It's not just how things are handled when everything is good, but also when things go wrong. I stupidly duplicated an order, realising almost immediately when I opened my plant list to add the new plant and saw it was already there. I emailed GrowTropicals asking if they could cancel the order. Twelve hours later I had notification of the cancellation. No fuss, no bother, no questions, just done. Great customer service - as always.

I had a genuinely awful experience with Grow Tropicals and I feel other customers deserve to be warned.

My order - for which the website specifically advertised as needing a heat pack in winter - was left abandoned in a lobby in sub-zero temperatures. This is a clearly signposted area where parcels must NOT be left. I was home all day, and two other couriers managed to deliver directly to my door without issue. Grow Tropicals’ courier didn’t even bother to ring the buzzer or make a delivery attempt.

Instead, they dumped a heavy parcel in a freezing, unsecured area. I had to search for it, then carry it upstairs myself. For a company charging nearly £10 for delivery, this is completely unacceptable.

When I raised the issue, the customer service response was essentially: "Not our fault, nothing we can do,” and "Return it yourself if you want a refund.” No apology, no resolution, no customer care.

No acknowledgement that the delivery service I paid for was never actually provided, no ownership of the problem, and no meaningful solution. The cold was dismissed despite the fact that they themselves recommend heat packs to prevent temperature damage.

They refused to raise it with the courier and suggested it was my own fault for not including delivery instructions. I didn't realise delivering a parcel to the address stated in a normal apartment building required special instructions.

I had planned to buy more items from this site for Christmas, but this experience has completely destroyed my confidence in their service. I would strongly advise other customers to think twice before ordering, especially in winter, as you may be left with a dumped parcel, a damaged product, and no support or options for a refund whatsoever. It's not only that they get it wrong with their couriers, it's that they then refuse to put it right and treat complaints in a condescending and dismissive manner.

If you're going to treat yourself, to something a bit special, or just different. These guys are the best. Even what they describe as rescue, are better than most. And the cherry on the cake. The speed of delivery, combined with enough secure packing to protect bone china, make buying a pleasure.

Always great customer service! Sometimes I decide to buy more plants after I had placed an order. If my plants hadn’t been shipped yet Grow Tropical team adds them to my order without any problems. The plants are well packed and high quality that I am used from Grow Tropicals

I was contacted after placing my order asking if I wanted to add Winter Protection to my order, which I did. I appreciate the suggestion considering our recent weather.

I feel I should mention that the heat pack included for Winter Protection was cold on arrival, and began to heat up once I removed it from the box, and stayed hot for around 8 hours. It seems it hadn't had enough time exposed to air to activate it before packing. Thankfully my plants seem to be ok anyway.

The plants from Growtropicals are simply gorgeous and incredibly healthy. I'm really impressed with the quality and variety they offer. They arrived well-packaged and looked even better in person! It's a pleasure to support a business that clearly cares so much about their green friends. I'll definitely be back for more beautiful additions to my collection.

I have treated myslelf to a plant advent calendar, and it is amazing. Every day gifts are carefully packed, with lots of love. I can't wait what next day brings. Plant quality is great and everything is very well wrapped, to prevent any damage in transport.
