Jeff and crew both in the States and Nepal were fantastic. I went in April of 2024 to Everest base Camp. I am 70 and a very experienced hiker. I like to be prepared. Jeff and his staff answered my many questions promptly both by email and phone calls. t
The staff in Nepal was exceptional. My guide Peru and Asst. guide Sedrue (sp) were absolutely the best. They waited on us in the tea houses and every time I went to put my pack on one would run over and help. I was very prepared for the hike and had no issues with altitude or exertion. Everything was well planned and carried out. One note though. The weights can be confusing on what porters carry and what you can take on flight to Lukla. It all worked out but be sure to know weights and if they are given in metric or standard. The porters were also incredible. These people are truly superheros ( do yourself a favor and buy them Snickers ever once an awhile :). Enjoy the entire trek. It's the journey not the destination. When my friend and I decided to try and book the "O" Trek in Torres del Paine, Chile we knew that three months before leaving was a bit late. This was confirmed as we spoke to some sources from the net. When we found Explorer's Passage, Jeff was very up front on the difficulty. He started working on our request and reported back promptly on issues and choices. We were prepared to face less than what we wanted. Ultimately, after what I think was a lot of effort on his and his teams part, they returned with what we hoped for. We were very happy with the arrangements made on our behalf - everyone of the connections went without a hitch - the drivers who picked us up were on time or early enough so the hotel let up know they had arrived. Each of the people we interfaced with on the journey were helpful and always met our expectations. Of Jeff's people, Sarah Horton took very good care of us, patiently answered email inquiries (getting back with some of our detailed questions about showers, food and opening/closing times).
I have a very good friend that wants to do the trip and will send him Jeff's contact information. I know it will work out well for him!

We used Explorer's Passage to help coordinate our trip to Chile - specifically the activities in and around the W-Trek in Torres Del Paine. Every detail was handled expertly, we were informed and advised perfectly, all the tickets were sent before departure and Explorer's Passage really made the trip a very easy, simple adventure by handling all the sticky logistics.

Jeff and Carly did a great job organizing our W Trek trip in Patagonia! We were a group of 10 traveling together and making all the transportation arrangements, lodging and meal reservations, etc., on our own would have been very tricky. I feel like their services were an incredible value and well worth it!

The whole team at TEP is so helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing experience on our Patagonia trip. They were extremely knowledgeable on the area including hotels, restaurants, hikes and activities. Our trip process was completely seamless including multi-day trekking with permits and transfers around very remote regions. I cannot recommend them enough!

This trip was perfectly planned and executed with helpful advice and documents from Explorer's Passage including packing lists, tickets/transfers and daily descriptions. The travel; air, bus, pickups from bus stations and airports was perfect. The logistics of getting to Torres Del Paine Nation Park and hiking the W Trek can be daunting but Explorer's Passage made that part easy. The routes planned and executed gave this father/son duo a trip of a lifetime. Explorer's Passage had our backs so we really never worried and just enjoyed the hiking, sights, and the great outdoors. Having visited 55 countries I have a lot to compare to and this was the best trip of my life.

Jeff and his team were fantastic...I shared with them that I was looking for an AR experience and I want to indulge but also get close to nature and the outdoors and hike. He put together a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience to Buenos Aires and then Patagonia. I knew nothing about South America...he prepared me and everything about my trip was great. It went smoothly and I felt prepared, safe and it was amazing. Everything was fantastic.

This company has been nothing but AWESOME!! Jeff and Carly really paid attention to what I was wanting out of our trip and catered it to us. Their attention to detail and follow through was on point. They were there to answer all questions and made sure we were having a great time. I highly recommend and we will be using them in the future as well. Thank you both :)

Our family just returned from a 6-day trip to Peru curated by The Explorer’s Passage. We had a magical time in beautiful Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu, Peru, thanks to Jeff and Carly, who worked with us every step of the way. So much thought and care was put into the selection of our hotels, suggestions about where to eat and what to do, getting us prepared for our hike on the Inca trail, and of course putting us in the care of our guide extraordinaire, Neptali. We made some amazing memories on this trip, and cannot wait to use the services of The Explorer’s Passage as we plan our next adventure! After researching the locations and activities most important for our Costa Rica trip, we found Explorer’s Passage. Never having traveled with guides or having someone doing the planning we found ourselves in paradise! Jeff was knowledgeable of the areas and offered additional suggestions for activities. He was prompt with communication and took care of every little detail including our vegetarian diet. Our guides in Costa Rica were outstanding, informative and so willing to share information. While on our trip the communication continued to be sure we were happy and there were no glitches. Everything ran like clockwork from start to finish. We thought this would be a once in a lifetime trip but find ourselves planning our next adventure with EP. An outstanding company in every way. “Pura Vida” is truly a way of life in Costa Rica.

Our family of six worked with Jeff and Sarah at The Explorers Passage to plan our visit to Machu Picchu, specifically the Inca Trail Express. TEP is an invaluable partner in handling all logistics including permits, transportation, entry passes, accommodations, itinerary and most importantly a local guide. Our guide, Neptali, was the absolute BEST and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He made all the difference. Jeff and Sarah provided all the pre-trip support and guidance to ensure our trip was a success, and on-the-ground support if needed. They went above and beyond to make recommendations for our time in Cusco too. Our trip was flawless thanks to their organization. Our experience with TEP exceeded all expectations. We highly recommend using them for your next adventure!

My wife and I just got back from Patagonia after completing the W Trek that Explorers Passage had arranged for us. From our first contact with Jeff Bonaldi to our last transfer, our experience was stellar. Jeff guided us through the rather complicated logistics and was very responsive to concerns before and during the adventure. His focus was always on how to make the adventure memorable not on the bottom line for his company. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to do so because our experience was beyond 5 stars. While we are still able, we will plan another adventure trip and we will use Explores Passage without a doubt!

I started off planning a W trek in Patagonia with Jeff and had such a great experience working with him that I planned our entire 5 week trip through Explorers Passage. Jeff is highly knowledgeable with personal experience of many of the places we visited and helped create a truly memorable trip in Argentina, Chile and Panama that was executed flawlessly by EP. Some of the highlights were a traditional delicious Argentinian asada at La Bamba estancia, getting soaked to the skin at Iguazzu falls, drinking whiskey with glacial ice on the Perito Moreno glacier, experiencing the extreme wind and dramatic wild beauty of Patagonia from Los Glaciares in Argentina and Torres del Paine in Chile, wine tasting and beautiful lunches in the Casablanca and Colchagua valleys of Chile, street art in Valparaiso, floating in a salt lagoon in the Atacama desert, running down an Atacaman sand dune in the glow of the setting sun, rising before dawn to see the Tatio geysers in the cold temperature of early morning and seeing a huge freighter slowly rise in the locks of the Panama canal. We felt like VIPs being met by drivers and guides at every stop and when questions arose Jeff and/or his local contacts in Argentina and Chile were easy to contact and quick to respond. I hope to plan more trips with Explorers Passage!

The Explorer’s Passage curated a 2 week trip to Patagonia for us that was just right. Carly and Jeff provided us with a detailed and extensive plan that encompassed everything that we didn't know we needed for our hike and more. I would definitely be back to utilize their services in the future. They provided periodic check-in to make sure we were taken care of. We had the trip of a lifetime! Thanks TEP!

My buddy and I recently embarked on a Patagonian adventure with Explorer's Passage, and I cannot express how incredible the experience was from start to finish.

From the moment we landed in Santiago to the awe-inspiring landscapes of Puerto Natales, Puenta Arenas, and the W Trek, every step of the journey was expertly crafted. The seamless transitions between destinations, the knowledgeable guides, and the attention to detail made this trip truly remarkable.

One of the highlights was the W Trek, where we were treated to ever-changing weather, each turn revealing a new and breathtaking panorama. The guides were not only experts in navigating the terrain but also enthusiastic storytellers, sharing insights into the rich culture and history of the region.

The trip through El Calafate was equally mesmerizing, with the stunning Perito Moreno Glacier leaving me in absolute awe. The contrast of landscapes, from the rugged beauty of the W Trek to the icy expanse of the glacier, showcased the diversity of Patagonia.

Explorer's Passage went above and beyond in creating an adventure that not only allowed us to connect with nature but also provided immersive cultural experiences. The accommodations were comfortable, the logistics were flawless, and the flexibility to adapt to changing weather conditions was appreciated.

I want to extend my gratitude to the entire Explorer's Passage team for curating such a memorable journey. We'll be back for another adventure to Kilimanjaro or Mont Blanc!

We cannot praise The Explorer's Passage enuf! We had a trip/experience of a lifetime on their Machu Picchu and Inca Trail adventure. The planning process was a breeze, the pre-hike necessary conditioning was well explained, arriving in Cusco and finding our guide and driver was easy, the Cusco City tours were fabulous and the trek was utterly AMAZING! Our Guide Neptali was the BEST. He is very knowledgeable, he's kind, he's funny, and he is calm and takes charge in a crisis. The porters and the chefs were wonderful. It was all around a 5 star experience. Definitely recommend this adventure!

Our Inka Trail hike to Machu Picchu was one of the top international trips I've ever been on. The hiking was challenging but within our ability. The guide adapted wonderfully to our group - giving the faster more adventurous travelers room to stretch our legs while keeping us all together and keeping the less fit trekkers safe. The camps were very comfortable, the food delicious, and the porters friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better trip to Peru.

A friend of mine told me about The Explorer's Passage & what a wonderful experience she had. I called Jeff & talked to him about what my daughter & I were looking for in our bucket list trip to Machu Picchu (my daughter's 16th & my 50th). Jeff took all of our wants/desires in & made suggestions. Jeff planned the perfect trip to Peru. We went to Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, & the Amazon Jungle. Our accommodations were beautiful & so comfortable. All of the food was delicious. Our guides were more than friendly & knowledgeable. Every detail was well thought out & planned (all transportation, tickets/passes, information to us about what to pack & how to train before, etc). We just had to take in the wonder of it all & enjoy. To Jeff, Harry, David & Peter Frost....thanks for the trip of a lifetime!!

My partner and I wanted to hike the Salkantay Trail in Peru and The Explorer's Passage made it possible. It was my first time doing a multi-day hike and sleeping in tents. The experience was first class and extremely well organized. We received a detailed itinerary and packing list ahead of the trip. Our guide was an expert on Inca history and knew the trail well, and spoke perfect English. For the first few days we were on a secluded trail and didn't see any other hikers. Everything was taken care of from setting up our tents, 3 meals a day, carrying our equipment, arranging passes for Machu Picchu. The trail was rigorous, but the guide was patient and adjusted his pace to ours. We hiked for 4 days + Machu Picchu, and would highly recommend this tour company.

The Explorers Passage is a top notch operator. From first booking, to pre-travel information provided, to being met at the airport, to the trip itself and finally being returned to the airport, everything was perfectly organized. Jeff made sure we were well taken care of and our guide, Neptali was second to none. The hike team were lovely, and the pre-hike dinner with Peter Frost fantastic. We have no hesitation in recommending The Explorer's Passage.
