Awful company
Awful company, waited 20 weeks for a refund for a flight I was forced to rebook twice as I wasn’t eligible for a refund. Once the flight was cancelled I was told 12-14 weeks. Only when I email do I get some progress yet here we are 20 weeks later. Still no money.
And that’s disregarding the £75 admin fee per person.

Absolutely horrible experience with them. Due to Covid-19 last year, my flight was cancelled and there were no new flight dates that worked for me so I had to request a refund. The initial request was made in November 2020, and to date after waiting over 8 months and being passed from one team to another I still don't have my refund. I initiated a transaction dispute with my bank last week as it seems this is going nowhere. Avoid at all costs during these times.

Absolutely shocking company
Absolutely shocking company. Still waiting for refund after 8 months. Company requests your bank details in just an email in order to process the refund as they claim they don’t have a secured way to store bank details yet still don’t give refund. I have used many different agents throughout the years however I can confidently state that this is the worst by a country mile and would not recommend to anyone. I’d rather pay more for my travel arrangements. The airline refunded the ticket cost 6 months ago so absolutely no reason why a legit company would not have been able to refund this to me by now. Scandalous company and I feel genuinely sorry for anyone who is still waiting on a refund from them. I would advise you to be cautious in sending them your bank details as they openly admit they got no process in place to keep them secure.
Scam Company!
Despite numerous e mails and after waiting over 20 weeks for a refund on my cancelled Manchester to Sri Lanka flights with no joy at all, I involved my credit card company . Complete success with total refund obtained with their cashback system and without deduction of any charges which emailflights had initially threatened.

My flight was cancelled, and i have sent over half a dozen emails now. None of which has been responded to.
I have tried calling them and gave up after waiting over 80 minutes to connect to an agent.
I am calling again as I type, and its been 90 minutes which is very costly when you are dialing internationally.
These guys are not worthy to be called a company.
I will certainly involve my credit card company if its not resolved in the next 48 hours latest.

I understand the pressures on the travel sector over the last 16 months but I have never experienced such terrible customer service from any company as I have from emailflights.
I was understanding that a refund for a cancelled flight may take a bit longer than usual, I never expected that I would spend six months chasing a company over email because they don't answer their phones and have to get my credit card company involved to get thousands of pounds of my money back.
When our flight was cancelled while we were abroad they were absolutely useless in helping us make alternative arrangements, they lied that a BA flight to London was full, I got off the phone and went on the BA website and booked it there and then, when I boarded the flight it was almost empty.
Even when it was proven they were lying about their contact with the airline in question they still continued to respond with generic excuses and delaying tactics.
A shower of thieving liars. Avoid this company at all costs.

Currently in dispute regarding our refund. Took flight credits from airline, rebooked and was informed the price had gone up so paid a further £92.
Now flights are cancelled resulting in a charge of £450 on the booking for administration and informed that the £92 is not refundable either!
Spoken to the airline who have no record of the additional payment, so it would appear that this company have kept that too.

Worst experience ever waiting since March 2020 for money refund - claimed JAL airline had to refund them checked email flights had the money. Then they claimed they had to process it for 6 months???? Complete scam AVOID AVOID! Still waiting on money I won’t see

I have been trying to obtain a refund for flights to Vietnam, which were cancelled due to the pandemic. I firstly refused to consent to their rip off fee of £75 for admin fees, but could see that would have ended in a small debtors court, difficult during a pandemic. I relented, months ago, but am still awaiting the refund. Their pathetic excuse was that most of their employees were working from home, when it is well accepted that this does not result in too great a hiatus after setting up. They really are the worst experience that I have had with any company in my life and I am 77 years old. How they have managed to get so many good reviews leaves me full of suspicion. All I want is my money back, minus the admin fee, and for this company to go bankrupt. Something they fully deserve.

I am waiting 14 months on my refund. Every time I email them regarding my refund I get an automated reply stating they are looking into my refund. Every single time it’s the same. Awful! I doubt I’ll get a refund now. New customers avoid.

I'm writing a second review here. Almost a year later, still no refund on our cancelled flights. Every time we ask for an update we are told the refund will be with us 'soon' or most recently 'we can't give you a timeframe'. Absolutely horrible. Will never use again. I think we are going down the legal route as so many others have advised.

The best way I can sum up our experience with Email Flights in one word is HORRIFIC.
We bought 2 return tickets to Australia for October 2020 with Email Flights, but due to Covid, Singapore Airlines cancelled the flights in March 2020.
I contacted Email Flights at the time in regards to this, they advised me I had to fill in a form and send it back to them, while accepting there would be a deduction of £75 per person for admin fees and a wait time of 12-14 weeks, and only then would I received my money back. Our flights were £1500+ so we were desperate to get our money back as soon as possible. I did everything they asked me to do, even accepting the admin fees, not knowing at the time that it is completely illegal for them to subtract this money.
After the 14 weeks, upon hearing nothing, I contacted them again, they advised me there would still be a wait time as they were awaiting funds from Singapore Airlines themselves. After several more weeks I contacted them again, this time they took my bank details and advised me the refund would be between 10-15 days. After the 15th day, nothing happened. I contacted them again, this time I got no response at all, and after several more emails to them, again, heard nothing back.
After 4 months of hearing nothing at all, I reached out to the financial ombudsman, they were not helpful at all, and advised they could not assist me.
It is only now, in April of 2021, a whole YEAR LATER, with my partner threatening LEGAL action against them, that they have FINALLY given us our money back this morning. However, they have still kept the £150, in illegal admin fees.
It is incredibly sad, but unfortunately I think the only way to get your money back is to threaten them with legal action.
The company is an absolute joke, and they deserve every bad review they get on this site.
If this experience has taught me anything, it's to book direct with the airline next time.

It is now 12 months since my flight with Etihad was cancelled and still no refund from emailflights, just excuses or, even worse, no communication. The latest promise was in January when they said the refund would hit my account in 7 days. Guess what? It didn't. Now I cant get hold of them. Beware.
Just take them to court
It has now been over a year since email flights agreed to refund us, however they refuse to give us the money. Every time we chase them up they go back on their refund offer again. I am now having to take them to court and I recommend others do the same.
