Please do not waste your money coming…
Please do not waste your money coming to this apology of a Xmas experience. Very poor. About as Xmassy as a dog wearing a pair of Zeely Bobbers trying to impersonate a reindeer. A classic Xmas rip off.
I would have given zero stars if that was an option!
I would have given zero stars if that was an option! I’m still unsure what the experience was. SO disappointing and all the other parents there thought the same. Absolute waste of money! Do not go! We did Wishmas in London last year and thought it was going to be like that but it wasn’t- just one room with a few rubbish activities and an opportunity to have a photo with Santa but of course you’re expected to pay for the photo. Rubbish colouring book as a gift. A really bad money making scheme!
Shocking!
Remember all the controversy over the Willy Wonka Experience in Scotland? This is the Santa equivalent presented by Bluewater. The most underwhelming, lousy, strange Santa visit I’ve ever been to! Elf on the shelf? No, it’s elf on the posters - not a real elf in sight. Or even a shelf…I don’t know where to start, should have known from the fact that outside the footprints leading to the “event” are leading people in the wrong direction?! Even the security laughed when I pointed it out! The door looks like it is about to collapse - once inside the reinforced cardboard entrance, it’s just a room, with no flow, story or point. You are given a leaflet to “stamp” - the machines to do this could leave a child without a digit - stamps aren’t even in colour, and no one knew what the point of them were? The “games” inside are what you’d see in every nursery/preschool in the country - again no point to them, kids were just running round bewildered. Santa rocks up, sits on an MDF bench with a background of tacky stickers that might as well have just said “live, laugh, love”, asks 2 questions and dishes out a £2 sticker book from Amazon to each disappointed child. Not sure what in name of the North Pole I just spent £30 on. There’s more Christmas magic in a bag of frozen peas. Don’t waste your money!! Your child will want to disown their elf and make it never return to the shelf.
Festive fun!!
We took our 4 year old and our 1 year old to the Elf on the Shelf adventure at Bluewater! I was skeptical after reading reviews so expectations were low. But it was clear they have taken on board the reviews and tweaked the experience. Both kids got the official sticker book which they loved from Santa himself not the kiosk and they've moved Santa from the green screen so you can actually get the good photo! A very kind Santa too who didn't scare the kids so that was a bonus! There was plenty to do for my two kids in the 25 mins! My 4 year old loved all the challenges eg decorating the magnetic tree, snowball tester and ring toss! She also loved calling the elves in the phonebox! Maybe if your kids are older it may not be the right thing but it absolutely hit the spot for us, we would love to do it again next year! It was the perfect addition to a shopping day as the kids got to play and run around!
Complete waste of time and waste of…
Complete waste of time and waste of money. The experience was so rushed and no activities for kids. There were some random things/ games around which was even boring for kids, no activities like in previous years. The worst santa experience at Bluewater so far. Not worth the price.
Overpriced and disappointing experience
Such a disappointing experience! It was rushed, the kids are basically left to do whatever they want with basic entertainment and then given No warning when it ends, leaving my friend's little girl in tears!
No festive spirit, the elves didn't really interact. We came in a bit late and didn't realise the stamp card you got given at the beginning was to be used to collect a gift at the end, which was then downstairs!!! Santa was around but not great... absolute waste of money and time.
Extremely Disappointing
Rushed, overpriced, unorganised, no personal touch, no one to one time with Santa.
It doesn’t deserve 1 star.
I don’t blame the staff.
Awful, find a school fete save your money
Was so very disappointing,
My little girl is 7 and fully into christmas an all that goes with it, she has 2 elf on the shelfs at home,
The elf's at home one night had left her an invitation to attend there experience at bluewater as a surprise....
And what a surprise ot was there wasn't any elf's in the experience! A few dolls dotted around the very empty room
There was I belive about 5 things to check off the list and get a stamp for ,
1 of those things was a green screen photo op that surprise surprise cost more money at the end ...
The activity's was far to young for my daughter , I would say age 5 and under
It was like walking into a school christmas fair an the PTA made up some games
I am in the events and leisure buiesness an I can tell you this was not only lacking but extremely poorly put together !
The only thing almost passable about the whole 25mins was santa , he was a good santa but his costume wasn't great an he seemed like he had been on the old skinny jab ...
But he was plesent enough,
The fairlys that was walking about lacked any kind of child entertainer skills ,
They said it was a 25 minute walk through bit after 15 mins my daughter was bored an had completed all tasks an seen santa ...
And the gift they receive... a sticker book from poundland !!
I have ran santas grottos, I can tell you this was an absolute joke
We paid for our daughter an our 12 year old son , both getting the same sticker book
He how ever hated the whole thing an said it was rubbish...
My little girl was disappointed an my son was bored to tears
Save your money go find a grotto or attend your local school fair
They had an opportunity here to make this magical an great an it was awful
It put me in mind of the willy wonky thing in Scotland....
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. Absolute waste of time and money. Pure money grab scheme. No presents from Santa neither. Then at the end of this horrible experience, you get told to go to another floor to receive the present. We got a colouring booking lol. Honestly avoid guys
A great interactive event
I came to bluewater for this event with my twins, I had an amazing experience and they absolutely loved it. Staff were amazing and interactive and the girls even got to meet Santa eventhough this wasn’t the purpose of my visit to this event, just an added extra! We then picked up our gifts which were lovely sticker books, the girls were delighted. I would highly recommend as an additional Christmas activity!

I’m gobsmacked.don’t really know what to say. It is a joke! Waste of time , boring experience.
Needs a rethink.
Elf on the Shelf at Bluewater was a complete waste of money. Not only has this amateurish immersive experience been the most non atmospheric experience I think I have ever been to, they actually charge adults to take their kids into this awful place. A complete ripoff and then you have to spend more money to buy the photo and tatty bauble, etc. The people who set this up must be laughing at the money they are making for this rubbish.
Exceptionally Poor Customer Service and…
Exceptionally Poor Customer Service and Non-Delivery
Dealing with this company's customer service was an unhappy experience I had recently, and I have to admit it was appalling. In order to inquire about the non-receipt of my item, I had to call them several times. Whenever I did, I received extremely aggravating responses that were neither helpful nor beneficial.
I tried to contact the company and voice my issues, but they didn't really help in any way. The answers I got appeared uninformed, impersonal, and unconcerned about my predicament. Rather than a person who could relate to the urgency and aggravation of a missing item, I felt as like I was speaking with automated, pre-written words.
The thing I ordered never arrived, which made the situation worse. This is wholly unacceptable, and the customer support team's failure to address the issue simply made me feel even more unsatisfied with this business in general. Spending hard-earned cash on a product just to receive such a poor quality of service is depressing.
I urge prospective buyers to carefully consider their options before making a purchase from this business. It's an experience I wouldn't wish upon anyone due to the combination of subpar customer service and the product not being delivered. Avoid the trouble and look into options with a more solid reputation for satisfied clients.
Poor delivery and customer service
2 day delivery took 2 weeks. When items did arrive they were wrong and I was given lower value replacement rather than an actual refund. Avoid if you don't want to be disappointed.
