Great service over the years. As we are a small business the service from eWay has been great.

Worst and unsafest company exist ! I wish I could put 0 star , no costumer service , block my account and won't pay of your money to your bank account , someone process few products from my website but unfortunately the person used someone else cradit card , payment went through successfully And before I send good I asked them everything is good to send item ? They said yes ,
But Risk team they never contact me to say this is fraud transaction so I send the goods to the person , I lost goods over ( $6000 )and never investigated and also charged me $44 for each failed transaction around $308. So disappointed .
Good luck if you you need to contact risk team to resolve your issue . You will never get any answer or help from this company . Stay far from this company

I have nothing but good to say of eWay being a small business owner which is one thing they've never made me feel....Small. Customer support has been fantastic, product has never let me down, would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thanks eWay!!
Not clear application process
After going through painful application process the sales executive, decided to decline the business application over the phone providing reference to high risk of potentially future disputed funds between the business and its customers. While I appreciate the logic behind this, I don't understand why its not explained by that sales person. There was no mention to the review process and criteria required in the agreement we signed prior approval!
On top of that the sales person refused to send confirmation email.
in the fine prints there are a charge of initial $150 and ongoing subscription of $10 per month for some security training eWay try to enforce!

We've used E-Way for years but no longer
We've used E-Way for years, however we've noticed that whenever our e-commerce platform (Magento community) does an update, it takes E-Way weeks or even months to update their extension to be compatible. We've experienced this issue a few times and they just say 'sorry, we are not yet compatible' and give no estimated time to fix, meaning we cannot update to the latest version and security patches. It;s got to a point where we are now looking for other CC processing options, as it is putting us in too much risk that they are not able/willing to update their extension in a timely way.

eWay are discriminatory and falsely advertise. Go somewhere else NOW. They will not accept websites not in English or 100% bilingual. Only found this out after giving all my personal details and going through the long application process that has taken weeks. It is stated nowhere on their website that they will discriminate in this way. This is unethical, dishonest, and wastes people's time.
Slow, bureaucratic nonsense - hard pass.
We are a new start up wanting a secure, reputable gateway to support an ethical operation. Our business is registered with ASIC and have been supported by a reputable legal firm to establish a business structure to underpin operations. Despite this, I was hit with inappropriate questions and it was expected we front a bond to e-way to establish our payment gateway account. The team lacked a basic understanding of what we did and seemed less than interested in listening to my feedback. Dated, bureaucratic nonsense - hard pass!

Have used eWAY for a few years now and have never had a problem, so will continue using on my new website. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Difficult initiation, Smooth sailing.
Getting started was a longer and more confusing process than I had wished, will little updates until I finally spoke to the right person(s). Afterwards, everything was clear and the staff were extremely helpful.
The software and its setup was easy and are simple in nature. Which I love to see as jumping through hoops when navigating and finding information tends to be half the battle.

Yes I agree avoid these clowns. They wanted information about my company and where I buy my stock and proof of invoices after I had supplied bank account, ABN, bank statements drivers licence. That information iS only for my accountant and the ATO not EWAY - DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE......

What a joke of a business this is! If this is the level of service they offer when they are trying to win your business, I hate to imagine what will happen when you are a client and have an issue requiring a prompt resolution!
We applied for an account early October (over 6 weeks ago) have supplied numerous documents for our EXTEMELY profitable and CASHFLOW POSITVE business and had to follow up COUNTLESS times with the incompetent staff at Eway to check on the status fo our application for a pyament gateway.
Well they can shove it as we have gone elsewhere and set up within 4 days!
Steer clear, you've been warned!

So there is life at EWAY (our name for them is NOWAY) after all, someone actually found a pulse and responded!
Sophie, you are mistaken as to not having received our details, clearly your system is broken for we have provided every document requested via your portal (numerous times) via email and have followed up with your staff, when they answered their calls that is, to ensure there was nothing else that they required.
How is it that the big four banks can set us up in less than a week after rigorous checks and balances, havingnprovided all.our information just once as they don't keep repeatedly asking for the same docs yet NOWAY can't get their sh!t together in over 6 weeks!
Your staff won't even respond to messages or emails, your portal keeps asking for the same info over and over despite confirmation from your team when we managed to speak to them, that they have what they need. Pathetic is all I can say!
Our business involves developing systems and marketing for e commerce clients requiring mong other things, payment gateways, you have not lost our business alone but ALL of our extensive and rapidly growing client base, not to mention our referring clients to your competent competitors in your place.
Furthermore I must thank you for stuffing us up as it could have been worse, we could have aligned you with our clients which would have impacted our reputation.
I feel for your poor staff as they must be so busy handling complaints and disgruntled customers all day. The forums rate you very poorly and today we had a new client expressing the same issues as us and looking for alternatives.
Glad to see the back of EWAY as there's NOWAY we could have worked with them!

Had a fraudulent charge and emailed eWAY 3 times for help / guidance. Have yet to receive a response! HORRIBLE service, unsure if they are just part of the scam. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!

Taking money out of credit card 3x, account unreachable
I have been in contact with Eway for several months to get a credit for 3 invoices which shouldnt be taken out of my account. One has been credited, but still waiting for the other 2. I have contacted eway about 25 times about this and every time they promise to pass on the message to accounts, but nothing. Now received 1 invoice back, no apology of their mistake (as they send out an invoice for 0.00, still charged my credit card). Have tried to phone accounts, but for some reason this department is unreachable!
