We’re really sorry to hear about your experience, especially after using Chip without issues for so long. That sounds incredibly frustrating.

To clarify, there’s no intention to make accessing your money difficult. Our Smart ISA follows a newer transfer process, and while most providers support this, some banks are still updating their procedures. Unfortunately, this can lead to delays or rejected transfers, as you experienced with Barclays.

We completely understand how disappointing it is to lose your ISA status as a result. That’s not the outcome we want for our customers, and we’re continuing to work with providers to improve compatibility and make transfers smoother.
