As a self-emplyed remote worker, I've used Exactly for the past 5 years.
Their staff always answer questions in good time, and their service has been smooth and easy.
They were also able to get me a reimbursement on IVA that I shouldn't have paid when I was with a previous gestoria.
Would definitely recommend.

Exactly Accountancy cost me money, time, and trust.
They were hired to manage my taxes as an international entrepreneur in Spain. I paid them €93/month expecting professional support.
Instead, they:
• Failed to file my Q4 VAT return on time, causing a 5% penalty.
• Filed a completely false Q1 return showing €0 income — when I had over thousands in earnings.
• Never registered me in the EU VAT registry (ROI), causing me to be taxed incorrectly.
• Gave zero guidance on how to comply with Spanish VAT rules for foreign companies.

Their mistakes caused double taxation, system blocks at AEAT, and a massive amount of wasted time trying to fix things myself.

If you’re a freelancer, expat, or digital nomad: avoid this firm. They’re unqualified, negligent, and dangerously unreliable.
The cost of working with them was far higher than any service fee.

Fast response times when selling, very slow response time to do the actual work. In Spain, it is actually already a selling point to receive an actual answer to an email, and this they do well, confirming that they received the message (without acting on it). For the rest, it is just the same as any Spanish gestor. Slow and inefficient and blabla instead of action. We missed out on deadlines, we received various fines due to errors in accounting (listing providers, VAT reverse charge and administrative issues). When asking a compensation, no reply. We decided to transfer to another gestor for this reasons, as we carry the end risks for the mistakes in accounting but keep on waiting already two months to transfer us our own documents. For SL, avoid. Maybe fine if you just need a NIE.

3/10 Avoid (time/money sink)

As a small startup trying to get going working with them has been like pulling a teeth.

While looking professional on the surface in tone and presentation, they're a bunch of amateurs hopping around over-charging for filing papers.

We contacted them at the end of November 2024, they managed to reach back to us by 2025 January.

In the process, they have multiple times dropped the ball and try to shift blame on the system, the notary, always someone else is at fault.

The egregious 2500 euros formation fee somehow didn't end up covering the notary costs that should've been included and to this date I have not heard from them once about reimbursing the extra, but are harassing me with "unpaid invoices", for a company that does not function yet due to their absolute unprofessionalism.

It's been 4 months, to this date, we can not have a bank account for the company because they forgot to activate the tax number, are harassing us with invoices we are not able to pay as we have no bank account.

At this point we can't accept or issue invoices, and our Spanish branch is essentially useless as it's incapable of remitting invoices and/or paying contractors.

The bank we've tried opening account with has canceled our account twice already because it takes so long for Exactly to do anything.

This company charge you fees, and do not provide the services they promise via a contract, In other countries this is against the regulation, Here AECE their regulator have been notified of their negligence by providing the online factual evidence, and I'm persuing Exactly via the Spanish legal system.

They did not notify me of a hacienda IVA charge until after 18 months had past, The fact im IVA exempt they clearly submitted the incorrect information from day one, as all other accounts know that my industry services are exempt from IVA in spain.
After this stage fines were already implimented by the Hacienda, Exactly wanted an extra fee to to appeal but did not send the required correct documents to the Tax office when asked to do so, within the allocated timeframe and then then appeal deadline pasted and a £6790 IVA plus Fines stand... Sarah Jevan Maria at Exactly accountants all provide misleading information and do not do as they say and promise. Its appears that many people have been a victim of this company as the current 2.9 review score stipulates the facts.

Paid money up front for renta submission. Sent all details requested. Now no communication and nothing delivered by the company. Avoid.

So far ..... so bad. I am trying to get my Résidencia in Spain (Alfas office), started beginning of October 2022. Oké I am aware it takes a while to get an appointment, but now, March 10 2023, .... radio silence ..... no answer to my mails, nothing at all ..... very disappointing !! Paid the fee the minute I got the invoice ..... Regret I took them as my "representative" ..... wondering if it will happen this year 😪
