So I told you that I would let you know how things turned out with my negotiations with Gab. Tom, is the guy who helped me and he resolved the situation & because the Ad system is new they have zeroed the balance owed and deleted the ad account per my request.

Crazies, incessant, unending spam bots. Pretty much unusable.

Twitter is the home of most extreme delusional left who promote culture wars and the decline of western civilisation. Gab is the home the equally delusional right who blame all the world's issues on one or two groups of people. Anything they don't like in the MSM is always fake news, despite the fact they're own evidence of foulplay is usually incredibly fake.

All I can think of is how the internet has made tribalist dumps possible.

Gab started out quite nice back when it was new during 2016, over the years it's become worse and worse to the point where it's a garbage and degraded version of twitter. Allot of the reasons are political in-fighting, people seem to have no desire or ability to try and understand each other.

There's also allot of christianity being pushed, I find that insulting since they will go out of their way to shoehorn said belief into any group/discussion. It's quite funny how they are so two-faced about it, complaining that other faiths cause division while they themselves think you deserve to burn for all eternity for not believing in their preferred sky-daddy and his dead jew on a stick son.

Edit: I forgot that during christmas, they sent some really disgusting email about how Jesus was the "reason for the season" despite christmas being nothing more than a norse pagan holiday that was taken by christians and changed into what we know thing of as "Christmas or Xmas".

There are some censorship, some groups will just block you from their group (I got blocked from Politically Incorrect for som reason). Others have had posts deleted without warning, happens mainly to the natsok/national socialist people. Allot of people try and discredit the site, saying it's mainly far right/white supremacists. Very few of those actually exist on the site, which is funny cause it's totally fine to hate white people on twitter and facebook but question things like the holocaust or the slave triangle and you instantly get booted.

Lastly, it feels like allot of people on the site are very fake and/or are putting up some kind of persona. The site has problems now and again with spam-bots and feds that try and cause something to get upset about.

I would have a hard time recommending the site, since I used to be on it when it was new then deleted my account and came back a few years later. It can be worth giving it a try, just be aware that it's not nearly as good as it used to be.

Edit: decided to leave the site for good. Felt it was just as much of a cancerous cesspit as twitter just not with the "white supremacy/far right" label slapped onto it by people that love circlejerking to icons like Karl Marx, Stalin and Che Guivare.

I have had several problems with Gab. I am a 2 year paid member. Once an "official notice" was sent saying I that was inciting violence. It was an outright lie. I had administration check my entire account and they found nothing. Then no one from gab would ever respond again. Today I was attempting to clean up and make changes to what I mistakenly thought was "my account." Gab restricted my ability to follow but not remove those I no longer want to follow? Gab is getting more like fakebook. No logic ... just restricts me from info I want to access. Just 'cos.

Gab is what a social networking site should be. Gab is committed to a 1st amendment standard for speech. Compared to Facebook or Twitter it may feel a bit clunky but both those sites also have nearly a decade of development head start. As a Gabber I feel like the customer instead of the product and I like the controls as well as the new marketplace. Excited to see where this goes.

I support free speech. Both Twitter and Gab seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum. No middle ground. Gab, unfortunately, is filled with white skinheads and Nazis. I’m not even joking. I hope, someday, this will change, but I was attacked of my Jewish heritage. Death threats. Seriously, if I was physically in a crowd with them, they would’ve beat me to death.

I am a strong proponent of free speech and believe GAB and its users should not be censored. That said, the site is a human sewer. It is filled with the most hateful content I have ever seen and usually wrapped in a mantle of religiosity. It is a window into the darkness of the human soul. The amount of Jew hate is overwhelming as commenters find a way to shoehorn it into the most mundane topics.

Gab has always censored but claims to be free speech. They censor more and more as time goes on.

They allow people to post in groups they join, but when someone posts the same thing in many groups, it repeatedly shows on the news feed. They send emails warning you, tell you that you are bad and threaten to ban you for simply posting something you like in many groups. This is the sort of insane stuff Facebook does.

How hard is it for them to add a filter to the news feed so users can choose to hide group posts?

If they do ban you and let you come back, they strip you of all of your followers and steal your groups.

I was banned from 4 of the largest conservative/patriot groups on Gab for posting memes ridiculing Nazis. That is all you need to know about Gab.

I initially enjoyed Gab and found many like minded people to discuss a variety of issues . Today I read an extremely offensive , racist , bigoted post and said as much in the comments . The resulting hatred that appeared in my inbox shortly thereafter was all the evidence I needed to determine that this is a racist , homophobic and bigoted site , not what I was hoping for . I am all for free speech but not when it is used for hatred .
Avoid Gab at all costs .

I dont see the point of this app, theres already stormfront for this kind of stuff. Basically its just a bunch of racist and anti semites with their wild conspiracy theories, the owner Andrew Torba is actually a well know anti semite posing as a kind christian soul. Deleted my account immediately, the app sucks as well because its just a web based app, on android or ios its just painful to use.

Freedom of speech is a fundamental right
and companies and organisations that about it should be praised even if their software isn't perfect

I love Gab, it has become my favorite social media platform. I do not see the prejudice, censorship and manipulation that I saw being doled out to conservatives on other platforms, plus I found it to be very user friendly. It’s geared toward patriotic conservatives but the same standards apply to everyone regardless of where you stand. There are hateful people on there, as there are on all platforms, but overall I think the people on Gab are nicer, friendlier people and there are a large number of groups you can join depending on your interest. I find myself on it more than any of the other platforms I am on and heartily recommend it to anyone who would like to express their ideas freely & have greater control over their own content.

Free speech. With constitutional limits, which is right on. You don't have to put things in code or intentionally misspell them to try to skip the AI and (compromised) fact checkers. Excellent, excellent. One of two or three social media companies that have any redeeming value to society.

As a long time social media user I have grown tired of the constant marketing on my timeline. Social media used to be fun, and about catching up with friends. That’s no longer the case on corporate social sites! From the constant marketing to date mining, it’s just not fun to be somebody else’s product.

I waited a long time to join Gab. Other sites have a false impression about Gab, and so I did not join the site until after Parler was deplatformed. What I discovered when I joined Gab was a website that I could use to curate my news feed to show me the types of content that interested me most. From technology discussions to breaking news, I always find something useful every time I open Gab.

Gab does not have an app in the corporate app stores, but instead uses a Progressive Web App. At first I thought this would be a drawback, but I’ve grown to love it since it uses almost no space on my phone.

If you’re looking to move on from the old social media sites, and want to go somewhere new, then this one is worth trying.

Gab.com is actually a free speech platform, unlike big tech platforms like Twitter or Facebook. I’ve been on for several months and can say what they are building is impressive. Unlike some posters who claim Gab is full of white supremacists (who have never used Gab) I see none of that in the groups/people I follow. Art, college football, design, so many communities that are helpful here. People actually having dialogues, and violence/threats aren’t tolerated (by law). Hate speech is still free speech, and while both sides may engage in that, Gab is self regulating and I rarely see any of it (much more on Twitter honestly, against white people). Gab also doesn’t allow porn (like Twitter). The big thing is they don’t let someone’s subjective opinion of free speech force them into creating a moderation policy that lines up with big tech, so that’s great. Some big names are on here and it’s growing like crazy (independents, liberals, conservatives) So give it a try. It’s awesome knowing that you don’t have to worry about Facebook adding labels to your own thoughts or encouraging/creeping on you to vote (or any other cause they want to push). Just create an add to home app/bookmark for gab.com, since it’s not in the app stores.
