Initially I had a problem with the power cord. It was remedied by customer service quickly. The unit is the legit one, and the games aren't knock offs.

Love the console. It's crazy to play all the games that I did as a kid, now with my own kids. Super fun and haven't even scratched the surface of games available.

I've made several purchases now and been met with excellent customer service and an excellent product every time. So many games across so many consoles that I had forgotten from my childhood. System works perfectly and everything I've asked has been responded to eagerly and happily. Couldn't ask for better service. I would recommend purchasing here before anywhere else to my friends and family. Great shopping experience.

Received my raspberry pi with an SD card that was going corrupt. When I reached out for assistance they asked for a very minimum amount of evidence and was quick to send out a new SD card.

The system is exactly what was described. Actually, no, it was better than that. So many great games and they work perfectly. I've only had the chance to play about 40 games but they are excellent. What is even better, though is the customer service. They communicate well and will answer any questions and are there to help. I am very happy with everything about this purchase.

I love the fact that this company are very kind and do help people I have had some issues where Dreamcast wasn't added into my SD card and the company sent me the actual SD card I needed. Now I'm having some issues with some games and he is still helping me with my situation which I truly appreciate I will buy from this company again as I'm thankful for their customer service they also make sure the customer is satisfied with their purchase I'm loving a lot of great games in my Sega Genesis Mini I love the fact to have all of my favorite games in one system and not have to connect my Nintendo or Sega Genesis it saves so much space I love it!

Slight issue with lost library but was fully resolved. Solid support and quality outcome.

This company was great to work with! It was easy to order our system. When we got it, after using it once, there was a little glitch to it. I emailed the company and they got back to me very quickly. They fixed the issue very quickly and politely. I'll use these guys again!

The first game consoles we received didn't work. The second replacement also didn't work. We received a refund from Amazon. QC is an issue with the products we received.

System is great. And the service is even better.

The console I purchased is a fun idea but is very cheaply made and not worth the money I paid for it. It's slow to start up and frequently has to be restarted during game play. During game play, the games suddenly slow down and the music sounds broken. This happens often and pretty much defeats the purpose of owning this console.

Great product! So many classic games from ky childhood, I feel like being teen again! Customer service is excellent, too!

Purchased an NES/SNES combo unit as a birthday gift for my sons. SNES gameplay had several issues (minimized screen size, poor audio quality and severely reduced gameplay speed). While it took a while to get the support needed to resolve these issues, I eventually received a complimentary replacement SD card which quickly fixed our SNES woes. Appreciate your getting on top of this, Max!

I bought the Super Nintendo classic ultimate and it’s an Excellent system. It’s the greatest new retro system I’ve ever played. Great value for the price, and excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

Our system quit working after a month. Game Gear replaced it with out making a big deal. Thanks ! it was my kids Christmas gift.

When I received the product (The R1 with 12,874 games in the NES casing) after a couple weeks from the time I ordered it, it didn't come with the controllers I ordered, USB Hub for multi-player, or even the HDMI cable needed to use it. I was very worried at this point. I contacted Max Fu and he wanted to do everything in his power to make it right. He had the HDMI cable and USB hub shipped to my home at no extra cost. He also gave me a partial refund because of the price difference between the 4 wireless controllers I ordered and the 4 wired controllers I actually received. It took him a little while to respond to my concerns, but he fixed every single mistake the company made. He apologized and asked if there was anything else he could possibly do for me. He even answered my questions about how to get access to certain menus so I could customize my controls and utilize save states.
As for the R1 itself, I am very happy with it! It actually works as advertised. Every single game I wanted to actually play so far is on here. Most of the Famicom and Super Famicom games I tried are fully translated. The most problematic game so far is Goldeneye on N64. I own the physical copy of the game, so I'm not disappointed that it doesn't work, I just know a lot of emulators have trouble running it, so I tried it to see if this one actually could. And it doesn't run well on here either. However, Banjo Kazooie has been working great (aside from some cutscene glitches) and the same is true for Sonic Adventure. I have a couple small issues I could pick at like having to customize Nintendo DS and Openbor controls every time I turn the system on, sometimes I have to turn the system on twice for it to actually turn on, and some games, like Titus the Fox, won't load properly. I tried a lot of different games and spent the weekend I got it just going through games and testing the limits of the system. I'm no expert on frame rates and technical analysis, so there may be things I just didn't notice that need to be mentioned, but almost every game I tried ran well. I had no audio issues either. I haven't tried recording footage yet from my capture card, so I can't show that off yet, but I definitely plan to record some game footage directly from the product.
I also want to reiterate a couple things. This does not play your game cartridges. Also, I have a Super Retro Trio, and some of the physical games I own constantly crash on it. (Battletoads, for example) However, on this, I can quickly load it up from the menu and it runs perfectly fine. It's a great space saver if you enjoy playing a lot of your old collection, but want one compact unit to play it on instead of having all your old consoles creating messes of wires in your entertainment center. It's also nice to take to a friend's house, plug it in, and play some old arcade games together. I absolutely love this. Not only that, but I have a two-year warranty on it, so I know if something goes wrong with it in that time, Max will do what he can to get it running again.

SUMMARY: If you have some very specific games from unpopular systems that you absolutely need to play again, you may be rolling the dice with this product as to whether it meets your expectations. However, if you are like me, and wanted access to thousands of games (I still can't believe I can finally play some of these games) and don't mind if a few from each console aren't running perfectly or that maybe you can't play a couple you hoped you could (Star Fox is not on this by the way) the R1 is amazing. I love it so much and have had it for over a month now. It's a ton of fun. I love that I can play everything from Atari 7800 games I enjoyed as a kid to PS1 games I missed out on.

As for Max Fu and his customer service. He may not respond as quickly as one would hope, but he went above and beyond for me to make sure that I was happy with the purchase. He gave a partial refund when necessary, sent the components I needed, and answered all of my questions about how to access certain things in the emulators themselves. It's not a 100% perfect experience or product, but it is well worth everything I spent on it. This has already, and will continue to, get a lot of use. Also, if you're more tech savvy than me, you could probably build this and compile the roms yourself for cheaper, but if you don't have those skills, all that work is done for you, and paying a little bit extra to have had all of that already taken care of, makes this a great purchase.
