I only had 1300 left on my loan from one main financial now it's 3000 don't know why

It has only been 2 months and so far 2 of my card has settled and i am so satisfied

Overall a good experience. However, I am a bit disappointed about communication. The only time I hear from anyone on the team is when an offer has been accepted and requires approval but only then. I would appreciate more updates.

I was completely mislead going into this. If I had known the truth up front I never would have gone through with this. I was told it would be completed within a year, Later to be told I’ll be dealing with this until 2030. I was told there are no fees, there IS a monthly fee and another service fee. I was told they would have all the late fees, etc taken off because I was told to stop paying on my cards. That was bogus. They don’t do anything about those fees so on all these cards I am paying more than what I initially owed even after their so-called settlement.
My credit was over 700 before I started this and now it is the worst it’s ever been in my entire life. I’m screwed until this is over and I feel like they will do nothing to get my credit back up and I will be left to deal with that myself. At this point my negotiating power is crap because my credit is horrible, car leases, new cell phone, and anything else where they check your credit. All this is an additional cost I wouldn't have had to deal with otherwise
Beware before you get involved with this. I wish I never did.

The best thing for me, was the Interest rate on my Credit Cards was cut to 0%.

Things are going pretty good. Next month will be 1 yr since I decided to let GRT take control of my finances. They have been pretty good but I just had 1 go to collections and that was upsetting to me. I’m hoping that they can get it resolved quickly.

Do not use GRT Financial for debt resolution. They will charge you outrageous fees. An example of this scam is as follows. I had a creditor with a balance of $20,000. GRT negotiated the debt down to $10,500. GRT charged their fee for the $10,000 saved. Their fee was $7500. Actual savings, under $3000. Buyer beware of this scam perpetrated by GRT Financial.

We are out of the country but still easy to deal with, the team work of this company was an ease to do business.

GRT Financial is helping me get rid of CC debt just like they said they would.

⭐️⭐️ Disappointed with my experience

When I first started this process, I spoke with a Skyline Finance representative because I believed I was looking into a loan of more than $30,000 to pay off my creditors. I did not originally set out looking for a debt-settlement program.

During the conversation, I understood that my credit could recover within approximately 6 months to a year and that I could eventually return to normal financially and apply for credit again. I later realized that I had enrolled in a GRT Financial debt-settlement program, which works very differently from the loan I originally thought I was pursuing.

I have been making monthly payments into the program, but after all this time only three of my creditors have been settled. I now understand that money has to accumulate while settlements are negotiated, meaning this process can take much longer than I originally expected.

Had I clearly understood from the beginning how the program worked, how long the process could take, and what would happen to my credit during that time, I would not have enrolled.

I am disappointed because I made an important financial decision based on what I understood was being presented to me. Consumers considering this type of program should carefully read the entire agreement, ask exactly how long the program is expected to last, understand all fees, and make sure they understand the difference between a debt-consolidation loan and debt settlement before signing.

I hope GRT Financial and its marketing/referral partners will make these differences much clearer to future customers.

Update – September 29, 2026:
GRT Financial responded publicly to my review on September 21 stating that one of their specialists would be in touch to discuss my concerns further. It has now been eight days, and I have not received a call or follow-up from a specialist. I am still waiting for GRT to contact me and address the concerns raised in my review.
