Very enjoyable! We would thoroughly recommend a visit to the store. Zen, the manager, is a very personable, knowledgeable chap, for whom nothing was too much trouble. He went to great lengths to advise on a treadmill that most suited our needs. I had great fun have a trial run on one of his superb machines. No pressure was put on us to purchase anything and we went away to consider the pros and cons of several machines. We duly returned and placed our order. Zen showed great patience answering our many questions. We can't wait to receive our new treadmill and would recommend Zen and Fitshop to anyone.

My issue was handled with courtesy and care, a rapid response to any communications and a replacement was sent out immediately with great tracking and perfect delivery time

TL;DR: Waited 5 weeks for replacement parts. After 3 weeks I gave them 2 more weeks to send the parts or I would be requesting a refund. Now over 5 weeks in they’re still trying to mess me about instead of sorting the return.

I bought
- Taurus MS30 Pro
- Taurus B950 weight bench
- 125kg of BodyMax weight plates

Delivery was quick, but the delivery driver complained the whole time about how he had the wrong equipment for the job. He asked me to prop up the 430kg package as it dangled off the end of his lorry.

Assembly was painful. If you buy the MS30 Pro, note that it seems to be a rebadged/slightly altered forceUSA G9. It’s helpful to reference both manuals as neither is particularly good.

During assembly I noticed 2 pieces that didn’t fit right. I asked them for replacement parts. It took them 6 days to pass it on to their “diagnostics team”. After 2 weeks from my initial request I asked them for an update and they said the parts are out of stock and gave no indication as to when they’d be in stock. 1 week later I informed them it had been 3 weeks total, and that I would like the parts within 2 weeks or I would be requesting a refund, giving them 5 weeks total to fix it. They told me they were shipping the parts out and emailing me tracking “tomorrow”. Great! Except that never happened. Still, I gave them the full 5 weeks. After 5 weeks, on Friday the 7th of August I informed them I no longer would accept a repair and that I wanted to return for a refund. I received an email yesterday, Monday the 10th of August informing me that “it is just taking some time to get the parts” and asking me to “Please bare with us” — completely ignoring my very plainly stated request, which came with 2 weeks warning! I have emailed them again.

Consumer rights act 23(2)(a) gives the consumer the right to a repair or replacement “within a reasonable amount of time”

5 weeks is more than reasonable.

Consumer rights act 24(5)(c) gives the consumer the final right to reject if “the consumer has required the trader to repair or replace the goods, but the trader is in breach of the requirement of section 23(2)(a)”

Fitshop is currently obviously in breach of the consumer rights act of 2015 and have so far been unresponsive to my request.

17/08 update: Removed complaint about delivery being left on the pavement — apparently this is expected.

Dorian was super helpful and is the reason I made a significant purchase. I was on the fence on purchasing some Nike kettlebells and left them in my basket overnight. The next day I recieved an email from Dorian asking if there was anything he could help me with as he noticed I had left the kettlebells in my basket. Proactive customer service worked and I made the purchase! Will come back to fitshop as I continue to invest in my home gym.

Great service from zen and advice

I ordered a treadmill in January which had exceeded my expectations, a great but if kit.

Unfortunately over a week ago it suddenly stopped working. I called Fitshop asking for advice and was told to email pictures and a short explanation on what had gone wrong which i did. I was also asked to send a video which i could not do as the file was too big and explained this in my email. I received no response to my email, so chased a second time. Nothing. I then called and left two messages - still no response.

Third time calling, managed to speak to someone who sent me a we transfer link - send videos straight away. No acknowledgement email saying they had received my videos. Chased via the phone and was told rudely you will have to wait 72 hours! exactly what i was told last week and that the diagnostics team will need to look at the video. Again something i was told over a week ago.

I run a business and would not dream of treating my customers like an inconvenience which is exactly how i have been made to feel. Overall very disappointed.

Placed an order 2 weeks ago. After a week I emailed to chase the delivery but was given a very scripted response, ‘Please allow 3-5 days for delivery’.
Several communications since, again all scripted, unpersonal and disinterested. Now at two weeks, DX still have no record of the tracking number provided.
Avoid.

Phil was super helpful, they had exactly what I was looking for!

I had been looking at getting a home gym setup for quite a while and had done a lot of research online, but I could never quite get an answer I was happy with or find a setup that I was confident would work for what I wanted.

I came across Fitshop Manchester and decided I really needed to go and see some of the equipment in person. I contacted Ben, who was brilliant from the start and arranged for me to come into the store and go through the different options with him.

I was really impressed with the store. They had several of the all-in-one gym setups I had been looking at online actually built and on display, so I could properly look around them, try them out and compare them. Ben talked me through each of the different options and we eventually settled on the Taurus MS35, which I was really impressed with.

I'd even turned up with a ChatGPT diagram of the garden room I was having built, along with all the dimensions 😂, so Ben knew exactly what space we had to work with and could help me plan the setup properly.

I was originally debating between adding a lateral raise machine or a 4-in-1 leg machine. I initially went away thinking I'd have the lateral raise machine, but after thinking about it I contacted Ben and said that I could replicate that exercise using the cables on the MS35, whereas the leg machine would give me something I couldn't really replicate as well. Ben was more than happy to change things around for me.

I eventually went for pretty much the full setup – Taurus MS35, Taurus 4-in-1 leg machine, dumbbells and rack, rubber flooring, Olympic bar and weight plates.

Ben was incredibly patient throughout the whole process. I was waiting for the builders to start and finish the garden room, sorting funds and, to be fair, changing my mind a few times about exactly what I wanted! There was never any pressure from him. He even offered for me to order everything and have Fitshop store it for me until the room was ready, then arrange delivery when I gave him the go-ahead.

Now that everything is installed, I honestly couldn't be happier with the setup. It works brilliantly for me and I can effectively train every muscle group from the comfort of my own home.

Ben was exceptional from start to finish – really friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and, most importantly with me, very patient! 😂 He also looked after me on the price where he could with some of the attachments and even threw in a few freebies and a yoga mat, which was massively appreciated.

If you're looking at building a home gym or you're unsure what equipment would work best for the space you have, I would highly recommend going into Fitshop Manchester and asking for Ben. Being able to actually see and try the equipment while having someone knowledgeable talk you through everything made a massive difference compared with trying to work it all out online.
