Effortless, simple and gives me peace of mind
I've been using Sorted for 2 years now since I became a freelancer, and they have made the experience so effortless. I do not speak German, and even if I did I think the German tax system (or any for that matter) would be a lot for me.
I am using a non-subscription right now and using it mainly for tracking income and expenses. I've used the tax advisor services once, and I had a great experience with Udo. Super clear for someone like me who lives more on the creative side of life and finds these tasks (business admin or life admin) difficult.

I love Sorted!!!
I was previously paying an accountant €95/month to do my VAT reporting, and another €900 to file my end of year income tax. Now it's just €20/month for everything!
Plus I have much clearer visibility and understanding of how my freelance finances actually work, with a clear dashboard instead of cryptic reports from the accountant.
I've recommend Sorted to all my freelancer friends!

Freelance user since Aug 22. Nothing but ease and simple process. As an Expat in Germany this really really helps. Based in Berlin there are currently little available tax advisors so having Sorted saved me here!

Great service
Very simple and easy to use, always on point with all the features. Been a costumer for 2 years and loving it, i work freelance in advertising from germany to all kinds of countries and the make invoicing outside of germany too so easy

Can be improved
Good idea and it's working more or less but for such a price, one can expect more functions like the possibility to do estimates or invoice customization. Many little bugs and the support is also not really reactive if you have a problem.

Recommend for new freelancers
I've been using the service for 1 year and I'm very happy with it. Super easy to navigate, easy access to professional tax consultants and support in my native language.
Sorted takes all of the complicated tax paperwork but also registration and makes it achievable in a few clicks. It's also really affordable!

I just sent my Q3 VAT return in 3 clicks
I started using Sorted when I became a freelancer at the start of the year. So far the experience has been great! I create my invoices in the tool and track all expenses as well. This morning I received an email to say that Q3 VAT is due in 7 days. I logged in (1st click), clicked on Taxes (2nd click) and then clicked on "submit Q3 VAT" (3rd click).

Sorted a must for newbie Freelancers
Sorted has really helped me settle into freelancing in Germany. As an expat, unfamiliar with the tax system, Sorted is really helpful in organising all my documents with handy reminders of when to do tax submissions.

good, but the introductory price is not realistic for freelancers, you need to pay premium
things work ok, but you still need to understand the basics of what is required tax wise, I don't think I would have had the confidence to use this site unless I was already familiar with the system from years of living in Germany. I have some years without freelance income and stopped completely during Covid games to avoid the insanity, I started with sorted as I just needed to submit the simplest of return, i.e. 0 income, 0 Vat etc.. the price seemed good, but in the end I have to pay 240 a year to do this as VAT submissions are only available with the premium account, so for what I need it is actually very expensive until I start the next project, after which I will be able to test if further.

Very pleased with the software - am able to do VAT easily, create invoices and generate expenses, and enlist the help of a tax advisor if required for more complex needs.

This was a gamechanger
This changed my whole outlook. Taxes were overwhelming for me and counting everything at the end of the month began to be a chore that was overwhelming so I put it off. Now I can do it little by little. I also couldnt find an affordable tax person and now I dont need one.
