Hidden Charges Shock
The wine was payed for when ordering. It came as a complete shock when the delivery company (UPS) wanted to charge me 150% on top of what I had already paid.

There was some confusion with the…
There was some confusion with the delivery which came on two seperate days, but this was actually down to UPS. When contacted, Garrafeira da Ilha got back via email within the hour with the explanation and new shipping number. This was Christmas week, as well. The wine is lovely, exactly as ordered and excellent value for money. As someone else said, though, it's a shame they have to use UPS who are not my favourite delivery company.

Poor customer service
I ordered 16 bottles of wine from Garrafeira Da Llha. I received 13 bottles(in a 12 bottle case) When I contacted the company I was told that UPS said that box 2 was damaged. I did not received the remainder of the order and Garrafeira says they have to wait until UPS delivers the undamaged part of the shipment. Meanwhile weeks have gone by and I have not received anything.

First time ordering and was a little cautious.. the order went smoothly (20 bottles) .. order was delivered to Ireland in around 5-6 working days .. the price of wine was good and the shipping costs were not expensive.. will definitely order again

Pessima esperienza. Ordino una bottiglia di vino e ne arriva una diversa. Dopo aver protestato mi hanno detto che quella che mi hanno inviata era un vino simile. Ho risposto che potevano avvisarmi prima di spedirla se ero d'accordo e mi hanno detto che non avevano tempo visto il periodo (Natale e black friday). La mia richiesta di rimborso non è stata accettata. Mai più!!!

Disappointed from Ireland
Unfortunately we ordered 4 boxes of wine on November 25th. They say they ship in 5 to 7 days but as of today Dec.13th '25 my wine has not arrived. They have taken the money from my account. Furthermore I've contacted them 4 times by email with no response.

Decent prices, great selection, easy to pay, fast delivery. It was my trial purchase of 12 bottles first. Completely forgot to order my favourite: porto. Will definitely order again.

NON RECEIPT OF ORDER, WILL NOT ANSWER EMAILS
Did not receive my last shipment as it was damaged at the carrier's facility. Cannot get Garrafeira da Ilha to answer my emails or online chat so have no idea if or when I will get my order that I have paid for.
UPDATE: I did finally receive my order which had been repackaged with one less bottle of wine in the case. My emails were eventually answered and a refund for a broken (and non receipt) of one bottle of wine was issued. A further communication from the company offered an apology and a discount on a future purchase. Although it took a while for a company response, they did do their best to make up for the lack of initial service.
