Bike insurance for a trip abroad
I was insuring a bike for a trip abroad for the 3rd time in 3 years, its always really straightforward to do and the cover is simply explained, with no hidden gotchas. Top notch.

Shambles
I feel they take your money and find anyway not to pay on claims. They are also being investigated by the FCA for how they have treated me. My review is based on my own personal experience and would like it to be used in such manner. Please read ETA'S other reviews before committing
In response to your reply, me having to prove where funds come from to pay for a bicycle, prove I own a motorcycle, prove I sold a motorcycle, prove the transaction. Prove I went to Spain in Febuary when the incident happened in may, prove flights, prove return times. Hurdle after hurdle all in a bid to defer from paying. 17th July I sustained a heart attack through medical advice I was told to park any stress in my life, which I have ETA being part of it, with constant hurdles, constant lines of questioning absolutely nothing todo with a cycle. If ETA are so desperate to keep the money change the name to charity stop taking people's money and treat them as customers not criminals. Also I had to prove to trust pilot that The FCA are investigating you I'm happy to prove. Update 1/1/25 The Financial Ombudsman have now investigated the case and have awarded £200 compensation for miss-information and miss-leading me. The case continues. I have now supplied absolutely everything and will await the outcome. I will also update this further.

Thank you for your review. With regards to your case, at no point was your claim declined. We were unable to reach a final decision because you withdrew the claim. As we have stated previously, you are welcome to request that we reopen this case, but in order to complete our review, certain processes must be followed and information provided – steps you have stated you are unwilling to follow.
With regards to being investigated by the FCA, we welcome any contact from the regulator to discuss the case. To date, and contrary to your suggestion, we are unaware of any investigation that is underway. We look forward to hearing from the FCA, should they make contact.
Excellent ETA Cycle recovery
Excellent from start of the process to the end, including a courtesy call when arrived back at home. They kept me informed at all stages. Great service, worth every penny! Taxi company also excellent.

Environmentally conscious pedal bike insurance - what's not to like? And, they fund the wonderful Environmental Transport Association and they do NOT pay lobbyists calling for more and bigger roads
