Reliable legal service, though more proactivity would have helped.
I have used this firm before with good success (albeit a different solicitor), so I knew the legal work would be handled thoroughly and professionally. This recent purchase for was completed safely, but the process felt much slower than anticipated for a vacant, cash-buy transaction.
While I understand that many of the delays often stemmed from the other side, the first month was quite static while waiting for contract papers, and I felt I had to lead the chasing to get things moving. I would have appreciated more frequent updates and a bit more 'push' early on to match our desire for a quick completion. Overall, the job was done properly, but a more proactive approach to communication would have made the 15-week process much smoother.

Hi Miss C,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for returning to us for your recent purchase. We’re pleased to hear that your transaction completed safely.
We are sorry that the process felt slower than anticipated, particularly at the outset while waiting for contract papers from the seller’s solicitors. We appreciate how frustrating these delays can be, especially in what should be a more straightforward, cash-buy transaction.
While some aspects were outside of our control, we do acknowledge your comments regarding communication and proactivity.
Thank you again for your balanced feedback—we truly value it and will take it on board as we continue to improve our service.
Kind regards,
Hewitson and Harker

Selling leasehold property
Not being used to dealing with selling property all on done on line, we found that we could get in touch easily by email or telephone if we were unsure about anything. We would like to thank Alfie and Emma for dealing with the sale of our property professionally and patiently explaining anything we couldn't understand. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always on hand. Many thanks to them both and we will hopefully be using H&H in the future.
