ORDER NOT RECEIVED CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DISGUSTING
My elderly Mom made an online order and missed off her house number. Harper Meats still continued to send out the £60 order with just a postcode, debit my Mother's account and with insufficient address details the courier did not deliver the meat. After stringing us along for two weeks, they issued a letter to say it's not their problem or the couriers and their automated system of not having any quality check of address details prior to sending is the normal! I don't think so. This company have NO customer service skills, lack any empathy and are downright rude. I wouldn't advise anybody to order meat online as if anything goes wrong they won't want to know.

I have been asked to review your issue, so I have gathered all the relevant details and below are my findings: -
An order was placed on the March 30th which unfortunately did not contain a correct postal address, no road name or house number, you have inferred that our system is at fault for allowing this order to be placed, unfortunately our online system is powered by Shopify, a market leading platform that is used by millions of users worldwide. I unfortunately cannot agree with you that the system is at fault, it has clearly defined fields that require the customer to fill in all the required information.
Once the order is placed a confirmation email is sent to the customer to allow for the information supplied to be checked and confirmed and to allow sufficient time for amendments to be made if you deem that any of your information is incorrect, please see the system data confirming this email was sent: -

Due to the workload and amount of orders we receive our system is completely automated so obviously the data is used to print labels and is also accessed by the courier service for their delivery schedule so unfortunately any incorrect information is passed through the chain and it was only at the point of deliver that the courier notice that there was no valid delivery address, at this point they flagged it as an “address check” but unfortunately took no further action. Feedback from the courier service indicates that this is normal procedure, and the driver did not break any guidelines, so they are taking no responsibility for this problem.
After reviewing all these facts, unfortunately I must take the same stance and state that in this case neither Harper Meats nor APC courier service was to blame for this issue.
Having said this I feel that as a good will gesture from Harper Meats we will offer you a 25% discount on your next order.

BAD EXPERIENCE VERY DISAPPOINTED.
I ordered a pack of 5 joints for £60 which never arrived, I was contacted by delivery co. the meat was still in their depot saying they had no address ? I contacted Harpers but unfortunately they don't seem to want to know although they had the money out of my bank account they don't contact me by phone or email. I am a 77 yr old pensioner, it has left me worried and disappointed.

Hi, as mentioned in our reply to you earlier today you placed an order but only included your postcode, so unfortunately the courier service was unable to deliver you parcel with just a postcode as a reference. We explained that due to the bank holiday we will be unable to contact the courier service until next week and we have contacted our accounts department to review your issue but when you supply insufficient information I can't see how you expect us to deliver your goods. We will reply asap as mentioned in our earlier message that we sent to you.

Would like to see more variation of boxes and an improvement in the construction of sausages, bacon excellent, chicken fillets good, gammon good, ribs very good, pork shops and belly pork not as good.
