Green Motion operates a car hire desk at the Holiday Inn M4 J4, 239 Sipson Road, West Drayton, serving London Heathrow Airport (LHR). This page also covers the Hayes and Hounslow desks. Travellers flying into Heathrow can use the Hotel Hoppa service from the terminal bus stops free of charge for Green Motion customers, telling the driver they are hiring from Green Motion, with the destination being the Holiday Inn Heathrow M4 J4. Local customers can take the Overground to West Drayton or the Tube to Hounslow West, then bus 222 to The Plough bus stop, or arrive by car, taxi or Uber using postcode UB7 0HW. On arrival, go to the rental office at the front of the Holiday Inn, not the returns office at the rear. Desk opening hours (local time): every day 06:00–22:00, including public holidays.

The initial hire was a little bit…
The initial hire was a little bit concerning as I was told that any scratches on the wheels would be severely dealt with. That said the actual car that we were given was brand new so in some ways this is understandable. The MG we hide was incredible, it was a hybrid and although the sales assistant pressured us a little bit the the upgrade was worth it in the end and did save us money on fuel.

Green motion insurance company useless
Green motion no problem all good however green motion offer for an extra cost an insurance so if you need to change/ cancel a booking you can do so. I made a mistake with my booking dates so wanted to change to a new date or cancel and re book and the insurance company green motion use to do this reject my request so I waste my money and time using this recommended insurance so to new customers avoid using this insurance it’s useless

Pick up was from a ver busy location so there was a queue and a delay. I was not in a particular hurry however, but I would imagine this can be an inconvenience to some customers. Staff were very helpful, particularly with upgrades. I have also mentioned before, that as a Premium Plus customer I do not understand the need to wait while the vehicle is inspected (albeit a fairly minor inspection) on return.

I have used services of Green motion Heathrow a number of times and can fairly say that I am a satisfied returning customer.
This rental experience was fairly good. Pickup was fast and convenient. Car was fairly clean. Fuel was not full tank so returning the same amount was difficult. I would prefer a full tank so that it is easy to fill full and return. Body and wind screen scratches were not accounted for in the pick up sheet and I had to show pictures and videos on my return. Staff was very polite and acceptable of the facts. Overall Good.

Awesome customer service and great deal on a good car
Although a bit of a cumbersome process to find the office, once we were there, Amy was amazingly efficient and set us up with a great car. She also gave us a few perks because of the long (3 week) rental contract. Will definitely use Green Motion again next time we are flying through Heathrow.

The location was a hotel being renovated
The Green Motion location was a hotel, closed but being renovated. We got a cab from the airport as the bus would be a long trip around hotels. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The car pick up was fairly the same as other car rental locations, except a long walk to get the car.
The car was good, a BYD, but the interior hadn’t been cleaned when picking it up.
At drop off there was no to return to the airport, except the bus, not very clearly laid out. They said order an Uber, which we did and that was quick and easy.
Perhaps when the hotel opens it will be better arranged and more transportation options.

Thank you for the detailed review. We’re glad the Heathrow team was friendly and that the BYD drove well. The long walk to the car, the interior condition at pickup and unclear return transport made the experience less convenient. Your account gives us useful detail about where the directions and handover need to be clearer.
DON’T Recommend
Insurance isn’t included for out of country rents even though on the booking it was supposed to included and they used the excuse of the credit card not being the same, and they charge you additional to cover the car ended paying close to 750 over my rental to cover it for 12 days, and London is a city enforced by cameras so foreigners are bound to get a fine, and yet over the fine they charge you 68 Pounds over the fine. 2 stars because the cars they offer aren’t back but service is terrible I would recommend them. Also if your planning to travel with the car even though it might say you can on the booking or online you can’t take the car outside of London according to the representatives that work there.

All good with one exception
Everything went smoothly on my rental from heathrow (Holiday inn). Location is great, staff is very friendly and helpful, and the pick-up and drop off process couldn't be smoother.
Two reasons for 4 stars vs 5. 1. the car was in OK shape. 50k miles and lots of dings, scratches, missing trim, etc. It worked fine, but glad I took lots of pictures and videos because some of th edings were challenged and I could prove they were there before. 2. the tire pressure on pick-up was low, causing some inconvenience (taking time to sort it out). Tires were fine, but this should be checked. I provided this feedback on drop-off.
Based on this experience, i would recommend.

Complained to the men that gave me the car at the rear of the pickup point and they were very helpful and gave me a replacement auto car.
Thankfully they seamed to care about customer service not like the man who proceeded my reservation.
