I called up on the 5th of August expecting it to be picked up by the following week. I needed it moved as I had other things on the driveway which were inaccessible.
I called late on the day I needed it (I'd had an automated message the night before to say it would be collected tomorrow) and they said don't worry the driver is still scheduled.
I got a call back a bit later to say he wouldn't be making it after all, and it was being rescheduled for the following week!?!?
This caused a massive inconvenience as I had to unload some of the skip to move it etc.
Fast forward another 2 weeks and after another few 'scheduled' deliveries have been and gone, I called today to say they still can't guarantee when it will be picked up. I asked why I'm not top of the list for pickup and being dealt with, but they simply don't know.
I absolutely will not be using this company again.
Not only have they not delivered on their obligations, but they do not care about fixing it either.

More convenient than a skip, smaller, same price
The bag was really convenient; I could put it out, fill it, and have it collected when I was ready. The cost was about the same as a skip, but without having to find space for a skip for 2 weeks. It was a bit stressful trying not to overfill the bag, as the weight limit is 1.5 tonnes. The collection instructions printed on the bag are more restrictive than the ones on the website, so I was also worries the bag might not be collected (for example, the bag says they can't collect it from block pavings, which is what our street is paved with). But, in the end, the collection was quick and painless, and it's a relief not to have all that rubble piled up around the house.

Really straightforward and convenient! I was struggling to get a skip and was worried about pick up times. Opted for Hippo, bag was delivered, filled up and picked up in the space of 4 days. Will definitely use again.

Fantastic service
Having the hippo bag was great, it gave me time to work through the stuff I needed to get rid of.
Being able to have the bag up to 6 months is great for me due to my restricted health problems.
The service is great and i will be ordering again when I can afford it. Straight forward to order online and booking pickup was the same, very easy.

Convenient and quick way to clear out
The bag arrived quickly, we cleared our garage and our items that couldn’t be passed on or repurposed were put in. I booked a collection and the bag was gone within 2 days. The website was helpful to check what we could put into the bag.

When in doubt
customer service is very good, we would have liked to ask the pick up driver to check the load for weight as we don’t know What a ton and half look like, unfortunately he came very early we were still in bed, it had gone by 7.45am, we did expect a text telling us roughly when he would arrive but we didn’t get one, we were left with a lot of things that probably could have gone in the bag but we couldn’t risk it without asking first, but we aren’t complaining, we would probably stick with a traditional skip in future as we know for sure we can fill it to the top with anything without worrying about the weight

Quick and easy online ordering
Quick and easy online ordering for a bag which was delivered within 48 hours. Marginally cheaper than a small skip and less hassle to locate. Only downside was that it’s not practical for disposal of anything more than very small quantities of plasterboard. Very straightforward collection process and collected within 3 days. Would certainly consider again for other small scale rubbish disposal.

Misleading information from customer service
We purchased a large Hippo Bag and, before booking the collection, specifically called customer service to confirm whether the bag could be collected from our property, despite there being a fence between the bag and the road. We were assured that this would not be an issue and that the collection vehicle would be able to pick it up over the fence. This was the main reason we chose Hippo.
We booked the collection and waited a full week, but nobody came. When we contacted customer service, we were then told that our property was inaccessible and that we would need to move the bag onto our driveway, which is not possible.
This was a complete waste of our time due to incorrect information provided by customer service. Had we been given the correct information initially, we would not have booked the bag. We were not offered any compensation for the time wasted and only received a refund after we contacted customer service ourselves.
Very disappointing experience. The whole reason we chose Hippo was because we were specifically told that the bag could be collected over the fence, and this turned out not to be the case.

Really easy to use the website, it has a lot of info about what you can/can't send and which service you need, and it's really easy to book it. I booked the van and a really lovely lady came and cleared my rubbish in 15 minutes. Excellent customer service and I would highly recommend them.
