My childhood in an SD card

I use this as the heart of my homemade arcade machine. Nothing takes me back to my childhood like playing the X-Men or TMNT arcade games! Plus, my kids also love it, which makes me even happier!

Gave it two stars because they did try…

Gave it two stars because they did try to help me. But after using the second micro sd card sent to me and it still didn’t work I give it 2 stars. Super laggy. Unable to play any games! Disappointing.

The issue likely stems from a faulty Raspberry Pi or an insufficient power supply, rather than a bad SD card.

We recommend using a dedicated Raspberry Pi power supply, such as this one: [https://www.gamegear.net/products/sonicon-power-supply-charger-ac-adapter-micro-usb-type-c-w-power-on-off-switch-usb-c-adapter-for-raspberry-pi-3-4-3-3ft]

Doesn't work.....

I received my console and the entire NES package does not work. It either freezes or randomly resets every few minutes. I attempted the troubleshooting techniques suggested and that I could find, but nothing helps. I've reached out multiple time for assistance via multiple methods they provide, but never receive a response other than their generic "your message has been received....." For a company that includes a card in the package that says "SATISFACTION GUARANTEED - Thing could happen. Bad feedback only slows things down. Return, exchange, upgrade.....We have a solution that surpasses customers' expectations," they obviously don't follow through. At this point, I feel compelled to leave a poor review based upon their silence.

Honest people, may take a bit to reply though.

They responded late. However, when they did they made every effort to make it right. I am satisfied with their efforts and have revised my review accordingly. Aside from that everything else was on point. I would like to express my thanks for their resolution to my issue.

Please note that the Elite controller you purchased features a new design with an enlarged grip for improved handling. However, it is not compatible with aftermarket products designed for the Sony DualShock 4 controllers.

I have sent you a prepaid return label. Please seal the product in the original shipping box and take it to your local post office.

Awesome product

Initially had some technical issues, but the customer service was amazing and got us fixed up in a very timely fashion. Highly recommend

Excellent customer service

Item ordered on Dec 15, shipped on Dec 16. The tracking info link I received showed the status was "not available" and that status was never updated. 24 days after the shipping, I still had not received the item (it was supposed to be "expedited" shipping), so I contacted the GameGear support.

At the time of ordering, the ongoing Canada Post strike was just ending, so Canada Post had a lot of backlog items to be delivered, so the item I ordered may have been lost in transit.
GameGear offered me to re-ship the same item and told me I could keep the both items if the earlier item arrives eventually.
But I did not need the item at this point, so I asked for a full refund. I got a full refund without any further questions asked even though the circumstance of the item not delivered was not GameGear's fault and not under their control.

It is unfortunate I didn't get the item (now it's 32 days after my order, the item still did not arrive), but I am very impressed with GameGear's customer support and how they handled this issue.
Max from GameGear support was very kind and attentive to take care of this matter.

Based on this experience, I am confident that GameGear is a trustworthy seller, and I will certainly order again if I find something interesting on their website.

Awesome Retro gaming Console!

Took my simple raspberry pi system and loaded it up with ALL of the games I remember from
my childhood from the 80's through the early 2000's. It was a simple plug and play, if you have basic computer hardware skills you can do this. Great + responsive customer service too. Highly recommended!

Audio out does not work for my arcade…

Audio out does not work for my arcade speakers was told to buy a HDMI audio retractor and refused to refund me.

I bought a SNES Classic Edition…

I bought a SNES Classic Edition Ultimate, which is a great product overall, but they have a full list of games that are included on it on their website, so you expect everything on here to be included. The list of N64 games was completely missing from my console. I have been trying for weeks to contact their support to ask about it, but they will not even give me a response as of yet. I have not been rude to them, just trying to get an answer from them. It really bothers me that they claim to stand by their products and offer support and solutions, but then they just stone cold ignore me. I may return the product, but to do that, you still have to rely on them answering your email to give you a return address, so I may never get that response either.

To unlock the hidden systems, including N64, please follow these steps: press "Start" to access the Main Menu, then go to "Game Collection Settings > System Displayed" and check the boxes for the systems you wish to unlock.

Please note that you’ll need modern controllers with two analog sticks or USB N64 controllers to play N64 games. The mini cartridge, which has a magnet and attaches to the console, is purely decorative.

The N64 games are hidden because SNES controllers do not support 3D games. I have updated the game lists on the product detail page to avoid confusion.

Please let me know if you need help to find the USB N64 controllers (sorry, we are out of these).

I purchased the Nintendo emulator for…

UPDATE: Max reached out to me and has resolved the situation. He went above and beyond to get me the new unit quickly and my husband was happily gaming two days later. The system itself is great and has all the games, even the rare not so popular ones he likes to play.

I purchased the Nintendo emulator for my husband for our anniversary. He played it for one week, and then the games would not load. When you select a game from the list it just brings you back to the list. My husband and I have been trying to reach customer support for over a week now. We have sent messages and emails and have not heard anything back. I’m so disappointed and apparently out $200.
