eine fantastische Erfahrung - in zwei sehr unterschiedlichen Steuerjahren
Ich habe Sorted ein Jahr lang nur für die Erstellung und Verfolgung meiner Rechnungen verwendet. Das war im kostenlosen Plan und ein sehr einfaches, organisiertes System.
In diesem Jahr habe ich ein bezahltes Konto eröffnet, und das Kundenserviceteam war bei der Beantwortung meiner Fragen stets hilfsbereit, schnell und freundlich. Vielen Dank an Mariana und das Team von Sorted.de.

Too expensive for what's offered
The in-browser software is generally user-friendly, and it's nice they offer everything in English, which most other German tax software doesn't. Their customer support also usually answers fairly quickly. However, it's much more expensive than other software. The amount you pay after all the time you spend doing your own taxes, you might consider simply hiring an accountant. Also, sometimes certain functions are down, preventing you from submitting reports to the tax office. Customer support has also been promising needed new features for months that never show up. "It's coming..." but it never comes.

It has not been a great experience
It has not been a great experience. Especially at the end of the year. It seems that reports can never be completed when you are submitting them to the Tax Office. This seems to happen every year. Makes me wonder if there is some sort of nefarious behaviour at play. I asked for the time that the system was down to add it back to my subscription. They have not responded.My guess is that it will be declined.

Outstanding Service
I have been using Sorted since Feb 2021 and honestly, would not have been able to survive without it. As an expat, and a lazy, lousy German speaker, it meant that I had a way in which to make money without having to deal with the complications of an already complicated system.
Not completely without flaws, after a few months of using the free service, I started to pay premium. Its one of the very few services I would recommend to literally anyone. Honestly, even if german isn't your first language, it's great.

Getsorted highly recommended
It is very easy to use with simple-to-follow instructions and what's more collects all your transactions, if you connect your bank account, and you don't have much work to do.
The helpdesk was also very helpful in solving the problem/issues as soon as possible.
I recommend their service to all the freelancers wherever possible

Easy set up and low maintainance
Easy set up and low maintainance. Having taxes and invoices and expences all in the same platform is very useful.
However, every action that requires a tax advisoris extremely expensive.

Passive-agressive support (Fanny). There is no normal option to change your email and/or password, they ask you to create a new account to migrate everything. And when you wonder why should it be so complicated, they answer you with "I'm sorry to hear that you believe it is complicated, but please note that all you have to do is..." :)

What Fanny was trying to highlight is the fact that we understand that Sorted may not have the easiest or best way to change an email address associated with an account, but currently it is the only way due to the technological limitations that we have with our platform. We cannot simply change the email address. We need a user to create a new account with their desired new email address first.
Fanny has noted and passed your feedback to our product team about how easy it is to change the email on other services. They will try to prioritise it on the product roadmap.

Sorted is fantastic!
As an elementary German speaker, navigating the tax system is challenging - even more so as a freelancer. Sorted really guides you through the process and has made me feel a lot more in control of what is going on - all in English. I recommend it to people all the time!

Sorted does it for me...
Sorted has done a great job at simplifying the experience of filing taxes in Germany. The tool is easy to use, gives a good overview of your taxes and finances, reminds you to submit your reports in time and great for freelancers who struggle with the German language. Moreover, I found their customer support very prompt, personal and helpful, without the hassles and un-ending loops of automated responses.

Perfect for expat freelancers
