different from other platforms on the market.

I purchased the resale package because I have people in mind who would do well on this platform, once I figure out how to fit it into their existing brand.

Hands down, the value is strong. What you get for your money is stellar and if you can use it, it is a great value.

A few things to know before you buy.

The sales page works fine out of the box, but it isn't highly customizable. If you already have a branded ecosystem, expect to spend real time making it match your look and feel. This isn't a quick plug-in solution for an established brand.

Support is inconsistent. Sometimes you get a fast, helpful response. Other times you wait. That said, they've always resolved my issues in the end, and they went out of their way to help me when I made a purchase mistake, even letting me take advantage of an offer that had already expired.

The community calls with the founder are a highlight when they happen. She's knowledgeable and generous with her time. But the schedule isn't reliable. It started as a consistent weekly call, then shifted to ad hoc emails announcing when she'd be online. If your schedule is tight like mine, this makes it hard to plan around.

Overall, I'm satisfied with Hiro.fm and I'd recommend it to the right client. Just go in with clear eyes on the branding limitations and the inconsistent support and call schedule.

Several years ago, I created onboarding, and how-to audios for my clients in an effort to give value and to also let it serve as a lead for would-be prospects. It lived on a popular online audio-sharing and music-streaming platform that allows creators to upload, promote, and share their sounds. A great idea and concept but not the right resource for turbo boosting it's potential as a powerful marketing and teaching/coaching tool. I wanted something that would allow me to market, track, sell and even upsell my expertise, courses and coaching. I needed a simple yet powerful system that didn't involve a ton of funnels and overly complicated tech and video creation etc. I knew that my busy clients were not going to sit for (or complete) an hour long video course with boring worksheets. It had to be a delivery system that could be easily braided into the lifestyle of my busy clients. It had to be a system that had a greater completion rate so they could get the results that I knew that I could provide. Enter in: Hiro.fm. This product had been a light at the end of a long, dark, marketing tunnel. I have been able to add both of my former audios into the Hiro.fm platform. One I did easily on my own (it took a few hours) and the other was done by the Hiro.fm DFY team. Not only that, but I have a way in which I can charge for it, track the listener progress, connect with the listener in between episodes/learning modules and more. None of this was possible before. I now know who is listening and have a way to keep the communication going between myself and them. There are so many ways to use this platform. courses, coaching, marketing, lead generation, newsletter content and probably more that I haven't thought of. I have decided to play with the idea of having an audio newsletter using the easy Producer feature in Hiro.fm. Carla (the founder) has put so much joy, soul and play in this product. For example, I can record straight into Hiro on the fly if I don't want to go through the process of uploading mp3s. When I say joy and play... I really mean it. That same joy, soul and sense of play is contagious to those of us choosing to create in the Hiro.fm platform. I feel so much excitement knowing that I am going against the typical marketing grain by changing how I bring value with the use of audio. So grateful for Hiro.fm and the ability to establish more trust with my prospects and clients in this very unique way.

I don’t write many software reviews, but HIRO has been a pleasant surprise. It was easy to get started, and I appreciate having everything I need for creating, hosting, and sharing private audio content in one platform. For years I struggled with how to create courses that people actually went through instead of just buying. You don't deliver your promise of you're kept on a media bookshelf. You don't change and affect people's lives if they don't actually do the course and apply the knowledge. Then one day I got an ad from hiro.fm taking about EXACTLY that, and why audio is king.
