Go Magic Anmeldelser

"Learned" to play puppy dog Go over 50 years ago and played a lot for several years before life took me from that environment. Tried to find someone to play unsuccessfully until I stumbled upon Go Magic. Between this and OGS, my eyes have been opened and my play is improving. At 74 my mind was wasting away without use. Go is giving it the workout it needs and is improving my quality of life. My membership was due to expire the next day when I found the membership offer and immediately renewed.

Love the both the interactivity and the high quality videos. It bovious how much work is going into this product. Love it

If you get a 30% or even 50% discount, then it could be worth it. Otherwise, you’re probably better off buying a good, comprehensive Go book.

What I don’t like is the lack of deep explanations. The puzzles, for example, usually come with only a one-line explanation, example : 'black to play' or 'try again'.., with very little explanation. You can’t even save the one you want to come back later and try to understand them properly by YOURSELF (yeah no one will help you understand). Basically, it’s the kind of puzzle you can already find for free on Go puzzle websites.

The courses are well filmed, but the content often feels too shallow. For example, a Tesuji course including in the main course that lasts only 12 minutes is not enough to really teach the subject properly — unless, of course, you pay for the $60 “super premium gold whatever” videos for rich people (for that price i have 2 very good books that talk about ALL topics deeply and that i have FOREVER)

So, as I said, the value for money is good if you have a discount. Otherwise, not really.

I always get great products from these folks!

The GoMagic team has a passion for the game that goes well beyond also loving it being something they do for work. I spoke with them about my personal situation and desire to learn despite financial restrictions related to my medical situation and addiction recovery, and they were very kind, enabling me to pursue my development as a player by way of a membership, which was simply completely out of reach.

GoMagic is an excellent platform. You can tell this easily just by the detail added to videos, excellent puzzles and quizzes, and a progression which gives a clear sense of where your skills sit and how to grow them. With thousands of years of history, it is extremely easy to feel lost as a learner without people in your life who also play who you can play with and observe games—unless you have a personal guide. This is the solution for those who aren’t blessed with Go player in your community.

GoMagic is brilliantly set up so that the results are the same as if you were to have a master trainer sitting with you all the while. I highly recommend it — better value than any other options, better instructions as well.

Well put together program. Friendly staff, prompt support.

Very well structurated offer, very reliable, consistent, done with passion, affordable and full of discounts!

Excellent video lessons and quiz material.

The purchase is a very easy and quick process.
Excelent explanations, demos and exercises.
Its definitely worth it

This platform is an awesome way to learn to play Go. The concepts are communicated in a clear, easy-to-understand way and the interactive quizzes help drive home the important ideas. A ton of beginner stuff is available for free, and if you find yourself wanting more, there is a lot of paid content to keep you going into higher eschelons.

Love go magic! The interactive lessons are very thorough and informative. I would recommend Go Magic to anyone at any level of play. Thank you for creating this great platform!

I really want to share my thoughts on Go Magic because this platform deserves global recognition.
First of all, the video lessons are absolutely top-tier. They are incredibly well-produced, clear, and you genuinely learn a lot from each one. But what really sets Go Magic apart for me is how they structured the skill trees and training exercises. The way you practice and progress through the skills is both highly engaging and genuinely effective for improving your game.
The platform itself is beautifully designed and super intuitive. More than anything, you can just feel the passion of the people behind it. It’s not just a commercial tool; it’s clearly built by true Go lovers who care about the community and the art of the game.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to step up their Go game!

Very instructive and fun. Great for those who want to improve their skills and don't have access to go clubs.

I love how Go Magic motivates you to learn more about go. Not only does it have great lessons with helpful problems throughout, but it has a skill tree broken down to help you build your skills in various areas, and it keeps track of your skill in those areas, as well as encouraging you with XP and coins. I love how it gamifies the learning experience while combining that with great learning opportunities.

Love the passion of all the instructors and the depth combined with simplicity offered through the lessons.

Go Magic was the best educational Go platform I found. The courses are extremely informative and very helpful. They helped me understand numerous things that confused me when I started Go. I would recommend Go Magic to anyone.
While the quality of the courses is amazing, I find that the pricing is a bit too high, but I understand that Go Magic’s targeted audience is small.

Go magic is the sensei. Many thanks for your efforts
