Why You Should Skip Google Flow AI: Total Lack of Prompt & Character Consistency

If you are looking for an AI tool that actually respects your creative vision, avoid Google Flow. Despite the marketing, it completely struggles with two of the most critical aspects of AI video and storyboarding:
• Fails to follow basic prompts: It frequently ignores specific instructions, style cues, and actions provided in the text. You rarely get what you actually asked for.
• Zero character consistency: Even when you upload or provide a dedicated character reference point, the tool fails to maintain their appearance. Characters shift drastically between frames, completely breaking the narrative continuity.
Save your time and look into more mature alternatives until Google fixes these core foundational issues.

The video editor is making too often mistakes. Inventing thing not in the prompt (created by gemini from google to have an optimized prompt). I often loose credits trying to make basic video. As an exemple you ask to have a woman walking in the direction of the camera, and a certain point, you don't knwo whyn the IA decides that the girl turn and go back.. And when you ask to modify it denies....

Google flow is terrible and very frustrating. It doesn't do what it's been prompted. Terrible waste of money, never again. Almost spend my month credits for a simple 8 sec video clip and still it's not what is expected. Stopped subscription.

YES THE SYSTEM IS PROGRAMMED BY LAWYERS WHO CENSOR WHAT THEY THINK IS NOT GOOD MEDIA. YOU SPEND HOURS TRYING TO GET A SIMPLE TASK OR VIDEO DONE AND THE SYSTEM DOES NOT ALLOW ITSELF TO THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BIASES OF THE PROGRAMMERS. GOOGLE IS NOT A VEHICLE OF FREE SPEECH BUT AN INSTRUMENT FOR A CORPORATE RACIST SYSTEM TO CENSOR SPEECH THEY DON'T LIKE. WHEN YOU CHANGE TO NAME OF LAKE ONTARIO, WE KNOW WHAT GOOGLE STANDS FOR. GOOGLE FLOW SUCKS! AND SO DO THE COPORATE LOSERS WHO BEND OVER FOR TYRRANTS.

Very pathetic and useless. I used their free version to test my reels but many times I have to edit by own or have to recreate from scratch. Not recommended. I am even searching for another options.
