The best razor I have ever used. As smooth and comfortable as any disposable without the waste. The precise tolerances lock the blade in and eliminate the flex that causes the nicks/irritation common with cheap safety razors.

Very good customer service I had an issue with finalising an order that required international shipping I immediately got a response back correcting the issue and offering 5% discount for my troubles.
Soon after I received notification that my order has been shipped.
Look forward to receiving it I would definitely recommend and I would definitely use again.

I did a simple search for a Canadian made razor and Henson appeared. Great video describing blade chattering, an experience I have enjoyed (NOT) for over 40 years. Ordered the razor on a Tuesday and it arrived on Friday. With this being covid times, well done! When received, I installed one of the included blades. The word precision is unable to describe the fit and finish. I am looking forward to my initial shave.

The purchasing process was simple and quick. The order was sent out a few hours after I ordered. The foreseen delivery time (from Canada to Germany) was 1 week (Tue to Tue) but in fact the shaver arrived after three days on Friday. Cannot be better!

I actually ordered this project for my wife, but figured that I would give it a try for myself! Out the box the product is sleek. Lightweight, great texture and amazing grip. Extremely happy with the design aside from the fact that with heavy usage (i.e lots of hair) the product starts to accumulate hair and gets clogged. It's fairly simple to remedy this though: Option 1: Blast the underside with water or Option 2: Remove the blade, clean and restart.

I've been a disposable/cartridge razor user for 25 years. Due to my favorite brand turning unnecessarily political I started the hunt for a new supplier for a quality cost-effective shave solution and I'm thrilled that I did! I never tried a safety razor before so this was my first. I was amazed to discover that I didn't need a 3- or 5-blade cartridge to get a great shave. It was amazing to discover I could do the same -if not much better with 1 blade! Still feeling a bit duped these last 20+years by this reality.

Now for my first shave, my face was amazingly smooth while my neck got nicked like crazy. Nothing a hot shower couldn't fix. This trend continued for 3 more days. But eventually after relearning to NOT shave like a cartridge razor user things started to click and all the nicks went away. Maintaining the angle of the razor and letting the weight of the razor do the work was the trick. It's a bit non-intuitive to put so little pressure on your face to get a great shave after all of these years of cartridge razors, but now that I've dialed it in I have no complaints at all about this razor. I actually enjoy using it and reaping better shave results than I've ever gotten before.

As a rookie, I can't say its better than others because i haven't tried any others. But to be honest at this point I have no reason to search for anything else. I see alot of complaints about safety razors in general so it seems I've hit gold on the first try.

I thought I would dabble in a few other blades as well. But after trying 2 other brands so far these Astra blades continue to win the day as well.

I will be 100% recommending this product to anyone I know. The personalized note that came with the razor was a nice touch too! This is a great product. I wish this company well!

For the first time since the 1970s, I have started to shave with a safety razor again. The shape and tight machining of the AL13 means that it is almost impossible to cut yourself. The big gain is that it has eliminated razor burn which I always had with cartridge or electric shavers. The secondary gain is that replacement blades are incredibly inexpensive vs cartridges. Overall, the AL13 is an excellent product.

Precision tool. Very pleasant glide and feel on the face,I have hectic strong facial hair, this is a far better shave than the plastic waster generating multi-blade throwaways! Highly recommended, sets a good example for your children.

Excellent shave. Given lower blade clearance, it takes about one extra pass relative to other traditional safety razors. That said you are easily able to get a close and knick free shave even if you are like me and have sensitive skin and a thick beard.

I use feather blades as opposed to those provided in the box

Tried my Henson shaving twice since receiving it and it gives a very nice and neat shaving. But realised after the first use that there is no lube like my old "gilette" blades so i will have to look for some after shave cream. Good product in general.

I found Henson on Facebook ad. I enjoy wet shaving and have many razors. I’m a sucker for a new approach to razors, so Henson’s blade exposure design intrigued me. The purchase process was smooth, however I wanted the more aggressive model, and it wasn’t listed under the “shop” heading. I was about to give up on the purchase, but happened to find a link within a paragraph. I look forward to my review of the razor’s performance after it is delivered and I’ve used it a few times.

I have been to the site several times and the problems that I saw was limited colors, they show different colors, but only a select few available, knowing the company been in business for a while, you think you would get the more popular ones. The other thing was selecting the razor, it automatically pulled up only one of the model I wanted instead of being a selection at the top I had to scroll down. Other than that I had a good experience.

Would have expected a shipping confirmation within 1 business day... considering how expeditious the competition is (Amazon et al).

Also website is confusing as you can find the 'moderate version' when searching but when you look at the product info it only directs you to the 'mild' version.

I have been wanting to try a safety razor for a while, but was afraid of cutting myself. I already had issues with standard cartridge razors cutting me when shaving my armpits as it is impossible for me to position them in a way that I have a flat surface to shave. I thought my only solution was turning to an electric razor, but then I saw an advertisement for Henson....I know others have been knocking the cardboard demonstration, but that’s honestly what sold me. I bought it, tried it, and it’s the most comfortable shave I’ve ever had! No tugging or razor burn, and I can’t even feel the blade. I shaved my difficult pits with no issue and now have no fear of cutting myself! I’m happy to say this razor exceeded my expectations and solved an issue I’ve had for 15+ years. (Works great on legs too)

I have been a wet shaver for about a decade. I've tried dozens and dozens of straight razors and safety razors. I feel this is the best introductory razor for anyone getting into wet shaving (or even old timers like myself).

The razor locks the blade in at the exact angle it needs to be with just the right amount of gapping. And there is no guess work about how you need to hold the razor in relation to your scalp or face.

I thought for sure it would be too mild and that I would have to do a lot of passes to get a clean shave but you have it dialed in!
