Impossible to escalate and get a solution
I received an email from Flatio stating that they were changing their terms and conditions, but that owners didn't have to do anything.
I haven't received any contact from any guests in a month, and I wanted to check my listings.
They don't appear.
I also can't access my account.
I contacted Customer Service, and Mariana told me I had to deactivate the new terms and conditions.
I'm sending her a screenshot of the email I received, and yet my properties are still not listed and my account is still missing.
We're in PEAK SEASON, and I'm losing important business opportunities.
I've contacted them in every possible way, and almost no one responds.
There's no solution.
There's no Complaints department to escalate the problem.
The only ones who respond are those who deactivated my account.
Those who ignore the email sent by Flatio stating that owners didn't have to do anything regarding the new change.
Desperate.
Disappointing.
Until now, I've always given them top marks as a good company.
My opinion of Flatio has completely changed.
I feel unprotected.
Unreliable guest evaluation, lot of scammers, no intention from platform to solve these problems
Flatio doesn't show the stays of guests that hasn't been reviewed. However the number of unreviewed stays hold a very strong message and must be counted in the rate of guest valuation. Flatio in Hungary is the playground of scammers, they opt for not paying, choosing a close move-in date, when transfer can't reach the international bankaccount, so they can fabric fake transfer verifications. Flatio doesn't seem to try to solve this matter, they put the responsibility on hosts. Pretty annoying. Hope to have solutions soon as i have been reporting this for a year now.

The platform was easy to use and made booking simple. I really appreciated the support team who helped with various queries — they were responsive and helpful throughout. That said, the process around deposits could be clearer as I was short changed by a considerable amount due to exchange rates/fees , and I felt the service fee was a bit high considering some issues I had with the property.
Expensive, but alternatives aren't better
I used in only in Budapest and it is very expensive. I could find something on facebook or from word-of-moutn that is 25-30% cheaper. Unfortunately, the online alternatives for renting flats are similarly expensive.
We have made 4 successful multi month…
We have made 4 successful multi month rentals from Flatio. The first one the landlord switched apartments on us without explanation. The second and third rental was the same apartment and there were no issues. The latest rental the landlord canceled due to water damage then relisted 6 of our 7 week reservations a few days later leaving us to scramble for an apartment with a king size bed. Flatio was of no help and refused to refund the credit card service charges or apply the original payment to the replacement reservation resulting in about 40 euros in banking fees cost to us without compensation.
There are numerous sloppy or scam listings on the Flatio site. When I bring the suspect listing to their attention they say they will take care of it but they seldom delist the landlord and the listing stays as is. The apartment sort function is nearly useless.You can't see 1 bedroom apartments and they constantly include studios or spare rooms in the offerings. Some landlords have not communicated on Flatio for many months. Some have multiple recent positive reviews but have not rented in many months.The renter is not the customer the landlord is. Flatio operations has little/no experience in retail as is sometimes typical of young tech startups. Great concept, poor management and poor understanding of transactional needs or costs to the renter. I will no longer rent on Flatio.

Had a longstanding saga where my landlord was shady and tried to scam me out of my deposit. But the Flatio support team, consisting of Monika and Marianna were up to the task and were very helpful in resolving the issue.
