APC is a terrible company
APC is a terrible company. They rescheduled the delivery 3 times and finally i went to the depot in frustration.

A huge waste of time and money
After wasting a huge amount of money and time using these paints, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. We have tried to persevere with these paints for some time, but have given up after spending weeks painting all of the *fully prepared* woodwork, only to find that it just peels off like a thin layer of plastic. When I contacted customer services with our concerns this was immediately put down to 'user error' with absolutely no effort was made to help us out despite the numerous products that we have bought and the considerable amount of money that we have spent with this company. With any other eggshell paint it wouldn't be necessary to use a primer in addition to preparing the surface unless it was bare wood (which it wasn't). The customer services were unhelpful and patronising and as much of a waste of time as the paints themselves.

I am very sorry to hear about some of the issues you have been experiencing.
When any paint scratches off a surface, and this can be a common problem, it is generally because it cannot adhere; there can be several reasons why.
It could be an incompatible coating – a glossy surface, an oil-based paint, a waxed or varnished surface, or contaminants on the surface like grease or dirt or cleaning products. Proper preparation is therefore key, which not only means thorough cleaning and then sanding, but in some cases (and this can only be determined on site), a bridging coat or primer is required. In these instances, without the correct bridging coat, paint will cure – fully dry itself – but will not be able to grip or bond to the surface.
The bridging coats job is to stick. With the correct preparation our Four2Four Primer has been formulated to adhere to difficult surfaces like plastic and tiles.
The advice is, as with all paints, to test an area prior to undertaking the main painting works, to ensure that products are compatible, and the correct system is then used.
Should you be willing to choose Graphenstone again to fix the current problem, do get in touch with us directly so we can help with any questions you might have.
Either way, good luck with the completion of your works and we're again sorry for the problems you have experienced.

Great breathable and cleanable paint…
I ordered online and the paint came quickly . Good coverage and texture, no fumes , easy to clean brush. Looks great in my 200 year old cottage, even though some of my walls are damp this paint still looks good. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is you have to mix it with a certain percentage of water, and difficult to work out exactly, first time I used it made it too runny. So would have preferred it to say how much water to paint to use, so could measure out exactly. Apart from that fantastic and I have reordered more, as only paint I will be using from now on.

Brilliant paint with real depth of…
Brilliant paint with real depth of colour. First coat I was a bit anxious but once the second coat was done amazing!!!! No smell to deal with, great instructions on use but the best thing is the suitable colour change and depth over a couple of days. My home is post WW11 and a working progress so some of the original plaster on slats is in the house. It was on this old plaster I used the paint and it’s is the best finish I have had ever

Poor delivery …
Unfortunately the delivery experience was poor and I had to collect the product from the depot. Service provided by Graphenstone themselves was good.

Excellent service from ordering to…
Excellent service from ordering to delivery. Paint is absolutely fantastic. The only thing that would be better is if there was a brief summary of the colours. I know it’s important to try the tester pots first, but the descriptions provided by some other companies are helpful in making initial decisions. I used Argento and it’s a beautiful soft neutral.
