Dan arrived on time and came to do a 12mth service, but ended up fault finding and sorting a problem we had with the heating. He was very friendly and helpful.

From start to finish GSL have been fantastic, it started with a visit from Ronnie who talked us through everything and answered our questions honestly, the quote was then sent to us with no pressure from anyone, again a quick phone call to the office answered our additional questions. Once we agreed to go ahead we were appointed a project manager (Zoe) who arranged the installation at a time that suited us. The installers arrived on time and were friendly and professional and explained everything(Josh,Alex,Lewis) they left no mess which was great. Since instal we have been pleased with how everything looks and the support and communication from Zoe has been great. The price was also great. I would highly recommend.

This isn’t my first solar installation as my previous home was fitted with a system and that one was a poor experience. GSL on the other hand couldn’t have been more professional and I am extremely satisfied with the GSL Solar Installation process and end result.

From the outset the quotation contact was straightforward, clear, concise and flexible. Follow up calls were helpful and not pushy.

After deciding to go with GSL, the site survey visit was thorough and accommodating of my preferences. The surveyor was considerate and detailed, no doubt helping the installation which also went smoothly.

The office support staff dealt with all the paper work and DNO application. Once the DNO approval was received, a date was set for the install and within a week the scaffolding was up, two days ahead of the system being installed.

The fitting team installed the panels, inverter and battery in very poor weather conditions working hard until the job was completed, all within a day. The attention to detail and regulation compliance was particularly noticeable.

A week after the install the office support followed up with a call and arranged for the scaffolding to be removed which was down a few days later. Communication throughout the process has been timely and helpful.

Even a small change to the panel spec (540W instead to 535W) was followed up with new schematics delivered to my home in person.

The paperwork pack (MSC documents, warranties, user guides etc) arrived when promised and I only await the DNO certificate for my export MPAN which is out of GSL hands.

I thoroughly recommend GSL and would like to thank the whole team.

Our installation was complex due to the loft conversion and flat roof, which did delay things and complicate the design process a little, causing some confusion on which panels to bring and some rescheduled appointments. However, they were very professional about the process throughout and compensated us for delays. Can't fault the work and the engineers were very friendly and helpful. We're very happy with the system now it's complete!

Daniel visited today to fix a radiator leak and delivered excellent service from start to finish. He took the time to make sure everything was working perfectly before leaving and genuinely felt like he had ticked every box. This was a courtesy goodwill call‑out that the team didn’t have to attend, so I’m especially appreciative of the outstanding customer service. Thank you for going above and beyond.

If it’s anything solar these are the ‘ go to ‘ guys nothing was too much. from the original contact to ronnie the surveyor to the installers the office staff and the accounts department they are all superb the install went without a hitch scaffolding was put up Friday the install was done Tuesday the install was done before 1pm that’s 16 panels an inverter and a battery

The one thing I did notice that grant store actually care they actually want to help you get your system installed. The big box companies like edf ,boxt, octopus all give quotes that are drastically more for less kit ie smaller batteries and less panels and then don’t even call you back

My system has been installed 3 weeks now and it’s amazing how much extra I am generating

Overall, we are very happy with the final solar installation from Grant Solar. The team were professional, courteous and accommodating throughout, particularly Martyn (Electrical Engineer) and David the surveyor.

We had several bespoke requirements including underground routing of the armoured cables into the garage instead of external trunking, plus specific positioning of the inverter and battery system to maximise garage space. The team listened carefully and delivered exactly what we requested.

The installation quality itself was very good and the final system looks clean and professional both internally and externally. David also returned after installation to inspect and verify the works, which was appreciated.

The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was mainly due to project delays and coordination issues. The installation was delayed by around two weeks because of a lost/delayed armoured cable delivery, and there was also an issue where the Tigo optimisers had initially not been installed, requiring panels to be removed and reinstalled which added further delay. Communication regarding programme dates and scaffold removal could also have been clearer at times.

There was also some minor surface damage around the garage cable penetrations and a few finishing details identified during inspection, although these were relatively small compared to the overall job.

Despite the delays, the installers themselves were excellent and the final outcome met our expectations. I would still recommend Grant Solar overall.

Awful experience. They installed solar panels and an air source heat pump. They rushed the job, cutting corners and requiring multiple visits to correct poor workmanship. No care was taken during the installation and they left a trail of destruction behind them. It has been a really stressful experience having had them install these items. I am still having to sort issues out following their work and revisits to try and resolve the problems.

Solar installation went ahead as planned. All workmen were courteous and efficient. When a problem was encountered it was resolved in good time through the office admin and the workers.

I was really happy with the whole process. The company was very helpful to deal with and happy to answer any questions I had, and to accommodate my specific requirements. Any issues that arose were dealt with to my satisfaction. The solar panels look great too!

I had Grant solar install an Air Source Heat Pump back in January. I’m really happy with the outcome the guys came up to Cumbria and installed the system with precision, efficiency and little to no mess. Chris the installation manager was brilliant, he kept us up to date with any issues and gave us great advice and solutions. since having the heat pump installed it has transformed our home into a lovely warm home and has knocked £100’s off our bills. We did have an issue with the hot water but I contacted the team and they were very quick to identify the issue and send some to resolve it. A special mention to John who came and inspected our system after installation. He talked through how to use the system and how to set it up to suit us. He showcased great knowledge and confidence in what he was doing. He also did a great job fixing our hot water system. In January, I had Grant Solar install an Air Source Heat Pump. I’m delighted with the result. The team arrived in Cumbria, installed the system with precision efficiency and minimal disruption. Chris, the installation manager, was fantastic. He kept us informed about any issues and offered excellent advice and solutions. Since installation, our home has transformed into a cosy warm haven and our bills have dropped by hundreds. We did encounter a hot water issue but the team quickly identified and resolved it. A special shout-out to John, who inspected our system after installation. He expertly demonstrated how to use and configure the system to suit our needs. His knowledge and confidence were evident. He also expertly fixed our hot water system.

From start to finish the process of fitting my solar panels, inverter and battery was supported by Grant Stores Limited. The survey was quick and easy. The installation was completed in one day by competent and friendly staff and today I was visited by a representative to conduct the final audit of the system. I am now producing clean electricity and charging the battery, I should done this years ago!!

I had problems with the Foxcloud app, when it was upgraded without warning the reading on the app disappeared. I tried contacting Foxcloud via email but all I got is a Key number, several in fact and in reply to my message to them I got a reply in Spanish which was useless. Having contacted Grant Store I won't mention his name but he sent me an email with an attachment to watch a video and follow the instructions to get the app working properly. That failed. The next day I telephoned again and this time I got through to a lovely lady Katie Chee? She was so helpful, see talked me through the video again and the ask my to WhatsApp screenshots of what was happening, after several screenshots she said she would get back to me soon and she did, there was obviously an issue that needed someone to come out and fix. A week later three young men turned up and after the main Man scratching his head for a few minutes he found out that my address had disappeared on there list, so he promptly created the address again and it's working fine. A big faff but thanks to Katie and the rest of the team its sorted.
