Rubbish Packing
I ordered a potted plant on 26th Aug. It arrived on 24th Sept. - so not the world's fastest. In the box was one sheet of brown paper, one empty flowerpot, a handful of loose earth and my dried up plant. What were you thinking? You could have at least tied the flowerpot inside a plastic bag to held the soil and plant in.
Was this worth £42 - I don't think so. Only now is the plant starting to revive, so fingers crossed.

The packaging and presentation you described are far from the standard we expect, and we completely understand why you felt disappointed—especially given the cost. A plant arriving loose, with minimal protection, simply shouldn’t happen. Perfect 35m long instant hedge
Needed a substantial instant hedge to shield us from a new development next door. Was recommended to talk to Harrods and after discussion with Chandler and team about the soil, elevation and site, despite my initial preference for leylandii I was steered to Portugese Laurel and wow ..... we have a 35m long 2m+ high hedge that looks like it has been there for years and provides a dense wall of privacy. Excellent planting team worked patiently as we selected which plants to go where on a very difficult elevated planting site. Highly recommend Harrod Outdoor as spoke to many but none offered the complete advice to efficient planting solution at such a good price too.

Great plants and Service once I got them.
I couldnt give 5 Stars as on the day of delivery I tried to call to get ETA and the phones cut off after 1 ring all day. I emailed titling it Urgent as I needed to go out and got no reply so couldn't plan anything as had to be around all day.
The driver and plants would get 5 star as he was very polite and put everything where I wanted.

I was very very impressed from start to finish! .. I contacted the company as was struggling to find some mature yew trees that I needed by a specific date .. the staff that assisted me were just fabulous ..
I was called back shortly after my enquiry by a very helpful member of staff.
The order arrived very quickly and the delivery drivers were so kind carrying the heavy trees through the house to the garden for me as I have no back entrance to the garden..
The trees were in excellent condition, very healthy and exactly as described to me ..
I would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them!!

The Dog Rose plants are well established and very, very, healthy. Also nicely packed, so as not to cause any damage.

Scam fake business Avoid
I bought River Birch that arrived nearly dead. I rang Harrod Outdoors and spoke to chandler who confessed he had seen the poor condition of the trees before being sent out but they are only middle men that forward trees on. I was told the trees were guaranteed. I have asked for a refund but Harrod outdoors will not respond. Their business is one big scam. AVOID

Receiving a tree in poor condition is unacceptable, and if one of our team acknowledged concerns with the quality before dispatch, then it absolutely should not have been sent out. That’s not how we do business, and we’re currently reviewing this internally.
While we’re not just “middlemen,” we do work with a network of trusted growers across the UK and Europe to supply the widest possible range of plants. But quality control is always our responsibility, and it’s our job to make sure what arrives at your door meets the standard we promise.
We’re also sorry that your follow-up communication wasn’t responded to promptly. Every tree we sell comes with a guarantee, and if a refund or replacement was due, it should have been handled properly. This review has prompted us to look into your case again with urgency.

Ordered 15 Laurels on the 24 June received no further communication from Harrods rang them on the 26th was told they would be delivered on the 28th my wife waited in all door eventually got an email late afternoon saying they were being delivered in two weeks!!.

👎Customer service poor, trees delayed and now refunded.
Ordered blue atlas cedar/weeping cedar beginning of April. No feedback as regards to delivery, had to ring in. Was told delayed and they would be delivered in 2 weeks. Come delivery date, they emailed to say that due to brexit the trees were not allowed in the country. Offered to send trees I didn't order, twice, so they don't read emails. A month after ordering they have still not removed them from their website. Was offered a credit which I may have taken up in the future, but cannot get into my account as it does not recognise the email that they have been emailing me on 🤔. So all in all, customer service is bad, and no trees to be had apparently. Yet other companies also selling...?

The Blue Atlas Cedar you ordered is a beautiful and sought-after tree, and we fully appreciate how disappointing it must have been to face delays and ultimately not receive it. You’re absolutely right to expect better communication throughout.
This order took place at a time when our post-Brexit plant import systems were still being refined. While we’ve since resolved the majority of these documentation and logistics issues, there are still rare occasions where delays at border control or last-minute export restrictions impact specific varieties. Unfortunately, that happened here—and we sincerely apologise.
We also regret the email miscommunication and the incorrect alternatives offered. That’s not the level of service we aim to provide. Our team has since made improvements to internal processes to ensure order notes, emails, and customer accounts are handled more carefully and consistently. We’ve also strengthened how we manage live product availability, especially for items coming from overseas growers.

Not only did they arrive exactly when promised, but the Leylandii trees were also in excellent condition. They were healthy, vibrant, and well-maintained. Great experience
I recently ordered some laurel hedging from Harrods Outdoor. Chandler answered all my inquiries on the phone and helped me make an informed decision based on my specific requirements.
The delivery took 9 days within the expected time frame I was given. Chris the driver contacted me on the date of delivery and did a great job at following my drop off instructions.
The hedging arrived in perfect condition and were well protected during transit. I am very pleased and will definitely shop at Harrods Outdoor again.
