Do not be fooled by the "estimated" prices or the slick marketing for Enterprise Car Club. This company uses predatory "dark patterns" to lure customers into contracts under false pretenses.
I booked a car in Bath where the app displayed a clear "Reserve Now for £45.00" button. After completing the trip, I was slapped with a bill of £84.67—nearly double the price I agreed to at the point of contract.
When I challenged this, their "Senior Member Services" team actually claimed that the checkout screen—which showed a specific car, a specific address, and a specific time—was merely an "illustration" and not a binding price. In the UK, this is a blatant breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
The Trap:
Bait Advertising: They run Instagram ads claiming rates "from £2.71/hr," which are physically impossible to achieve in many regions.
Hidden Fees: They hide massive mileage surcharges (up to 50p/mile) that they deliberately exclude from the primary "Reserve Now" button to make their service look cheaper than a taxi.
Incompetence: Their senior staff tried to justify my bill using "Under 22" rates, despite the fact that I am 29 years old. They don't even know their own pricing structures.
If you value transparency and don't want "surprise" debt on your account, stay away. I have already escalated this to the BVRLA and the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). They are holding my account hostage over a balance created by their own deceptive UI.

I've been using car sharing for over +10 years and although the costs have obviously increased over that period, it's still far more economical than running your own car. Yes, you do need to plan ahead to ensure that a car is available for your needs, but availablity has never been an issue to date. The cars are clean and well maintained, and the fuel card means that you don't have fork out from your own pocket to fill the tank - all the more important given the current fuel price shocks ⛽

I had a very disappointing experience with Enterprise Car Club regarding a damage claim that I strongly dispute.
I returned a vehicle on the morning of 1 February in good condition. The following day (2 February), Enterprise claims that the driver-side mirror was damaged and charged £868.49 to my account. The car had been parked on a public street overnight in a busy area near a train station, bus routes, universities and nightlife venues, meaning it was exposed to regular traffic and third-party activity after my rental had already ended.
Despite this clear gap between the end of my rental and the inspection, Enterprise held me responsible as the last renter and refused to consider the possibility of third-party damage while the car was parked on the street.
What makes this more frustrating is that I continued to book and use the same vehicle several times after that date (7–8 Feb, 9–10 Feb, 22–23 Feb and 28 Feb). If I had caused the damage myself, it would make no sense to repeatedly book the same car afterwards. I also proactively reported a mirror issue later on 28 February, demonstrating that I do report damage honestly when I notice it.
Their investigation relied heavily on the fact that I did not have time-stamped photos at the end of the rental, even though the damage was recorded the next day while the vehicle was parked on a public street.
The entire process felt very one-sided and customer support was unwilling to fairly consider the circumstances. I have been a responsible driver with international driving experience and a regular user of car rentals, but this experience has significantly reduced my trust in Enterprise Car Club.
I would strongly advise other users to take detailed photos of the vehicle at both pickup and drop-off, as disputes appear to default to the last driver regardless of when the damage is actually discovered.

I had a very frustrating experience with Enterprise Car Club. After booking and paying for a parking space through JustPark for Feb 22, I still received a ParkingEye parking charge despite parking within the valid booking period.
Before I even had the opportunity to appeal the charge, Enterprise paid the parking fine themselves and then charged it directly to my account (£60 plus an additional £30 administration fee). This meant I was completely denied the chance to challenge what I believe to be an incorrect parking charge.
JustPark acknowledged the issue and refunded my parking booking fee, but because Enterprise had already paid the parking charge, they said they could not assist further.
The most disappointing part is that Enterprise took payment without allowing me to dispute the charge first, which feels extremely unfair. Customers should at least be given the opportunity to appeal a parking charge before it is automatically paid and passed on to them with extra fees.
Overall, this experience felt very unfair and poorly handled. I would strongly advise others to be cautious, as you may end up paying additional charges even when you have followed the correct parking process.

Extremely disappointed with Enterprise Car Club today.
Collected a dirty car (DP25 HFR) from Fairfield Avenue with rubbish and items left inside.
Within 20 minutes the tyre pressure warning came on and the tyre ended up completely flat in Pirbright.
I am 7 months pregnant and was left stranded waiting for AA with no support, no welfare check and no guidance about the booking.
This is not the first complaint I’ve made about poor vehicle condition and safety concerns.
Very concerning lack of safeguarding for vulnerable customers.

My first time out in a car club car. Car was in pristine condition, conveniently close to me, and with a full tank of petrol. For the distance I did (~170 miles) it was no cheaper than a day hire but much more convenient. However I was hugely disappointed to find that they seem to have taken the EVs out of the car club in York, hope that's only temporary.

I will never be using Enterprise again, and will be leaving Car Club.
They are trying to charge me £504 for a crack in the windscreen for a van I rented, which wasn’t there when I began and ended the journey. Included in the charge, is a £75 Administration fee and they are charging for two days the van was ‘out of use’, neither of this they tell you about.
Enterprise tried to take £1250 damage waiver out of my account with no correspondence/notification and without giving me the opportunity to refute the damage claims. Extremely bad practice in my opinion and before they try to take anything from you they need evidence and a case. That to me was shocking that they attempted (my card bounced as it didn’t have enough money on there thank god) to take that.
There was a 10 day period between my hire and the next, and the Enterprise van I rented is left (upon their request) in an unprotected, unmarked and open access spot near their lot in Bradford. I have argued and argued again that this crack could have emerged from anywhere, weather thermo conditions, vandalism etc. They carry out routine checks of their vehicles but no member of staff in that 10 day period reported the crack, until the next hirer photographed it. All they appear to hang their hat on ‘it’s the nature of the service’, that if damage isn’t reported there and then the last user is liable. No proof and no evidence yet they seem to yield the power in this situation.
The correspondence since from Enterprise is awful, unprofessional and all over the place - emails incorrectly formatted, unclear and you’re not sure who you’re dealing with at times. They put the case on hold at my request because I was adamant they needed more evidence, but then had the cheek to send me a letter saying my balance was still outstanding and threatening debt recovery. I was waiting for them to get back in contact with me regarding my case.
I’d stay away from this company, plenty of marginally better companies out there. I will be cancelling my car club membership, I’m trying to fight this claim but feel like I’m going up against a bureaucratic and policies-lined wall.

The vehicle I received was FILTHY. I'm not talking about a bit of dust—the interior absolutely stank. It was disgusting.
When I complained to a staff member, he didn't even look at me. He stared right past me the entire time I was talking. For a company that claims to have "status," the disrespect is unbelievable.
On top of that, I didn't get the car I requested or anything close to it in quality. They did promise a refund for the bait-and-switch, but I'm still waiting for it.
Avoid these guys. They don't care about their customers, unless you pay big-time money.
