Best water kefir grains I’ve had
I’m absolutely thrilled with my water kefir grains from fizzy buoys.
Fast delivery - I immediately opened them and got started and have been making water kefir since. As the weather has been so hot it’s not taking long to ferment and I’ve been experimenting with second fermentation, different flavours etc. and getting some fantastic fizzy drinks which are super tasty and refreshing.
These grains weren’t my first but I hadn’t had much luck before. These are superb quality and were very chunky and healthy. The instructions were extremely helpful and I used a dried fig and a bit of fresh lemon which really seemed like a great boost. My grains have grown already and I weigh them between batches just for my own enjoyment!
Can’t recommend fizzy buoys enough! I’m so happy!

Easy and tasty
Quick delivery and easy to follow instructions to activate the dried grains and then go through the fermentation. Nice touch suggesting the lemon as well.

Excellent kefir grains
The kefir grains arrived quickly, the instructions are very clear and the grains reactivated well. After one cycle I have 70g of grains and my first batch of fizzy kefir. Excellent product !

I bought some dehydrated water kefir grains from Fiszy Buoys. If im honest i hadn’t heard of the company before serching google for the grains, but since having a look through their website they seem to be a great company. The grains i bought were delivered promptly and well packaged, with detailed instructions on how to produce my water kefir at home easily. Very happy and if i do accidentally let these grains die, i will be buying from fizzy buoys again for sure.

I bought through their Etsy store and these water kefir grains are AMAZING, a few months in I'm making 2 750ml bottles every 48 hours. After the second ferment they are explosive!!!
After experimenting with types of sugar and ratios, here's what works for these grains
100g of grains plus 100g sugar (66g white sugar, and 34g unrefined demerera cane sugar) in 1500 ml of spring water with 2 dried figs.
With that mix my grains are more than doubling every 48 hours.
Tried lots of flavours for the 2nd ferment but IKEA's blueberry cordial tops my list so far.

We take great pride in the quality of our live water kefir cultures and in providing clear, easy-to-follow instructions. In most cases where fermentation seems slow or less fizzy, it’s usually due to cooler room temperatures (which can slow the culture down, especially during the winter months) or small differences in the fermentation process.
We’re always happy to help troubleshoot and offer advice, and we wish you had reached out to us first so we could help get things working as they should.
As you can see from our many reviews across Etsy and Trustpilot, our water kefir grains do produce a lively, fizzy ferment when the conditions are right. If you ever decide to try again, we’d be more than happy to assist.
