Misuse of 3D Secure by Fourvenues
I am sharing this review to warn others about the lack of consumer protection when purchasing tickets through Fourvenues, including events at Pacha Ibiza.
On 26 September, I purchased a ticket (€136) via Fourvenues for Music On at Pacha Ibiza. At the venue entrance, I observed VIP tickets being resold for up to 75% less. These tickets are often obtained with stolen credit cards and resold outside the club. Purchasing them may result in you unknowingly participating in fraudulent activity.
I personally became a victim of such fraud on 30 June, when my Mastercard was used to make unauthorized purchases through Fourvenues. I notified them within two hours, while the transaction was still pending, and provided official evidence from UBS Bank and the Geneva Police. Despite receiving verified proof of fraud before any service was delivered, Fourvenues refused to cancel or refund the transaction, claiming that the payment had passed 3D Secure authentication.
However, under Mastercard Chargeback & Compliance Rules, 3D Secure does not override confirmed fraud. Once notified, a merchant must act in good faith and may lose 3D Secure protection if it proceeds with the transaction after being informed of fraud.
All communication channels at Fourvenues, including Fourvenues Risk Team, closed my case without explanation or answering any of my questions. I am now recovering my funds through my bank, Mastercard Compliance, and the Geneva Prosecutor’s Office — not with Fourvenues’ cooperation — and I will win.
If you experience unauthorized or fraudulent charges involving Fourvenues, do not rely on them for support. Document everything, contact your bank immediately, and report the case to the appropriate authorities. Protect your rights, as Fourvenues is using 3D secure to dismiss fraud claims.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry for the difficulties you have experienced, and we want to clarify the steps we took and the role of your issuing bank in this matter.
From the moment you contacted us, we:
1. Opened an immediate internal investigation and reviewed all the documents you shared, including the police report and the official letter from UBS.
2. Checked the transaction with our payment provider, where it was confirmed that the payment was fully authenticated with 3D Secure by your bank.
3. Submitted all evidence to your issuing bank during the chargeback, including your documents and all technical data showing that the liability for this type of fraud lies entirely with the issuing bank, according to Mastercard’s own rules.
4. Responded to the chargeback supporting your fraud claim, but the final decision was — and still is — 100% in the hands of your bank and Mastercard, not Fourvenues.
It is important to clarify that once a transaction is authenticated by the issuing bank and captured, a merchant cannot cancel or refund it unilaterally, even if the customer later reports fraud. Only the issuing bank can resolve the claim through the chargeback system.
For this reason, and despite our cooperation and timely submission of all evidence, your bank is solely responsible for reimbursing you, and we cannot override their decisions or actions.

Pacha drinks packages
I bought tickets for Pacha closing party but did not add on a drinks package, I emailed customer service and they advised me on what to do. I have received a refund for the old ticket and now don't have to worry about drinks while we're there
