I chose EM because they offered a great price for our move from France to the UK and the customer service leading up to our move was very attentive. Our sales rep Ayda phoned several times to check our requirements and also managed our late switch to a larger van very well.

Unfortunately, the guy who turned up to do the job, which EM seem to have sun-contracted to a Polish company, was just awful. Communication was almost impossible, even with Google translate. He spent the whole time he was loading on the phone and my husband did most of the loading himself. He didn't have any straps or blankets to secure and protect our belongings in the van. Whilst he arrived at the pickup location on time, he was 5 hours late to drop off with no update on his delay. My mum was waiting at the dropoff location (in a heatwave) but each time I phoned EM it took them ages to get back to me and their ETAs were too short.

When he arrived, he refused to unload the van and expected my mum in her 70s to do it - a whole 20m3. When she finally persuaded him he had to help, after a long discourse with his employer, he delivered everything to the wrong places in the house.

It seems like EM is let down by its sub-contracters, but unfortunately a service provider is only as good as its frontline staff. I would never use them again.

I had a very good experience with E.M overall, and would recommend them to others. We had a 20 cubic metre van booked from Switzerland to the UK. All arrived safely and the van driver, although did not speak English, was very helpful. Speaking on the phone with the sales managers was always very good, they were kind and helpful. The only thing that caused a little stress was we were told we would get a 2 hour warning on the day before the van arrived, but we did not. Also, we thought we had booked a ten cubic metre van to find out after my continuous questioning, it was a twenty cubic metre van. I had sold a lot of furniture, annoyingly. However, the overall experience was great, and I am really impressed with the cost and service.

Mi experiencia con esta empresa ha sido terrible desde el primer momento. Después de pagar casi 2000 euros por la mudanza desde Alemania a España, cambian todas las condiciones de tal forma que era imposible cuadrar fechas con lo que habíamos concertado. He cancelado la mudanza por este motivo y llevo más de 1 mes contactando con la empresa para que me devuelvan el dinero. Una vergüenza. Siempre dan largas y no buscan una solución que no es otra que pagar los casi 2000 euros por un servicio que jamás se realizó. Ahora lo único que espero es no tener que llevar esto a un abogado! Como no puedo contestar a la respuesta de Europeanmoving, lo editó. Las condiciones han quedado claras antes de pagar. Muy claras. Puedo dar nombres y datos. Ha sido pagar y el compañero con él que hablábamos ha tenido un accidente y nada...quedó sin efecto todo lo que estaba de antemano acordado. Es que el compañero era nuevo, no estaba al tanto de todo decían. Hasta el día de hoy espero un email en que quede reflejado lo que he pagado y lo que tienen que devolver que es la totalidad. Cada día se habla con alguien nuevo y poco aportan. Muy rápidos para pedir el dinero...Muy lentos para gestionar todo. Hemos tenido que buscar otra empresa que cumpliera su palabra y lo hiciera desde la honestidad. Una pena.
P.D. La contestación a mi opinión ha sido increíblemente rápida...Si hubiera sido rápido en devolver el dinero no estaríamos hablando😉

Extremely friendly and organised service. I was always informed of any update and the people I dealt with were really really kind and helpful. They always responded promptly. The move was completely smooth and my furniture arrived quickly . I have already recommended this service to friends and family. Excellent value for the service. I had the pleasure to deal with Joanna and then Fatima who were delightful ladies. My moving out man Pawel was also extremely helpful and efficient. Couldn’t have chosen a better company to move my stuff!

It was really easy to book and get things organised and Fatima was lovely and really helpful, however the company was let down by one employee who did not want to pack the van with me (a woman) to help so as soon as he dared he declared the van too full and over weight which it was nowhere near meaning we had to pay for another van. Because of this one employee i don't think i could use this company again

Very helpful staff; collection and delivery bang on time and a really competitive price; can't ask for more. Thoroughly recommended.

It was just an amazing service, they provided me the right guidance and performed the move in record time. And since that was during a pandemic situation, they delivered were others were not able.

It would be more than a 4* except for the fact that we had two collections and deliveries. The first went smoothly so 5-stars. Also I have to say that the pre-collection stuff was really good and all the staff (Joanna and Fatima especially and a man in France whose name I can’t recall) were available and helpful whenever we needed them.

Unfortunately the second of our two collections was a nightmare for us as we were told the van would arrive at 11.40 but it didn’t until 16.10. It was a massive headache for us, in the middle of coronavirus lockdown, as we’d got two friends over to help load, had our three fractious young children to look after, were obliged to clean the house after the van had left, had a hotel to get to before our flight the next morning (we finally got there around midnight) and so on and so forth. We called European Moving several times only to be told, on each occasion, “oh the van’s just around the corner... a few minutes away... he’ll be there soon...not long now” etc etc.

These complete falsehoods made a very stressful situation even worse and I’m upset and annoyed with EM for not coming clean with us and telling us they’d no idea where the van was, or at least they’re sorry but it was going to be very late. At least we could have told our friends to go home instead of hanging around for 5 wasted hours each, and made arrangements for the kids.

So 5 stars for the first delivery and one for the second. Averaged at 3. I’ll add one star for the service before the actual deliveries but I may be being generous in hindsight. I was furious at the time.

A great experience hiring their services, treatment, seriousness and speed.

I moved 2 times with european Moving. The coordinators were very kind and helpfull. It was a stressfull time but Fatima De Sousa vas so nice, and made everything easy and perfect. The price is correct compared to other firm. Of course the only negativ point is that there is a lot of work you have to do alone. That a choice i made to spare some money so i dont complain about it. Thanks a lot again Fatima.

I had a fantastic experience with “European Moving.” My belongings were picked up in Manchester at the agreed time, the driver was super friendly and helpful, and the belongings arrived in Germany within 32 hours. The staff of “European Moving” was super helpful, too, in terms of organizing the move. They responded quickly and I couldn’t ask for better service. Thank you for this incredible experience.

The price is very competitive but is not very reliable and relax process.
I booked in January for a moving in August. The first agent was lovely and very helpful but they made her redundant along this months without let me know. I had to call them to find out (because she wasn't replying to the email) and a new person came on board.
I have to admit that this agent was very unprofessional.
I had to chase him, organise things, and when the moving started he stopped replying and he disappear.
I booked 8m3 but once the van arrived we hardly managed to fit everything due the van already loaded and almost full, the driver haven't any idea of what he was collecting. As last, My moving was across the weekend and I didn't manage to know when the truck was coming at destination. I found out only when the driver, very polite and nice guy but unable to communicate due to language barrier, was at the place already.

I was pleased at the beginning of the year, but not not sure if I would come back to this company.

Do not use this company.
I transferred twice to different ‘move coordinators’, attributing the lack of competence to individuals but it truly is the company who are genuinely useless.
They had no clue what was going on. No confirmation of details. I was constantly chasing for reassurance but never received it. Had already paid so had to stick with them.
Missing van at pick up and delivery...they were unable to track the van with my belongings.
The least professional company of any kind I have ever had the misfortune to have to deal with.
Avoid at all costs!!

The below response is a lie! They even rang to discuss my feedback after I left it...clearly wanting me to retract / edit. I can happily provide evidence of (regrettably) being a customer.

It was a nightmare. RUN AWAY! We booked 3 Luton vans for the morning. 2 arrived at 7.30 am and 11 am. The third arrived at 9 pm!! The company lied all the time, saying “30 min more, the truck is almost there” when it had not even crossed the channel yet!!! As I said, run away, it was a horrible experience.

FOLLOWING THE EUROPEAN MOVING ANSWER BELOW: I would understand delays due to traffic, accidents, etc... what I do not accept is plainly lying (for example, indicating that the third driver was late “arriving in 40min” when it had not even yet crossed the channel and was in France more than 6 hours away) (or giving me finally the delayed driver’s phone at 5.55 pm when your office was going to close at 6 pm for me to deal directly with him, instead of you coordinating). As I said, a complete nightmare, RUN AWAY from this company if you have children and want to avoid the bad experience.

I used this company in March, right up untill the move they were very easy going and affable, always answering queries.
The day before the move is when things started to go badly wrong, I had asked for a time for when I could expect the driver, I could not get a time, which of course was vital because I had to hire two extra people to help with loading, at the time of booking I had not been aware that there would only be one driver and he would not be helping with loading.
I phoned several times, and was not able to get the information, my stress levels had gone through the roof, especially because I started googling about the company and found a huge amout of bad reviews, when I mentioned this they stopped answering the phone to keep me updated, on the day, answering only by email.
Upshot, I had to hire two men twice to help with the loading, twice because I had been told that the driver would arrive at around 12 midday, he did not. I evidently had to pay for thier time. I also had two friends earlier in the day that were prepared to help, they eventually had to leave as they could not waste the day waiting.
It was not until I emailed to say I had found another company to move me, that they told me he was arriving later in the day, the driver finally arrived at around 5.30pm so I had to hire the men again, the stress was too much, it ended costing far more than I expected because of this, I was left sitting in a house ready to go waiting all day. I ended up contacting another company at the last minute, because I was now worried that the van was not going to arrive,this company were prepared to come at an allotted time and offered two loaders, for only £200 more, I wish I had gone with them in the begining as it would have taken all the stress out. It was the same the other end, I had to hire two guys to unload.
To be fair I would have let this go, but I keep getting emails from the company, which just reminded me of the whole experience.

Really good experience. Our Polish driver loaded up his wagon so that all our belongings were secure, and delivered them promptly the following day shortly after our arrival at our new home in the Netherlands. The customer services team we worked with in the weeks prior to our departure were extremely efficient and reassuring. A great company to work with.

Second time we have used you in as many years but this time we had two vans booked and then needed a third and you arranged it two days prior to our move. The girls in the office as always fantastic and two of the drivers did such a good job they stayed the night at our property after joining us for a BBQ great night great service many thanks.
