Hidden Fee - for donating money to a charity? WTAF!
So. Donated what I believed was going to be £25. Added gift aid. £6.25. Then. Noticed a payment for £28.75 had left my bank!! I was charged 1.2% + 20p! Apparently there IS something you can click to not have this! But clearly not clear! And definitely not so if you're not expecting it. Spoilt what should have been a joyous action of donating to an amazing trek round the UK coastline for cancer charities by a friend!

Fundraising with GiftWheel.
Our supporters seemed to have a straightforward experience as no one contacted us to say their donation hadn’t gone through. We were very grateful for that. We received an email after every donation which kept us informed and these emails were exciting to receive.

I struggled to find a fundraising page…
I struggled to find a fundraising page that would allow for multiple charities. Give Wheel was easy to set up and even allowed Strava integration to keep people updated of my progress.

Not transparent to me
Like some others, I was surprised to find I was charged for my donation - in my case, 15% extra. It was not clear to me that I had agreed to give anything at all, beyond the actual donation. Please make it absolutely transparent, to avoid leaving a bad impression.

Useful and adaptable platform with a great support team
We needed to find a fund-raising platform to raise donations for our friend who has MND. Givewheel provided a succinct way of splitting out charity donations and also the ability to retain a small amount of the fundraising to complete mobility changes on our friend’s house. We also added further MND charities as the fundraiser gained traction. Both Matt and Charlie were incredibly helpful as we amended things during the process.

So impressed with GiveWheel
So impressed with GiveWheel! They reply to emails so quickly, answering queries promptly and in a clear way. They also follow up to check customer satisfaction. I was helped with my query by Charlie, who was great, and I was impressed to have the same person dealing with my query each time and therefore a continued, consistent conversation, without having to start again with someone new.
I am so glad to have discovered GiveWheel because it is great to be able to fundraise for any number of charities, indicate the percentage for each charity and leave GiveWheel to do the rest.
Donations are processed at the beginning of each month, taking about a week to enter the charity account(s).

Everything worked as intended
Everything worked as intended. I also had good help with setting up the page when something didn't immediately go as expected. Supporters seemed to have no issues pledging their gifts. And the charities have had good feedback.

Great experience
I used GiveWheel for a recent fundraiser, selling tickets to a fundraising workout and had a great experience using their platform.
The system was updated during my time using it, giving greater functionality.
Whenever I experienced an issues or needed help, the support team were quick to respond to emails.
It's a great platform if you wish to support multiple charities - the money will be divided between them. Plus, unlike most alternative platforms they don't charge fees - the full donation goes to the charity.
Would definitely use again.
