I ordered a coat for $124.90, and when it arrived it had the white fuzzy lining sewn into the zipper in several places, white lining showing through the metal hardware holes in the pockets, and the inside pockets had the lining exposed. Extremely poor craftsman ship. When I emailed the company to return the coat for a refund, they wanted me to send in pictures, which I did. I got no response after a couple days so I emailed them again. I was told I needed to pay for the return shipping, which is in China. I was told I would get a refund for 20% off the purchase price. When I got the refund, 20% wasn’t even calculated correctly. I was refunded 22.48 rather than 24.98. I know it’s 2 dollars difference but you would think they could do simple math correctly. Apparently not. Scam company and jacket was the worst quality I’ve ever seen. Order from somewhere else.

I bought a sweater from Harper and…
I bought a sweater from Harper and Lane. It was way too small and didn't not look anything like the photo. Customer service was quick to respond. I could not return it but they offered me a new one, free of charge, in a larger size. All I had to do is pay $12.95 for shipping. I paid the shipping fee and received another one about 3 weeks later. It is even smaller than the original one that I ordered. Needles to say, I wasted a lot of money on 2 sweaters that I will never wear.
I should have read the reviews before I ordered from them. I learned my lesson the hard way. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

BUYER BEWARE TOTAL SCAM FROM CHINA
I saw a coat online at HarperandLane.com called the Joyce - Hooded Winter Jacket. I looked at the reviews, which turns out are FAKE. I looked at the sizing chart and based on their own sizing I ordered myself a Wine Red color in size XL to give me plenty of room. First, the item is being shipped from CHINA. It is not a domestically sourced item. Second, the item arrived today and it is not an adult XL by any means. It MIGHT fit a child, but not an adult. The sizing is not as advertised and them calling it a Winter anything has got to be a joke. It's thin and cheaply made. This coat cost $90+ dollars! This is a total scam.
**Updated PayPal forced them to refund my money. Now they want to save face by coming on here and acting empathetic. I now have them blocked. I want no correspondence from this company. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I ordered two shirts from them, and they did not look as they do in the pictures nor did they fit. I emailed them to request a refund being fully aware that I would be responsible for shipping costs. They have been giving me such a hard time with approving the return. Two days later and I am still going back and forth with them trying to get my items sent back. I have never experienced anything like this before, I wish I read more reviews about them before I ordered.

Wrong sized bad quality shoe, 20% refund: scam?
Ordered shoes "orthopedic" claim: wrong (very small) size sent in damaged packaging, no labels on item, very poor quality. Repetitious messages from company, profuse apologies but only feasible option is 20% refund. Seems like a clever scam for this company with deceptively upscale name of Harper & Lane. Purchase price $50: est. supplier cost for China-made item est. $2, shipping cost to customer max. $10, refund to customer $9: Net income for company est. $29. Not bad! Communication with company was laborious: profuse apologies but 20% refund only feasible option. My error in ordering from previously unknown company without searching for reviews.

I wish I would have read the reviews. Ordered a blouse. Fabric so inexpensive and very hasty workmanship. The sizing was really off. I have emailed them but according to reviews...will I get a response in time to return? Or will the cost of shipping be more than the product is worth?
There must be a way to make them accountable. Essentially this is a scam...misrepresentation.

The worst customer service and garbage product I've ever dealt with.
The shirt took a long time to arrive, which I expected. When it did come, it looked nothing like it did online, and was a terrible quality for how expensive it was. I emailed the company over 15 times, only a receiving a response once that they never followed back up on when trying to return it.
Do not purchase from them! It is a waste of your money, and they will never respond to you.
I ordered this shirt in September, and am still dealing with trying to get ahold of them in November.

Harper and Lane reached out to me through Trust Pilot asking me to contact their support (I'm not sure if their response shows here). I reached out immediately with every screenshot of the 15 emails I've sent trying to solve this issue and have still received NOTHING. It is a complete act of trying to save face, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. EVER.

UPDATE - 11/4/2025:
I was offered a 50% refund and advised to "keep the product" -- despite it NOT FITTING and being (and looking) CHEAPLY made. I'm aware of the fact that I would likely need to take out a small mortgage to return it to its country of origin. The product is of no use to me, so I donated it to Goodwill for Halloween. Going forward, I REFUSE to order from anywhere but US or UK companies. Ordering from anywhere else is far too risky.

The item I received (a military style jacket) was different than the displayed picture on their website. The material is a cheap felt and it looked like it would be part of a HALLOWEEN COSTUME -- rather than an actual jacket one would wear. Also, it is not a USA based company, but some dropship company with a USA address. Save your money, and DON'T purchase from this website. I'm out of $70, and am really mad! I wish I'd searched for reviews prior to ordering -- I'll NOT make this mistake again with ANYTHING I order online! It's not even worth it to return it overseas.

Although the shoes look great, they don't match in size. One shoe fits while the other is too big. They offered my a 20% refund to keep them or pay to ship them back to China. Dont buy from this company.

I ordered a dress from Harper and Lane…
I ordered a dress from Harper and Lane that was advertised to arrive within two to three days. It came three weeks later and didn't fit, even though I ordered a size up.
I've been refused a return label and offered a 70% refund (at $12+ dollars).
There has been a lot of communication where the representative repeats a formatted "we appreciate you ..." without action behind the words. I will never order from them or refer anyone to them.

I ordered a 3 piece set (sweater, shirt, and pants) in a medium. The sweater was too large, the shirt was too small, pants were good. I’ve sent numerous emails about returning the set, and have requested a full refund. I’ve been ignored, asked to take photos of the items, asked if I checked the size chart before ordering, told that return shipping is my responsibility…and like many of the other reviews, am being given the runaround… I whole-heartedly agree that we need to warn other consumers about the negative experience they will undoubtedly go through if they buy anything from this disreputable company.

Returning was a nightmare - 9 emails back and forth with wear-down tactics at every step.
I've reported them to the FTC, IC3, and FBI. Avoid this company.

The items pictured look stylish and high quality. The items received are cheap trash. Getting a refund is almost impossible. You are not able to leave a review on their website so all of those glowing comments are all fake. Take your money and go to a legitimate website.

This company is a Total scam
This company is a Total scam, watch the YouTube video review. I ordered what was reportedly a Xl cashmere sweater and shirt, took several weeks to arrive, sweater had no size marking tag, but was a medium size at best based on common pit to pit measurements (4 inches shorter than normal XL sweater) and the material was definitely not cashmere.
The XL shirt had sleeves that were 2” inches shorter than normal XL shirt.
I had to provide pictures to prove all of this, they will not refund, only give credit for new product, which I will be obligated to pay shipping and any price difference. I have never dealt with an online retailer that does not refund for incorrect sizing of merchandise- this company is a Total Scam- Buyer Beware!
I wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering. I am chalking it up to a costly educational lesson, and donating the items to Goodwill

Harper and Lane is a SCAM!!
The sweater I ordered and waited a long time to receive is clearly a cheap knockoff. It does NOT match the photo on the website. Similar in style but clearly not the same and cheap quality. It seems clear that they are running a "bait and switch" online store. Do not purchase from this company. You will not receive your money back or a replacement item.
