The garment was described as a Christmas jumper but when it arrived it was nothing more than a printed T-shirt - and a flimsy one at that. Although disappointed I wasn't unduly concerned because I thought I would be able to return it to Brighton(!)...what a shock to find I was expected to return it to 'their suppliers (based in China)' at my own expense. How I wish I had read the reviews before ordering.

Please dont be fooled by adverts like me ! They are not handcrafted cheap nasty ! Waited weeks packaging shabby not worth a tenner !!

Do not buy from this company! Website/photos etc are not real. I ordered 2 Christmas jumpers - they're not jumpers, just some horrible cheap synthetic material. They are worth a fraction of what I paid. Don't fall for the ad as I did.

If I could give them minus I would. After 4 weeks the loafers arrived from China. They sell them as "Upper: Premium Suede leopard-print" They are cheap Chinese fabric shoes.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I am demanding a refund and am reporting this company to Trading Standards. They are obtaining money by deceit.

Posing as a UK company founded in Brighton - that are not UK. I ordered on 12 December and no sign of parcel (last tracking is customs clearance). Do not buy from them they are not legitimate.

This company is a con. Delivery takes an age because it comes from China. When you want a refund you will receive email after email trying to persuade you otherwise, they will not give you the return address (notice it is not on the website) they will offer you discount after discount to sway your decision not to return. Hazel and may do not exist nor does the store in Brighton. It is a fake shop front with poor goods and shocking customer service. Avoid at all costs!!!

I would have preferred to not give any star. Lies, lies and more lies. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. FAKE in every way. NO such shop exists product coming from China!!!!! Still not received goods.

A very rare negative review from me but I want to warn others. The marketing is so plausible and seductive - but it’s all a very clever fake front for Chinese scammers. There is no shop in Brighton, the garments are not as advertised, the pictures of owners are models.
I ordered a Christmas sweatshirt - what I received over 2 weeks later (it came from China, remember) was more like a child’s football T shirt. Shiny, thin, poorly made, no label or washing instructions.
If you want to return it you have to pay postage - to China - and then they could argue they never received it, unless of course you pay recorded delivery. A very expensive exercise. Thank goodness for Amex who are disputing it for me.

I purchased 2 pairs of shoes and they arrived after 4 weeks, smelling of plastic and they don't fit, to small and I purchased a 6.5 which is bigger than I normally are. I have tried to contact them and they are offering me a deal, trying to get more money out of me. A typical Chinese way of doing things. Such barstards. Do not purchase from them, they are crooks. It is an online store, no phone number, no address.

Avoid this scamming company like the plague, they are a scamming set up, they are not in Brighton, do not have a shop, the pictures in the website do not represent the trash that gets delivered, the reviews on website must be fake . The so called shoes took a month from China whilst they bombarded me with emails saying they were being hand prepared & taking longer than usual . Eventually they arrived stinking of chemical, were synthetic, wrong size and damaged. When I co planned they constantly referred me to their returns policy which was that I returned them at my expense to China. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE . Claire & Juliette Éze will email you some absolute rubbish “we are sorry you are disappointed -“ and then refer you back to “ our returns policy• absolute scammers with no shame

I agree with all of the reviews previously posted. This is a FB scam, pure and simple. No due diligence before permitting fake adverts. I ordered two tops which supposedly had been priced at £100 but were now down to £40 each. I got sucked in. What arrived is just tat, and I can't call it cheap tat as it is dear tat. I wanted to send them back as the stitching is hard nylon thread which is very irritating around my neck. There is no make label or washing instruction/composition label. They keep asking me to send a picture of the size label-what for I don't know as they know which size they sent me! The automated replies that I keep getting just take me round in circles. Avoid like your life depended on it. Horrible Chinese nasty people.

Look vs delivery not the same. Cheap fabric and when you want to return they keep offering you a discount because returning goods to China costs money and tax. Would NOT recommend. Been caught out 😫

Absolute rubbish. Waited weeks for a so called sweatshirt. Cheap, flimsy material poorly sewn together, and nothing like the photo. This is a scam outfit importing rubbish, not the classy Brighton based shop they portray on their website. Don't be fooled!

They need to remove Brighton from their name for a start. It’s a scam from start to finish. I’ve been waiting for weeks for 2 tops and apparently they’re late because it’s Christmas. Don’t expect to see the tops and don’t think I’ll see a refund either. Avoid them at all cost.

The item was not as advertised, very poor quality material and took weeks to be delivered and the company are not 2 girls based in Brighton as advertised but its a chinese company in china, very clear fraudulent advertising. They demand that you pay return postage regardless of delays or shape of item and they mess around refusing refunds offering 10% credit instead etc shockingly bad customer service and poor poor products. DO NOT EVER USE

I ordered a jumper then had a strange feeling. Found all these reviews. Panicked
Read the 'refund' Ts and Cs which said I could cancel my order within 24 hours. I emailed the co to request cancellation. Amazingly after 3 days I WAS refunded. I've now listened to an episode of Radio 4 ScamSecrets (14 August 2025) and understand this type of scam.

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes on the 11/11 and after numerous emails saying they are on their way and being delivered they finally turned up today 11/12!! I want to return but nothing in with shoes and their returns and exchanges page doesn't exist (I can't find it anyway!) Have emailed but as of yet no reply!! Do not buy from this company terrible customer service!

Bought a Christmas jumper from Hazel and May, Brighton. Only thing is it didn’t come from Brighton but instead came from China where it was manufactured. Was advertised as 100% cotton, in reality it is 95% polyester and 5% spandex.Totally misleading advertising. Avoid like the plague!!!
Facebook really needs to look at some of its advertising .

Further to my recent unhappy review I was extremely pleased to receive a complete refund today. I have offered to return the items within the UK if required.
