Really awsome hosts would highly recommend. They start the investigation and you carry it on, teaching you how to use the different equipment to contact the paranormal. Im a person who is on the fence with believing but this experience definitely opened my eyes a lot more. So would highly recommend.

I recently attended a ghost hunt at Shepton Mallet Prison. Firstly, I want to say that every member of staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and considerate throughout the night. They were approachable and clearly passionate about what they do.

However, I left feeling quite disappointed with the overall experience.

The main issue was the sheer number of people booked onto the event. It felt overcrowded, which made it very difficult to carry out any meaningful investigation. There wasn’t much opportunity to explore each section of the prison in a controlled, structured way with one of the company’s investigators. As a result, it felt like we missed out on potential activity simply because we didn’t have guided access to all areas in an organised manner.

Although we were allowed to conduct our own investigations during free time, this unfortunately felt pointless due to the number of people wandering around and making noise. It was almost impossible to maintain a focused, quiet vigil when others were entering and exiting spaces constantly — sometimes simply reading signage as though on a tour. This completely broke the atmosphere and made serious investigation very challenging.

It was also disappointing that a promotional video was being filmed on the same night. During our allocated free time, access to a particular section of the prison was restricted for filming. Our group had been especially keen to investigate that area, so not being able to enter it was frustrating. Later in the night, when we were finally engaged in an active session, members of the team walking through the background again disrupted the environment.

Additionally, the constant radio chatter between staff during vigils became very distracting. While I understand communication is necessary for safety, it significantly affected the atmosphere.

There was also a lack of organisation regarding equipment distribution. While there appeared to be plenty available, there was no system in place. It became a free-for-all at the start of the night, with the first group taking multiple pieces of equipment, leaving others with very limited options.

Overall, the team themselves were lovely, but the event felt uncontrolled and ineffective as a serious paranormal investigation experience. With fewer participants, better structure, clearer equipment management, and uninterrupted investigation time, this could have been a far more immersive and worthwhile experience.

Unfortunately, I left feeling that we missed a real opportunity to fully explore what Shepton Mallet Prison might have had to offer in a more focused and controlled setting.

Went to Britton House in Devon on 06/02/2026. First time using the company,I have to say, it was a delight. The staff was caring, professional and good fun. Always opened up and closed down things ,which in my opinion is very good. I have never been to organisation that has ever done this. Thank you. I will definitely be back.

The professionalism and knowledge of the team led to a brilliant night

Had a fantastic night at Teignmouth last night, with my two daughters and son in law. Very friendly professional hosts. We experienced a lot of activity and tried out many different tests. Loved the way that the evening started with protection. Very knowledgeable staff, will certainly use this company again.

Had a fantastic night. Team was all very friendly and welcoming, and even surprised my sister with a birthday cake, such a kind gesture. Well done guys

Had a fab night

They joined in more this time been 3 time's before but cullompton was far the best one. The event ran a lot better when the team joined in . And the team that was at cullompton seam a lot more engaging . Previous time's a few team members have been less approachable

I liked what the paranormal team did to help the guests to communicate with the other side. The thing I found so amazing was the ghost box session I have seen it done on TV but to do it myself was mind blowing

Had an amazing experience at our ghostly nights experience at st Nicholas priory. Amazing atmosphere and great communication with the spirits due to the amazing staff helping guide us and providing us with equipment throughout the night.

I always wanted to do this and the venue was perfect. Really friendly staff. Nice group of people there and conversations were great. Enjoyed the ouja board and want to do table tipping next time.

It was our first time at one of these nights and the organisers made us feel very welcome and at ease. My step daughter got quite anxious at the beginning and she was treated with compassion and understanding by the team. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and can't wait for the next one!

A really great experience, run by a really friendly and knowledgable team, our evening of paranormal investigation really was memorable and had so many unexplainable moments. We were able to use a lot of different equipment and techniques to try and make contact, some of which gave us results we really could not explain. We had an excellent evening and would not hesitate to attend again and recommend to anyone.

Great fun, very eye opening. The team were fantastic, friendly and really ensured the event run smoothly.

Such a fun experience with a great team, this was at Bitton House. Loads of paranormal things happened, it’s worth the money. We will definitely be booking another experience in 2026. Thank you Ghostly Nights x

Great evening in a very interesting venue. Plenty of activity curated by a great group of people who add to the enjoyment of the evening through a well organised and structured event with the opportunity to do your own thing as well as taking part in organised vigils whilst getting the opportunity to use lots of different bits of equipment. I highly recommend Ghostly Nights if you are interested in the paranormal and want to be well looked after. Shepton Mallet Prison was an interesting venue with lots of history. Lots of differing activity. Hayley, Claire, Anthony, David and Julie were, as always, excellent hosts.
