I thought it wasnt a legit company..
I was obviously worried at first as its a lot of money to be going through HRT. But gendergp made it really easy. I signed up and told them how i felt. Soon after i recieved my care documents, diagnosis, and treatment. it was such an easy process and the best decision i made. i wouldnt go back and wish i did this through a different company.

Would rate them zero if I could. Scam of a company. Using ai chat bot. No way of contacting anyone for any support
After paying £340+ to sign up, couldn't book an appointment, couldn't confirm my legal name, couldn't update my address, no way of getting in touch for support. Absolute joke of a company.

So I ended up signing up for this to start my transition. Unfortunately, I found out after the fact that if you want to do anything with your transition meaning to try to up your dosage or add any type of blocker or anything else you have to try to contact them through a AI style chat system. You can't actually speak to a actual person. This is wrong in so many levels, especially when they are prescribing a prescription medication. You would expect to be able to contact the doctor or someone in case you ended up having a allergic reaction or start having adverse side effects or anything like that but you can't. You have to try to do the chat system that when you try to get in contact with the prescribing doctor you type in prescribing doctor. You type in the actual doctor that prescribed it to you and then it seems like the chat system is going to respond but then it just stops. You can't talk to anyone directly. You can't call them. You can't nothing. Then on top of that they lock you in for 6 months and if you cancel before the 6 months they charge you all 6 months right then and there. That is not the way to end up running a business that is prescribing HRT to people. The service is horrible because you can't get in touch with anyone. I would recommend staying away from this company all together. I'm going to switch to another place and I'm just going to let that subscription go away on its own. I already switched my card that's on file with them to a card that only has $1 on it and cannot be overdrafted recommend you do this if you decide to go with them, which I strongly suggest you don't
Update after they ended up commenting on my review. They don't get back to you for almost 3 weeks and even when you talk to someone they don't give you any type of information and then when you ask to be put on something you don't hear anything back from them

They still don't message you back and yet they still want you to end up paying when they don't end up messaging you. You guys will not get a single cent more out of me. You can forget about it and I've already switched to a different doctor. Do not use these guys, they're just looking to get your money and they're not there to actually help you with your transition

Passport Application Letter
I used gender GP to obtain a letter to the passport office confirming my change of gender and in support of my application. I paid £75 for an appointment and then the letter to be sent to me. The letter arrived and I sent it in with my passport application. I then received a call from the passport office saying that the letter was rejected because the doctor who wrote it didn’t meet the criteria required (being GMC registered which he wasn’t because he was a Spanish doctor who practises there?!?!?) When the passport office tried to contact him after they couldn’t find his medical qualifications, he gave no response so the letter was rejected. I took this matter up with GGP but they refused to help because “the letter met the criteria, and the doctor was the only one qualified to write this letter” so now I’m short of £75. Thank god I’m not using GGP for anything medical because I dread to think of the lack of care they give their patients.

My bad experience with GenderGP
I would not at all advice people to use GenderGP, I spent three months paying for my subscription fees and the additional costs (paper presciption), and I never recived my presciption til this day. Which only left me more stressed then before.
There was also a big lack of human contact which I didn't recive once during my whole time with them, and they have instead focused more on automated systems and ai to help people. If you have any question or need to talk to somone you need to pay extra money for a short session just to have your question answerd by a human and it feels like it is a system to exploit people in a vulnerable state.
So I strongly recomeend to look somewhere as they took my money for three months and gave me zero medical support in return other then automated responses. I didn't at all feel welcomed or helped at all.

Thousands wasted.
I have been paying £30 a month to gendergp for about 5 years, paying quarterly for my meds when I ran out and living fairly easily as I could email someone when something came up and get a fairly quick response. The only issue being clearly stating my name and my legal name for medical purposes like they ask you to do and getting medicine with my name instead of my legal one which meant difficulties getting meds dispensed and having to get dead named by their own service Everytime I use it because apparently they don't understand their own distinctions on their own website but that was honestly a manageable issue. After getting a pretty serious medication in a leuprolide depot through them 3 months ago their "helpful automated" hub has meant I am missing finesteride for over a week and am overdue on my leuprolide depot which is pretty serious if you didn't know. And on top of that I was meant to get my new prescription already which is still missing even though it would have been late if they sent it when they were supposed too. I have never felt more mistreated, objectified, and dehumanized then I have trying to e-beg a chat bot to give me the medications I am in genuine need of while being asked to pay extra money for a 5 minute chat in 2 weeks or something. If you are looking through their website considering weather to go with them or not. Don't. Find literally anyone else as they aren't even the cheapest option anymore, and they are definitely, unquestionably the worst and least helpful option.

Great experience with initial consultation
Had my first consultation with James Morris. I was nervous but it was absolutely fine. Really lovely and friendly atmosphere and the consultation was not invasive at all. Would definitely recommend to those looking for an efficient and easier way to enter gender affirming care.

Terrible Help Service, Take Money Without Fixing Issue
GenderGP have implemented an ID verification system, and it doesn't work. I have provided them with everything they've asked for multiple times but they keep telling they can "see my ID is valid" and need to provide a selfie when prompted. It never prompts you to do so.
I have been in contact with their "help" service for over 2 weeks now with no response, and they've continued taking my money while not providing assistance or the medical care I pay them for.
Edit: and you can't even spell a name written down in front of you

DO NOT GO WITH GENDER GP
I have been with GenderGP for 7 months for FTM testosterone treatment and my experience has been extremely poor.
Despite paying ongoing subscription fees, I was under-dosed for months with almost no physical changes. My blood test in January 2026 showed a testosterone level of 10.5 nmol/L, which is below the typical male range. GenderGP themselves confirmed in writing that the recommendation was to increase my dose.
However, I then received no responses to multiple emails for over 4 weeks, despite this being a medical issue involving hormone treatment. During this time, my care was effectively paused with no clinical support.
When they eventually replied, they placed the responsibility back on me to explain what I wanted, rather than proactively correcting the under-treatment. This delay and lack of communication caused significant distress.
For a paid healthcare service, this level of responsiveness and continuity of care is unacceptable. I would not recommend GenderGP to anyone who needs timely, reliable hormone management.
I am now perusing a formal complaint and chargeback for my banks

Please go anywhere else.
GenderGP used to be an incredible service and I really mean used. I’ve been with them since 2018 and watching the steady downhill slide year after year has been honestly upsetting. It’s started to feel like a for-profit machine that leans heavily on young trans people instead of properly supporting them.
Need to speak to someone quickly? That’ll be £7.99.
Need a blood test sorted? That’s £25.
Want to talk about changing your meds? Good luck feels like you get told when you’re allowed, not listened to.
And trying to get replies from support emails feels like shouting into the void half the time.
There are providers out there like Anne.health and others that actually feel like they care about trans patients and their wellbeing. Based on my experience, I genuinely wouldn’t recommend GenderGP to anyone thinking of signing up.

Lethargic...and delayed... communication
Okay once you get your hormones. I ran out of half of my medicines 3 weeks ago and reaching out to GenderGP has not been easy. The Hub sent me round in circles and emailing was pretty useless. It is very difficult to get in touch with GenderGP. I sent 2 emails over a week ago but there is no response.
I got a prescription that was not correct and I have emailed twice to get some help and I am still waiting. There is not much I can do. Until they respond I just have to wait.
It has affected my dysphoria waiting like this and my depression.
Repeat prescription 3 months…
Repeat prescription 3 months automatically renew is such a pain for those who can't afford a big amount of money at once without no alternative option given.
They prove me on e again they don't care about patients just about bomber and money.
They have no clue about the negative mental health impact and the stress this affects about disphoria and suicidal mental thoughts.
Mad, very bad.
No good.
