A truly excellent service from start to…
A truly excellent service from start to finish. Engagement from the main office team and support from Astral was prompt, helpful and friendly - the team worked to make sure that quite a convoluted move over 4 properties was seamless. On the removal days, the teams couldn’t have been more helpful - on time, efficient and so helpful. They really took the stress out of it all for me. It is the second time we have used Hamiltons and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Brilliant service from start to finish!! Gary and Sam arrived right on time and were very careful and respectful of all our possessions going above and beyond to be helpful and all done with a smile even helping us to secure our front door which had been affected by the cold. Removals made easy!
I bought furniture in the UK and contacted Hamiltons with a shipping request for delivery to my home in Munich.
From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. Communication was great and delivery arrived as promised, the crew of 2 were super-friendly and professional. Furniture was well-packed and protected. Really, we could not fault anything, it was an extremely positive experience from start to finish.

Big thank you to Sharon, Jay and Jordan, Eddie, Darren and Josh from Hamiltons Removals for a) saving the moving day after we were let down and b) being amazing on the two day move, the guys turned up on Monday got straight to packing and loading following day we were all done at the old house by lunch.
Jordan, Eddie, Darren and Josh were great bunch of lads very professional took care with our furniture got the move done with no dramas.

Hamiltons were great
Hamiltons were great - Abby in particular. Our move was pushed back several times over 2 months and they were able to accommodate us when we finally got a move date at short notice. We moved house and also a food business premises with specialist equipment and the movers were brilliant - quick and efficient and didn't break anything. Would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone moving.

I had a wonderful experience with Hamilton's removals! I'd have to name too many names to speak of who gave great service and treated me like they cared about me as a customer... From the person who took my initial call, to their specialist who met with me to prepare the quote, to the packers who showed up, to the office staff I dealt with for monthly invoices, the management who arranged my export, and finally their EU team who made the delivery. They promised a great service and went above and beyond expectations.
All this and their price was better than another major UK removals company.

We would like to thanks the fantastic team of Hamiltons Removals. Darran, Michael, Darren and Josh. Were just remarkable and so helpful and efficient. Any issues were resolved immediately and further removal was assisted by Toby and John who were there early to ensure everything was removed in time for our Completion.

First class removals.
The team worked non-stop from start to finish, making what could have been a highly stressful move a smooth and hassle-free experience. The care they took to protect every single item, carpets, walls, etc, was highly impressive. Huge thanks to Nick, Mark (Sparky), Justin and Chris. Highly recommend them.
Ben and Scott were excellent
Ben and Scott did an excellent, thorough job of our removal. They both just got on with things, look great care with our belongings and got the job done smoothly. Really helped that they were also thoroughly pleasant chaps who made a stressful day really straightforward. Highly recommended - cheers gents!
Spectacular scumbags
Spectacular scumbags. Signed the contract with Hamiltons, got served by contractors instead without any notice or clarification as to why. Hamiltons simply used their brand and good reviews to get their margin by subcontracting you to a different company and not doing anything, including notifying us of the timelines. I never mention names in my reviews before, but these people deserved to be known, and as such I am sending my regards to Mr Steve Allen, whose incompetent communication made us regret our decision on choosing Hamiltons.
Hamiltons pack and deliver whenever the heck they want, regardless if you are available or if you have other plans, such as a wedding anniversary. Booked them for 2 days of packing, received only 1 day and did not even get to decide which. In the last moment, they simply told us what day it will be, and we had to book an additional night at the hotel. Can you imagine being so flexible when moving countries that you can tolerate different days? Think of all the hotel bookings, flight tickets, taxis, PTOs taken, etc. Promised to deliver w/c 29th. Just under one week before that, changed it to Sunday of the 28th, which is our wedding anniversary day. I tried moving the date, but Mr Steve Allen said it was not possible. Turned out it was a lie, as the delivery team indicated they could have simply deliver on the other day or even put goods in storage for the next week. Meanwhile, management kept asking if we are already in Spain and if we have Spanish contact number (btw, which was never anyway used because they kept calling UK number). Despite multiple attempts, I could not get the time of the delivery from them. This is understandable, as they don't know crap, since they are not the once doing the job. So on the day of the delivery I had no clue when the trucks will arrive or if they will arrive at all.
After the delivery was done, Mr Avril send me an invoice for the upcoming month of storage. I can understand when it takes 1 day for Mr Steve Allen to answer my email, but sending an invoice for storing already delivered goods really shows how disorganized they are even within Hamiltons.
But wait, it only gets better from here. When packing, I confirmed with the team that whatever they dismantle, will be reassembled at the delivery point. This was not the case, the sofa, and bed were simply unwrapped and put together, the dressing table stayed wrapped, and only the wardrobe got the privilege to be assembled back (having a sliding door incorrectly fitted though). Customer service lied to us that the bed was assembled, and they have “no idea” how it became unbolted. The walls got markings during the process too. When talking to customer service (hi Tracy), I was offered a “sorry” for the inconvenience and a laughable compensation of 40 EUR for the damage. This is absurd. We are still in the process of assembling the furniture, (service that I paid for), instead of unpacking the goods.
Does Hamiltons really think that they can do whatever they want and cover it up with a “sorry”? “Sorry” does not do anything, it does not bring back our anniversary plans, does not undo the stress of not knowing the timelines, does not change the past. Proposing to give me 40 eur of compensation only shows that the only thing Hamilton care is money. At no point during the process, I was requesting financial compensation. I paid all the invoices in full on time and was expecting that I can get service from the company I paid for, with prompt communication and at the agreed time. Was it too much to ask for? If they genuinely wanted to fix something, they would do it by delivering agreed services, not by covering the issues with “sorry” and money.
If you want to get screwed, choose Hamiltons for your next relocation to hell.

This is the second time we have used Hamiltons to relocate us. Communication with their customer services team was excellent and the four removal men were polite, funny and extremely professional from start to finish. Hopefully we will never need to move again but if we do we won’t hesitate to use them again.
Making the move less stressful.
The removals team arrived at the expected time, and after viewing what needed to be done, got straight to work and efficiently loaded everything with no fuss. On arriving at our new home they patiently waited for the previous occupier to complete their task, and than swiftly unloaded all our furniture, while ensuring that everything ended up in the right place. A fantastic team, well done.
Can’t praise Hamiltons highly enough
I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you - what a professional and efficient team you are. From the first phone call to book a quote to the last handshake when the boys left us in our new home it was a pleasure doing business with you.

I recently used Hamiltons Removal Company and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very start, they were incredibly responsive, making the whole process stress-free. Their quote was excellent value for money, especially compared to other companies I looked at. On the day, the team was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled carefully. The customer service was fantastic throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. I’d highly recommend Hamiltons to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy removal company!

Hamiltons is by far the worst moving company we have ever dealt with.
We arranged our packing dates with Steve Allen by email, making it clear that we would need two days. At first, he didn’t respond because it was “too early.” Then, less than a week before the move, we discovered that instead of packing on 26–27 August as agreed, they had scheduled just one day — 26 August — because they “didn’t have a truck” on the 27th. We paid for two days! Nobody cared that we needed to keep our bed until the 27th, or that we had to book and pay for a hotel unnecessarily because they failed to communicate until the very last moment.
To make matters worse, on the day of packing a completely different company — St George’s European Removals — showed up. We were never told. We had signed a contract with Hamiltons, expecting them to do the job, but were essentially deceived. When we asked Steve why another company was involved, he ignored the question entirely. It’s obvious they subcontracted to save costs, while charging us more.
The problems didn’t end there. On 11 September, Steve informed us that delivery would take place sometime during the week of 29 September to 5 October. We planned around this. Then, on 23 September, we suddenly received a message saying our delivery would be on 28 September — a Sunday, our wedding anniversary, when we had other plans. Again, they didn’t care at all. A simple “sorry” was the only response.
We regret a thousand times choosing Hamiltons. This company is dishonest, unreliable, and completely unprofessional. Better to pay more elsewhere and have peace of mind. We have already filed an official complaint.
Five out of five doesn’t seem high…
Five out of five doesn’t seem high enough to reflect the service that we received from Hamilton’s on our move from the UK to France. From packing our house up to organising the customs documentation, they were absolutely first class. Heartily recommended.
