Bought a pair of basketball trainers…
Bought a pair of basketball trainers that couldn’t survive a single basketball game, only had trainers for 2 days. Contacted the support team with a clear picture showing damaged trainers, was informed that a full refund will be made upon receipt. Few days later after returning these, when I chased up my refund, was told that they have now inspected and do not think its a manufacturing defect and cannot refund. I was then told that if I would like these to be returned, I would have to pay another £4 on top of £40 I have already paid for such an inferior product. Pretty disappointed with the customer service!

Regretfully the damage to the boots (which have a large chunk of the sole worn out after 1 wear) has been caused by the wearer. The gentleman in our inspection department has been dealing with shoes for some 40 years + and has seen everything over that period. You can clearly see this as whatever has come into contact with the sole unit has caused serious friction / abrasive trauma, which has worn the rubber sole unit away, which is not due to normal wear and tear. If the chunk of sole which is missing was returned with the boots then there may have been a different outcome but clearly the abrasive nature of the contact between the wearer and whatever he has caught them on has actually worn the rubber away leaving friction marks. Under such circumstances we cannot support a refund but will be happy to return to you as stated on the email correspondence that we have already had with you.

I ordered from express trainers as they had the shoe I wanted in the correct size, all seemed well good price 2-3 day guaranteed delivery just before I went away on holiday, the trainers were out for delivery 2 days before we flew. I check Royal Mail tracking item expected at a specific time etc 7:30pm no shoes, the next day no shoes and finally 2 days later in the afternoon they arrived when we were on holiday just brilliant! Probably will not use them again as just not reliable on deliveries.

I am sorry your order did not go as expected but we are not the carriers. We received, picked and packed your order within 24 hours of receiving it but after that we are in the hands of the carriers, whether that be Royal Mail, DPD, Evri or whoever else may be delivering. My suggestion would always be that if you desperately want something before going on holiday or for a specific time then opt for GUARANTEED next day delivery. Sorry you feel we let you down but there are some things we can have an impact on and some we cant and deliveries are one of them which we cant.
