I have been a loyal customer of Goop for over 10+ years & for most of those years they were an excellent company that stood by what they sold & honestly seemed to care about their customers & the relationships. In more recent times the past 3 years their customer service has dropped off completely. Now they treat customers like myself like I should be so lucky that they would even sell their overpriced products to me & should they make any error of any type it is my fault. They no longer have a working customer service phone number-PERIOD. The phone number they provide to customers online & to the credit cards/Paypal/Afterpay etc. is the same phone number so no one can reach a live agent. When you call the number provided it directs you to email them. Upon emailing them you will get a basic/generic email stating someone will be in touch with you in 24 hours. Well that is a lie.My final decision to breakup with GOOP was because I ordered close to $1200 in merchandise. In GOOP land that is like 3 items. I checked out through PayPal and it immediately redirected to Goop stating “purchase complete”. A few weeks go by and no delivery. Long story short GOOP shipped & billed my order to an address they had on file from 7 years ago. I buy stuff from them monthly so this struck me as odd. PayPal & my bank confirmed my shipping & billing address to be my correct addresses & did not understand how GOOP could make such a careless mistake. Though GOOP knows they are in the wrong they refuse to help me or work with PayPal dispute department. It’s like they want me to have to suffer through the entire process time it takes for PayPal to do their discovery, which PayPal has already said based on the situation, tracking numbers and so forth the claim will be in my favor. The card I used through PayPal is prepared to not only reverse the charge but file fraud against Goop for their clear deception, billing an address that doesn’t align with my card, and the dollar amount attached to the order. When Goop finally decided to grace me with a response it basically said ‘to bad for you we billed & shipped & now it’s up to you to contact USPS to work on a claim. Have a nice day.’ The address they sent it to isn’t even in the same city, USPS doesn’t work with buyers only shippers. GOOP knows this. So now I am out $1200, the misery of knowing they messed up & have no intention of fixing-essentially stealing from their customers. THEY HAVE BECOME A FRAUDULENT, scam of a company just like their owner. I KNOW I will eventually get my money refunded but it was a hard decision to breakup with them. So unless you want to be overcharged for “GP Picks”, get emails that are nasty & condescending I would literally say steer clear. How could a company that I’ve bought thousands & thousands of dollars with be so arrogant & flat out rude. They act like they are the only high end company around & it is gross. Seriously, I now know why ppl dislike Paltrow so much. She has zero respect for her customers & shows. I am writing this simply because they have really offended me & they literally do.not.care. It’s like they think it is funny I have to wait out the dispute timeline before I get a refund. That is sick. It may only be $1200 to them but that amount is not something to play with. Honestly, suggesting I drive to address they shipped it to in another city to ask the person who lives there to give me the box. Does this sound like a company that cares about their consumers (ESPECIALLY since they know it was their mistake). Buyer beware. Never buy from GP, Goop or her other sister companies unless you want to have spent $80k in 10+ years to only then be treated like a joke. Really, really disappointed as it was my favorite.

I bought three (3) products from GOOP ... facial soap, moisturizer and exfoliating products. NOT at all happy. Why would a very famous movie star put her name on a billion dollar skin care product line without true great results? For more money and less time working in film? Aging? It's really sad. I give the GOOP product 1 star... if I could give it zero I would certainty. Please ladies save your money. Do your research. It's another that ends up in the garbage or given away to good will for less fortunate women and men.

Customer service is hard to receive... clothing items arrive but not as described!

I bought the goop glow toner at aTJX and the product is full of insects. I reached out to goop customer service and they refused to do anything and told me to go back to retailer. I have photos if interested.

I enjoy the new products that come out and that they are sustainable

I purchased the "G. Label by goop PANELLA SQUARE-NECK DRESS," which was a FINAL SALE. It arrived dirty and used; there were no sale tags attached. Several emails with images of the dirty dress have gone unanswered. Then I tried calling during their business hours, nope . Then I tried messaging them on social media, nope. From the reviews I guess I'm stuck with this beautiful, but dirty dress, that I'll have to pay to get clean.

I have never purchased anything from Goop. I'm writing this review because I really appreciated the article, "Gwyneth Paltrow x Phil Stutz: The Power of Small Things". The New York Times makes you pay to read articles and I found this interview incredibly helpful.

The worst skin that I ever had in my life , but I don’t know why. When the skin cosmetics of this brand has come on the market ( face oil & goopgenes nourishing face cream & goop beauty glow lotion) they were good and qualitative but something it’s changed , changed in worst. First at all the color of this “goopgenes” face cream is not the same as I used to know. So whatever they put in their products now is making you allergic and your skin is more dry than ever ( specially the goopgenes nourishing Body Butter).
Regrettable!

The ABSOLUTE worst customer service that i have EVER encountered. Emailed them 10 times and called a dozen times in 2 days to cancel an order that was mistakenly made. The customer service phone never picked up!!! it just stated that “ if you are receiving this message , we are with other customers. call back or email us “.
When you email them , as the majority of most on line companies, you never receive an email to let you know that they have received it and will follow up.
ALL you hear are crickets. !!!
i never need a product in life that has this much hassle.
DONE! Stick a fork in it!

Customer service is non-existent. No one responds to emails or answers the phone. If you have an issue, you’re on your own.

On top of that, if you want to do a return you have to pay for shipping, yet if you want to cancel your order no one responds. So frustrating!

I’m predicting weeks of chasing them down just to get a shipping label for an order I wanted cancelled in the first place. Never again. And you can find most of the items on their website cheaper at other retailers.

We recently received two boxes containing an order my wife had made. The boxes containing the product itself measure 4” square, each.

The shipping container measures 18” x 12” x 6” and also contains quite a bit of paper inside - black and netted.

The quote inside the box says,

“We choose to be the change we want to see in the world. This means taking steps towards minimizing our footprint. Our shipping boxes are now made of 100 percent curbside recyclable materials, to keep your order - and ultimately, the environment - protected during transport.”

What a bunch of marketing hype, distraction, and misdirection. Your packaging is actually among the most wasteful I have ever seen. You could have sent these two small boxes in one tenth the packaging with just a little more thought but I guess you think everyone is stupid and will buy the hype.

We’re not ordering from you again.

Nobody should have to put eggs in their vagina! They're spreading dangerous information about women's health.

If you're into their lifestyle products - great. As for their skincare/cosmetics, Goop is known for spreading unscientific information and fad products that are not always optimal for human skin.

Products bought have not been good quality for the price paid. In particular, the candle that carries the humour 'This Smells Like My Vagina' is meant to have a lovely aroma of geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed, however the scent is massively clouded by the black burning wick or the type of wax used. In fact for £75 you get your lovely soft, and especially any white, furnishings coated in soot. Clearly the product is lacking in quality when something isn't fully combusting to generate so much soot that it's everywhere!! The candle is in the bin but a ceiling needs painting. I've got beautiful linen cushions in the living room that don't look crisp white anymore and they've gone for dry cleaning. Of the prices I've paid for beautiful room fragrant candles, this is by far the worst. What started humourous, and a real talking point and giggle amongst my friends, has become not so funny anymore. To sum it up in another point, I don't get this much soot up my nostrils from the London Underground compared to this candle and burning it in a very large room means it must be bad, and very unhealthy. Don't buy it, there's many more and much better quality products out there that specialise in beautiful candles, if this is what you're after. And yes, why not, one final point, I can't even leave a review directly back to GOOP -Not very consumer engaging.

If you aren't using goop skincare, you are insane. Perfect customer service. Love everything else I have ordered as well. Thanks so much for making it so easy.
