Porter was easily the worst airline
Porter was easily the worst airline. Flew from Toronto to edmonton. I did not know that the only ID I had was expired, and i was allowed on the flight anyways. As I’m about to check in for my return flight (through westjet) from edmonton, I was told I couldn’t be allowed on the plane because of my ID. I had to go to the porter desk, and was told I couldn’t be allowed on any flights due to my ID. Even though I was allowed on the original flight by porter. Because of porters careless employees I had to purchase a last minute ticket. I asked to be refunded the ticket due to employee error. But I was met with rude costumer service and no help or refund. Never fly porter, they do not care about you, only your money

I'd like to give as many stars as possible to Praveena Agent 10239 & Alex Agent 10576 who both made my request to change flight schedules possible, on behalf of my family members. Otherwise they would have been stuck to a grueling 8 hours bus ride from Niagara Falls to Ottawa. These Agents were very patient, helpful & resourceful. Very grateful Porter Airlines hires the best! Because of how my family members who just came back were raving on their flying experience with Porter Airlines excellent service, It was a far cry from their competitors who were measuring every inch of their bag packs I'm so excited & looking forward to my own 1st flight that I'll book with Porter Airlines!! Can't wait

extremely dissatisfied with customer service
I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I received during a recent attempt to reschedule my flight due to a medical emergency. As a frequent traveler with Porter Airlines for the past two years, I have always appreciated the quality of the flights. However, the service I received from the customer service agent, Brianna, was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
After waiting for over an hour to speak with an agent, Brianna answered my call. I explained my situation and expressed my willingness to pay any additional fees or upgrades necessary to reschedule my flight. Unfortunately, Brianna was not only unhelpful but also dismissive. She bluntly said "NO" without any explanation or attempt to understand my situation and then hung up on me.
This lack of empathy and professionalism is unacceptable, especially given my loyalty to Porter Airlines and the fact that I travel with you most weeks. I expect a higher level of compassion and accommodation, particularly in emergency situations. This experience has significantly tarnished my perception of your customer service.

Booked through Air Transat. They could see our booking. But they could not issue us a boarding pass. Don't know whose fault, but we got royaly screwed.

It goes without saying
It goes without saying, Porter is such an awesome airline which delivers an exceptional experience to their guests. I recently booked a round-trip flight with Porter, and I was thoroughly impressed with the entire journey. From boarding to till board off, every aspect was handled with care and efficiency. There was enough leg space, no middle seat, complementary snacks and drinks that are cheery on the cake.
On top of that, the friendly and down-to-earth staff made the experience even more enjoyable. Unlike some airlines that strictly enforce carry-on bag measurements, Porter offers a more relaxed approach, which is greatly appreciated. Plus, with porter, you don’t need to worry about such things. Not only this, but they also provide you free internet throughout the flight which helps to a greater extent to kill your time and can watch movies.
All in all, I love this airline and am highly satisfied for all these reasons and will certainly choose them again for future travels. I recommend it to my friends as well who are seeking excellent service and value for their domestic flights. So, five stars!!!!

OK guys I have flown Air Canada and west jet tens of time during the year.. Porter is a much better airline, Period .. maybe I got lucky I don't know but they get a five star from me.... one star for Air Canada and one star for WestJet... clean new plans additional legroom if you want free carry-on. Decent snacks not gross pretzels. Free wine. On time. No lies like Air Canada and WestJet teIl.. I will fly with them again

I was travelling from Las Vegas to Toronto via Porter airlines. I booked the flight by Booking.com. When I booked the tickets, it included carry on baggage but when I checked in, they asked me to pay for the bags. I showed my the tickets, itinerary but still they asked me to pay for the bags. Though providing every proof that showed that baggage was included in the ticket, they still asked me to pay and only then I would get my boarding pass. As I had to travel, there was no option for me but to pay. The Porter airline officer at Las Vegas airport was Laura and the supervisor was named Veronica. Despite giving them all the proof, they were not at all helpful. I am a student so it is very difficult for me to pay the amount twice and I told the officers this but still they were not at all helpful. Don’t book flight with porter airlines, as they are misleading and scamming people. Also, if anyone could raise complain against the officer named “LAURA” and supervisor named “VERONICA”. Both the officers seemed racist as I am an Indian and therefore, they were rude and not at all helpful.

My experience is finding a cheaper DOMESTIC flight in Canada. They are in no way competitive like they advertise. I check them often before I buy a ticket from another airline just to see if I can get a better deal, so I know what I am doing. I have no clue as to why they say they are cheaper when they are NOT and when you factor in the fact that you can't even carry an extra bag besides your purse without charging for it.
If they are much cheaper then they can tout it, otherwise this is false advertising and should be against the law for gouging customers.

Very rude ground staff and not cooperative. They did not let us board plane due to expiry date on license and instead of accommodating us on next flight. they put us on last flight with more than 400 dollars extra which ruined our trip completely.
Gates Occupied on both ends! Butt hurts from sitting.
My first time using Porter Airline. For a Boston to Toronto trip. First, staff are nice (desk and flight attendants). Second, I safely landed in both ends. I think that’s it.
Outbound flight: Delayed by at least 1 hour. No obvious weather issues. After landing, more wait because gate is occupied. Carry on luggage that fit inside the counter test box fail to fit overhead. Having to put under feet. Sticking out. Most uncomfortable seat (no butt support), more exhausted from the 1.5 hour trip than 24 hour long flights.
Inbound: took off on time. Gave up carry on luggage at plane size. Flight half full, at least moved to an empty double seat. Flight lands on time …BUTTTTT, once again, gate occupied with flight!!!! This time, it’s way worse … 45 minute on tarmac, can’t approach gate. Butt hurts. (I’m not a fragile traveler by any means. I flew 60,000 miles this year already.)
I’m afraid this is my last time flying Porter. Will go to Air Canada next … even though it’s less convenient into Toronto.

I booked Porter airline (via AirTransat). It was the absolute worst experience. I went to counter in Porter Airline and they sent me to checkin in AirTransat. I went to Airtransat, waited 20 mins and they sent me back to Porter, telling me Porter need to check me in. After waiting in line again in Porter for almost 1 hour back and forth on 2 counters, I missed my flight. It was a total waste of time and then they wouldn't book me on next flight. I had to call and wait 1 hour in customer service. Employees are clueless and worst experience in Toronto/YYZ and service is absolute worst. Pay the extra $50-$100 and book a different flight. The cheap isn't worth it. Avoid!

porter has gone downhill
I have been flying porter for over ten years and since Covid the airline has really gone downhill. The seats have become narrow and as hard as concrete. The seats themselves do not properly support an adult body as the seat is so small it seems more like a youth seat. Nor do the seats recline. Otherwise the flight crew are friendly, and offer beer, wine, and non alcoholic beverages with dried snacks. The Q400 turboprop planes are comfortable and fairly quiet, but its the seats that are miserable. This was not the case a few years back when the seats were comfortable and the airline advertised that fact. Now the whole plane is basically configured as steerage class, I advise to bring your own seat cushion.
Becareful when booking seats. Their basic fare has replaced their standard fare making it more expensive to fly. Neither are these lower fares refundable anymore; if you want a refund after 24 hours post booking you are out of luck. It used to be that you could cancel a flight and use the fare for towards a future flight, not anymore. Premium fares such as freedom are exceedingly expensive, but allow you to make changes to your flights.
I still continue to fly porter as it flies in and out of Toronto Billy Bishop airport, but if it were not for that reason I would look at other competitive airlines, as porter no longer stands out from the other airlines in terms of service and passenger comfort.
Worst airline..NOT RECOMMENDED
Worst airline... Will never travel with this Crap airlines.. the airline ground staff is the worst I have ever seen in my 20 years of travel history. Today the coloured lady in the counter staff purposefully delayed my baggage checking and it ended up in flight miss... If you are serious about your money and time, DO NOT TRAVEL ON PORTER AIRLINES.

This is horrible website. You cannot get an answer. I'm not sure you must wait hours on end. It's all I want to know. Is if my payment went through 2.6 hours to wait or 3 hours. On the chat line. Keeps timing out not very friendly to navigate. If you time out trying to figure booking out the price literally increased by100 dollars.
