Selvom vi ikke verificerer specifikke påstande, fordi anmeldernes meninger er deres egne, kan vi godt betegne anmeldelser som "Verificerede", når vi kan bekræfte, at der har fundet en forretningsinteraktion sted. Læs mere

Every time a company looses your personal information, or it gets stolen? They give you a year subscription to this place free. Then they email you ALL THE TIME with information like how they find your email and password that you havent used for 20 years on the "dark web", almost every SINGLE DAY. Cant stop the emailing, cant cancel service without additional phone calls (cause god forbid after all the work you went through on the website, that it ACTUALLY allow you to cancel service from there), and all in all it is a service to just passify you after a company has lost your data, until you forget and the free trial runs out. Nothing more.
I am so sick and tired of receiving these calls and voicemails. I've asked to be taken off this scam call list and each time I'm lied to and every day more calls.
Read a few 'scam detection site reviews and stopped before SSN was requested. This one was the LOAN DEPOT breach, will call 'em directly tomorrow and if I get a great answer and confirm the legal LLC (I assume) that sends the email with 'code', MAYBE. If I get better info, I'll try to update this sad mf*ck'r
Why no reviews about financial shield. I came here after At&T data breach but I am wary of entering my social security number as I don’t know what company is this. I’ve signed up with Experian, TransUnion and Equifac earlier but this is a player in the market. What’s the guarantee that new breach or abuse won’t happen thru this monitoring service provider?
Questionable Company
I had the same experience as Gary where I called several times and was put on hold and then disconnected. They called me twice today in the early morning asking me confirm my email address. I tried to go online to do that but could not find where to do so. There was a banner when I signed in asking the same thing. Unfortunately they already have my information, so I am hoping for the best. Live and Learn! This came in reference to the AT&T breach which I was part of.
I am very leery about Financial Shield. They do not answer their calls and when you do get through, it's a recording telling you to wait for a representative--but then the call drops and you reach no one. This happened after several attempts. After having read the reviews online, I have serious doubts regarding the legitimacy of this company as well as their methods. It's not usually the case where one is asked to enter their social security number. BEWARE!!!
It seems like every involved in the MGM data breach is looking for info on this company now. The problem is there’s next to nothing about Financial Shield online and no reviews. The settlement should’ve offered a better monitoring option. Why would we submit even more personal info and our SS to a company we know nothing about after already having our data lost by a huge company like MGM?
Terrible imo
After doing the same research as those here who felt uneasy because their social security information was requested, I took it a step further and contacted the administration of the MGM Data Breach Settlement - Settlement Administrator
at 1-888-899-8358 (Toll-Free). It specifically states on their voice recorded information that this company, Financial Shield is a one year perk of the Data Breach. I contacted Financial Shield and the first person I made contact with was someone on a car phone I believe in another country. She connected me to a customer service person who was very knowledgable and professional. I asked about the first person who sounded like she was in her car and was told that this company does hire persons from other countries etc. After doing a little more research on the founder of the company, it seems they specifically work for companies that have data breaches and not so much individuals, so you wouldn't probably find them online to join unless you were directed there from a data breach and monitoring was part of the breach package. I hope that helps and I would suggest you all do your own research to feel comfortable. I am not going to cancel the company I just joined as I feel they are legitimate.
Similar to MichelleR, I received an email from MGM litigation, for receiving financial monitoring. I’ve also been part of other data breaches and offered similar monitoring. Never have I been asked for my Social Security number.
I also tried to do my due diligence and can find very little about Financial Shield and what I have does not paint a very good picture about their handling of data.
I’m saddened that this is the only company that MGM could find when there are so many reputable companies out there. I will not be taking advantage of this offer and provide my very personal data to an unknown company representing another that lost my data.
The MGM International Resorts Data Breach Litigation wants customers effected by the data breach to sign up with Financial Shield/Pango. Financial Shield/Pango also wants customers' social security number for the credit monitoring.
I came to Trustpilot to locate information on the company, since entering both names for a web search brings up nothing. Just like it does for TrustPilot. No reviews. That's a major red flag.
Sadly, data breaches have happened to me before and those companies have never asked for my social security number.
I did send a reply email to MGM and a email to Financial Shield/Pango about not having customers add their social security number. Since it's in Financial Shield/Pango terms of service and also in the MGM email, I doubt they will change their policy. I won't change my policy and give out my social security number.
I don't understand why MGM would chose a cyber security company without any reviews and have no information to check the company's reputation.
