Helbing Law Group is a scam. They let me get sued and did not intervene on my behalf and even tho I called many times they did not call me back. I paid off my account early and just requested my money back and they better send it. They also took 25% of the account they never settled for me. What a rip off. Hire a local attorney instead of dealing with someone that is on the east coast and only out to rip you off! 100% guaranteed, that is pure crap!

I want to thank Kanesha Stokes for all her hard work. I was extremely unhappy with Helbing and the debt program. In 2 years, I didn’t see any settlements and couldn’t get answers from anyone. Literally seemed impossible. Once she took over my account, in this little time, she has settled with all my creditors but 1. I truly compliment her professionalism and customer service. She is a true asset to Helbing.

If you are reading this review, please take notice that the only reason Helbing Law Group has an overall high rating is due to individual ratings of specific employees being nice or helpful, but the law group as a whole has been horrific.
If I could rate Helbing Law Group with a ZERO, I would. Please do not sign a contract with this company. You will be paying much more that you ever owed any creditors. It is better to pay off on your own or claim bankruptcy.
In my specific personal experience, I signed a contract that was to be completed in 22 months to pay off about a $10,000 debt. This was in September of 2019. It is now October of 2022 - 37 months later - and we are just now getting our debt paid off with numerous phone calls to Helbing Law Group and very little help. We had to literally scream at the representatives to get them to do anything for us. It has been extremely upsetting and unnerving!
We have now paid about $12,000 and they told us it would be more like $7,000. When you call Helbing Law Group, you typically get a representative who does not speak English well. The phone connection is spotty and you can hear other people - like children screaming - in the background. They refuse to allow you to talk to an attorney after about 3 months of paying them. This law group took out $315 of our bank account every month for over 3 years and then we had to do all the work to close our last account which we found out could have been paid off several months prior. I feel this law group scams its clients as they extend payments under the premise that they cannot get a response from the credit cards or collection agencies. I called our collection agency for one of the debts we had. They told me they would always respond within 24 hours, so the claim of Helbing Law Firm was completely false. Now, they will not answer my emails asking for confirmation of the finalization of all of my payments. I am frightened that they will now say we owe even more money.
My experience with Helbing Law Firm was horrific and a true nightmare. DO NOT use this law firm to settle your debts!

Thank god me and my wife is done with Helbing we went from speaking to so many people to speaking with this nice young lady kaneshia oh man I know she may have felt me and my wife was putting pressure on her but she got on the phone told us what she’ll do and a month later she settle the remaining accounts you are our superstar I hope this get higher up because this young was able to stop my wife from going to better business bureaus thank you kaneshia

If i could leave zero stars i would worst company total scam i canceled my plan had over 1k in escrow then all of a sudden all gone when i canceled they could keep the money stick it up there ass!!!

This 5-star rating is specifically for Kanesha Stokes in Client Relations. I have been with Helbing 2 years and am about half way through my program. I have had some “bumps” along the way, had to skip a payment once and had to reduce my payment by half twice due to financial hardship. When I spoke to customer service to arrange these exceptions, you would have thought I was taking money directly out of their pocket. After explaining my situation, they would respond (in broken English I could barely understand) that I should pay the full payment, or when I skip a payment I'm in jeopardy of being dropped from the program. It got to where I would rather take a beating than have to call Helbing for any reason. Recently, when I saw on my banking website that they were attempting to withdraw a payment significantly higher than my normal monthly payment, and without any previous discussion or notification from them, I stopped payment on the withdrawal. Kanesha stepped in and contacted me. She explained what had happened regarding the higher payment and worked it out that my payments would be the same through to the end of the contract. Short of this intervention, I was ready to end my relationship with Helbing Law Group, but Kanesha saved the day. She listens with compassion as well as professionalism and works to resolve your issues. Attention Helbing Upper Management: I sincerely hope you see what a jewel you have in Kanesha Stokes and value her dedication to HLG. I certainly do.

In the first year the negotiators were great and legal was awesome getting back to me. I have 2800 sitting in escrow and I need to speak to my negotiator and keep leaving messages with customer service.
It has been two weeks and have left 3 or 4 messages with a person in customer service. They cannot transfer you they send an email.
No response from my negotiator to find out the next few steps. My credit is continuing to get hit and I have heard from no one.

My debt is paid, all $11k. However, I can see in my portal that $6k went to the two creditors, and the other over $5k went straight to Helbing. When you finish your final payment, they LITERALLY instruct you to go to their website, click Trust Pilot and leave a 5 star rating. I said No, I'll leave the rating *I* feel, but the guy on the phone said I have to leave it as 5 stars....probably why they have so many. The communication SUCKS. I am glad my debt is gone, but I was so uncomfortable for 1.5 years, handing over my $400+ monthly, wondering if they were even trustworthy.

Kanesha did an excellent job with resolving all of my accounts successfully. The process took little longer than expected, but It all worked out at the end. She followed up with me every step throughout the process. I am so happy that I'm 100% debt free now.

Very poor communication, I've requested multiple times to talk outside of phone calls because I'm at work or busy, The refuse to respect me as a client I've spent more money on them then my parents did for my custody lawyer with no results, I'm not impressed with their service and will not recommend or use them again. Very poor customer service.

i was with hebling law 2019 to 2022 of this year i was suppose to finish program in december but i cancel i realize they were just taking my money i received today a letter from a credit that they were suppose to handle now saying i owe over 2,100 what did they do all these year i added up too 13,000 dollars i gave them they took my money

Kanasha was the best representative I had from your law office. She always was right on the ball getting things done and would always call me back.
I spoke with several people in support and got no where and sometimes couldn’t even understand them. They wouldn’t get me any help until finally I had it and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. Kanasha then called me and I have since always spoken to her. You need several of her.

I’m worried. My husband and I have been paying every month, consistently, but are very uncomfortable with this law group. You are on the phone with customer service and when asked to be transferred to certain people, there’s no voicemail, with voices. We are calling first thing Monday!!! We feel scammed. This is very odd. Something better give!

This rating is purely for Kenisha…I really thought Helbing scammed me, I had been trying to get ahold of them for months, then one day Kenisha calls n says she is going to handle everything and she did! My last account was settled and I just got my refund today. Thank you Kenisha for keeping your word and getting this done in less then a month.

There is my opinion of this company in short form.This company sucks. No communication after you sign up. No settling of your debts after paying for years. And never will there front desk let you speak to anyone in charge. My only hope was a wonderful lady I found on there web sight named Kanesha Stoked. I was able to leave her a text and she return my text to see if she could help. And she was able to settle my accounts and was able to return some of my money. She was wonderful to work with ! She really listened me. I cannot thank her enough for all of her efforts she gave me. Has far as I am concerned she is the best thing this company has going for it. Thank You Kanesha Stoked !

Kanesha Stokes was the best help that I had received after closing my account with Helbing for 3yrs. Kanesha gets 10 ⭐️ service IMO she listen and took charge with a solution at hand. Maybe they should promote her to a manager because I’ve talk to many many other people at Helbing with no care in the world what was happening with my account.
