Ruined Easter Dinner & $75 Prime Rib
Just had a $75 prime rib roast ruined for Easter. Was using sous vide, I’ve had issues before but was diligent in vac sealing and inspected the seal. Spent an hour prepping this prime rib. Checked the seal after 30,60 mins and was fine. Ran some errands, came back and there was a 1” breach in the seal. Don’t recommend poaching a prime rib. Companies that can’t do their basic product function, while wasting this kind of money and time deserve to go broke. Don’t buy

I have purchased 3 different models of this product. All have failed within 2 years. All off warranty. Agree with previous review...AVOID FOODSAVER BRAND LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Food Saver is a USELESS product!!
The machine "appears" to work...appears to vacuum and seal. The bags "appear" to be vacuumed and sealed. Having spelt that out...within just a few days EVERY single item (and YES I worked the machine and accessories correctly) was exposed to normal food product break down...the vacuum seals were no longer intact with the bags puffing up, filled with air!
What the heck!!
Are they buying their bags at cheap mass production rates to keep up with increased demand?! Nevertheless, the whole Food Saver concept is useless!!
The 'One Year Warranty' is another giveaway...as are the many reviews and poll on here.

Produits non fiables
Acheté une machine sous vide Foodsaver. A deux ans + 2 jours appareil HS. Et plus de garantie. Ils ne réparent pas leurs produits. Résultat : à jeter et aucun geste commercial pour une si petite durée de vie. A éviter absolument. Tres mauvaise qualité du produit.
Avoid Food Saver like the plague
I just purchased a Food Saver brand Vacuum Sealer along with. Food Saver brand accessory. When I tried it, I found that the accessory is not compatible with the machine.
I called customer service during what the company lists as it's business hours and received a message that the office was closed.
I then sent an email to customer service using the email address listed in the product instructions. The email bounced. Bad address.
Don't buy Food Saver brand. I thought it would be better than a no-name brand. It's not.
Customer service is awful.
The product is good but the customer service is terrible, I’ve reached out 3 times and responded to 2 of the company’s computer generated emails but still can’t get a simple replacement cutter (a $2 part by the way).

Foodsaver vacuum sealer FSFSSL3840-050-I
I bought a foodsaver vacuum sealer from Costco some time ago. I have not used it much because it is very difficult to get the machine to recognise when a bag has been inserted. I recently bought a sous vide cooker and had another try with the foodsaver, and despite persevering the problem remains. I e-mailed the company 7 months ago and received a reply today. I just wanted to know if there was a "trick" in getting it to work. They said they are unable to help. I notice that the majority of reviews for this company are one-star. Well-deserved, if a little generous.
Foodsaver containers do not keep their vacuum seal
Several years ago I believed that the foodsaver storage containers would seal and retain a vacuum as advertised and claimed. I discovered after spending a great deal of money that the claims made by foodsaver are completely false. I wrote to the company bringing this to their attention. Each time over a period of several months asking me for photos and proof of purchase which I sent to them they keep asking the same questions. To which I give them the same answer that I had already supplied the required information. I just want an explanation as to why the containers do not keep the vacuum seal for more than a few minutes.
My personal opinion is that these containers do not perform as advertised. I would strongly advise people Not to buy foodsaver storage containers as they do not keep a vacuum seal. Complete waste of money. Rubbish company to deal with

Terrible service
Tried to get parts for my sealer, emailed them and they requested info off unit, provided them with info requested. That's the last I heard from them. Totally useless custumer service.

On Nov. 29th I ordered the top on the line food saver it was on sale for $319.00 saved $50.00 dollars. It also had a deal if purchased by the end of the month I would get over 1200 points x’s 4. To my surprise I saw the pre op. On my account I don’t normally post reviews but this really upset me. The confrontation I received said item shipped then about a week later I keep checking for a tracking number never saw one. Allow kept checking my bank account for the charge on account never posted. Then finally noticed the the order was canceled no reason given. It was a computer generated email. If I was a business owner I couldn’t afford to loose a new customer. I try not to go buy reviews but will never buy a food saver or that brand of products again. There are other machines that have better reviews and quality.
Broken when received no customer service
We got vacuum sealer and it was broken when we received it. We called customer service and no phone service due to covid. The only way to contact was email. We have sent 5 emails in the past 3 weeks. No response. This company is terrible do not buy from them. Covid has been going on for 10 months now.... They surely can answer their phones!

Never Received My Purchase
Twice I was allowed to try and purchase these bottle stoppers. The first time they cancelled my order without letting me know. I received an email saying they were back in stock the second time, and again my order was cancelled. Why would you allow purchases of a product you don't have in stock. Both times FoodSavers cancelled my order, without even asking me or letting me know. Terrible customer service skills and no attempt at service recovery

I’ve been using my Foodsaver for years. Unfortunately there is one part that has the tendency to break. Recently it happened again, I went on their website and ordered a replacement. The problem is that the description on the website is misleading and what I got is not what I needed and I contacted them to see what could be done. They acknowledged receiving my communication and than disappeared.
After 4 weeks of radio silence they sent me an email asking for a review. I clearly wrote a very negative one and they sent me a new email saying that they would not publish it since it “didn’t meet their standards”. Great way to have positive reviews, just reject the negative ones !
The products are pretty good, even though the part in question has broken several times. Their customer service on the other hand is the worst.
FoodSaver Warranty Problem--No Response
Sent my FoodSaver back to company in June as it was under warranty. They acknowledged receiving it and said it would be 2-3 weeks to replace. Still have not received it and it is now September.
I have tried to reach them via phone and email with no response. I reported them to Better Business Bureau in hopes of getting a resolution to this problem. Something seems to be wrong with this company.
Customer Service Dept. Absolute Joke.
I have been dealing with customer service now for 4 months. Talked with many employees and supposed supervisors trying to get a defective fresh saver replaced. They sent me a return label, sent them my defective one and been promised numerous times the product is on its way. I've been given supposed order numbers and promised expedited shipping. Now the won't even answer my e-mails. I gave them 1 star only because you can't pick zero. Its sad to be constantly lied to.

Let me tell you a short story:
I bought one of their devices to seal food, worked great, really liked it, they always has specials on their bags, no complaints...then within a year or so it broke, contacted the company. No response, tried again, finally gave up and bought a new version on sale... Working fine now
Two months later I get an email so sorry we were backed up how can we help. I respond send invoices etc, they offer to replace for free, told them I had one...ok let us investigate...silence send another couple emails, nothing...
Then I get an email since you haven't responded we are closing your case. I respond , they repond so sorry what can we do...and the circle begins...anyway I won't bore you but this has now gone one for months, literally 6 months
Now the latest is someone is calling me, they call once from a very odd 1111 USA number, I don't answer they email I respond set up a time to talk, boom silence once again
...so I thought they don't really care about there customers and in the 21st century we all have a voice, so I'm venting...I made it so easy for them just give me a credit for goods for the cost of the old machine,they even need to reach in their pocket...no answer.
This is not a mom and pop operation this company is part of a big corporation...Jarden/ Rubbermade.. and at this point its not even about the money

My favorite appliance!
Ordered my foodsaver machine from their website along with plenty of bags. Now let me tell you, I just upgraded from a no name brand to straight FS brand. I have always used the FS bags when using my no name, but let me tell you..I love my FS. Im able to do big girl stuff now with my FS. It is the second best appliance in my kitchen. End of story.
