the help has literally no relation to the question. while yes it shows you how to do it with different numbers but thats the problem. if you dont know how to do it and you have different numbers its a different answer and does not show you how to do it. overall I think this site is unhelpful to students who dont know how to do it in the first place and have to use google to find it out.

I think that this is the worst maths site ever. if you go the first question wrong you would have to finish of that task then do the task all over again which make my four tasks take hours to complete. you may say i bad at math i not it just says the answer is wrong when it is clearly right. thanks for ready my review now goodbye

I have had many AWFUL experiences with this software, many of these answers do not include bidmas and have been worked out with a calculator, meaning answers that are infact correct are displayed as wrong. I do not expect this from a platform like this and am not impressed. It doesnt give an age range for each task so i am set work that is for higher years.

This website offers no help for improvement upon maths skills to create unnecessary stress on students. Instead to guide them in a video, which could be irrelevant to their question. So when answers are shown, they don't provide evidential methods to solve the problem. There is also no way to work out with methods provided on the website, seemingly making MyMaths superior. Sometimes the questions break the logic of maths, such as '21 - +6' and others following.

For years now, HegartyMaths has just evolved into memes and a variety of abusive horror stories to deprive schools of website usage. I definitely recommend people to study along with places that may have at least 3 to 3.5 stars, though not have the same violence of toxicity.

Hegarty Maths is the website my school uses for maths homework. I am not happy with their choice. I always do my homework and I am very passionate to get good grades on my exams. But, Hegarty Maths makes it very difficult for me to complete my homework. I know most of the methods for each task because we cover most of the topics in class. Sometimes I can make silly mistakes and I get a pop up saying, "Have you watched the video? Even if you know the method, watch the video!" This, in my opinion, is very irritating. Especially when it is a minor mistake and I know what I've done wrong. When I do watch the videos, the voice is very irritating, and I cannot bring myself to watch it. I've also heard that someone watches you through the webcam? This is very scary for me.
So, Hegarty Maths is very annoying. My school definitely could have picked a better one.

Ok why the hell does Hegarty math need to know our dob (Date of birth), and also, some of the videos are just STUPID! I mean theres one video where im doing decimals and the help video pops up and its ABOUT FRACTIONS! FIX YOUR WEBSITE OR JUST DELETE IT HONESLTY I SWEAR THIS DOESNT HELP ME AT ALL.

signed me out for no reason and said i had the wrong answer, though when it showed me the answer, it was the same that i had selected. now i cant log back in and i sent a request but i hope they can give us a different way to get a new password like sending a verification code to my email. Questions are alright though.

awful website, put me through stress and a lot of pressure to do homework. the videos are no help and you have to be very specific with no spelling mistakes so if u get below 80% you have to retake it. 0 star the only reason i gave it one is because the lowest i can give it DO NOT USE.

This is an awful website where tasks are set for maths. Followed by mr hegarty's annoying repetitive voice most maths questions are explained in a very confusing way or he makes himself unclear when he speaks. as in his examples on the question if you need help, he almost always does easier questions other than questions with the same level of difficulty as the question you need help on. OVERALL I highly recomend not using him

He usually explains things in a way which are hard to understand and sometimes i will find a video on youtube that is much shorter and explains it in a much easier and simpler way. Also, whenever he writes something, his handwriting on the computer programme he is using is really messy and can be very hard to read. He also sometimes uses a calculator during the video but then when you are doing the questions it says not to use a calculator. I'm not just saying this because i am a pupil either, i genuinely think it is not a positive way to learn and the only audience it appeals to is maths teachers who can't be bothered to make their own questions. (I understand if they suddenly have to set some work and don't have anything and hegarty maths is their only resource). Sometimes i will double check on google that i got the question right before submitting but then occasionally say i have written it wrong. One last thing is that when you sign in, you have to enter your first name, second name, date of birth, month you were born in, year and your password. this level of security isn't needed. It's not like someone is going to try to break into your account and complete all your homework for you. I don't mean to offend Mr Hegarty in any way, i am just saying what i think. So in conclusion, i just don't feel it is the best way to teach maths and that the website needs many improvements.

I am a student and I’m forced to complete this every week, mentally it causes stress on most student and the task are not engaging, this isn’t homework it’s a waste of time, by nature it’s only for revision but the painful and altogether unrewarding work makes this a terrible way to give students homework and honestly I don’t like mr hegartys voice, cheap shot I know but hearing it had become a symbol of the stressful hour or so to come, there’s a quote in my school corridors that reads, “if you don’t like something change it” but I’ve come to the realisation that as a child I will never have the power to combat this system which seems contradictory to the modern belief that every one has a voice and a opinion, further a student should have more control over the homework then have to do to allow them to grow and make the choices best for them, if your reading these reviews to hope to implement this to your school, I beg that for the sake of your students you don’t and that you find there work else where, ty and stay away from this application

its terrible and in the videos they dont explain properly

The content is educational however the students are not engaged in the activities as they find them boring and repetitive, especially with the way schools set the work. The website would be good for someone who just wants to do some quick revision but for regular homework it gets tiering.
