Very good customer service
Ordered a Shark cordless vacuum cleaner which was in stock and was decently priced, expecting it to be dispatched within a few days. Unfortunately got an email a week later saying that stock was not expected until the end of the month, 3 weeks later. I was given the choice of waiting and getting some money back for the inconvenience, vs a similar replacement. I chose to wait. The end of the month came and went, with no updates, so I emailed again. Still no stock! At that stage I asked about alternatives and was pleasantly surprised that the option was if anything slightly better than what I'd chosen initially. They dispatched it essentially straight away and it was delivered soon after.
So, not ideal that it was all delayed by weeks and weeks and the website may show items that aren't in stock. However, I really have to say that the service around it was really good. They always answered emails quickly (Jayne and Mairéad were the ones in touch), were friendly and efficient, and did their best to sort it out for me. I think I was treated very fairly and they genuinely tried to come to a satisfactory outcome. I think problems can occur with any purchase/service, but the important thing is how it's dealt with. They impressed me and I would happily buy again.

The Dyson V8 should typically provide up to 40 minutes of run time in eco mode, though this reduces significantly to about 10-15 minutes when using the boost mode. If you're getting less than 10 minutes even in eco mode, this could indicate a technical issue that needs attention.
While our returns policy does require original packaging for unwanted items, this doesn't apply to faulty products. Since you're experiencing a potential fault, we'd like to help you get this resolved. Here are your options:
1. Contact Dyson directly to troubleshoot the battery performance. They can often provide immediate assistance and may be able to verify if there's a fault.

Stay away
Stay away, the store only has a 28-day warranty. Although when you buy it, it says that you have a one-year warranty. You can't return the product you bought to the store, they refer you to consultants online, with whom I had to fight for half a day, because they sent me instructions to repair an electronic device that doesn't respond to anything. That's why I buy in a local store, so that in the event of a failure I can return it under warranty, they wash their hands of it and you have to do the work for them yourself. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

All our products include a full manufacturer's warranty of at least 12 months. While we handle issues directly in the first 28 days, working with manufacturers after this period actually provides the fastest resolution because their technical teams can diagnose issues immediately and speak directly with customers about the specific problem.
We understand this might seem like we're not taking responsibility, but it's the opposite — we're here to help throughout the entire warranty period. Once a manufacturer confirms a fault, we process repairs or replacements quickly. We can also contact manufacturers on customers' behalf, though this does take longer as the manufacturer will be passing queries through us to you, which creates a lag in the process. This would be normal of any similar retailer and does not affect your rights as our valued customer.

Product arrived with a damaged part and I had to order a replacement part myself because Electrocity couldn’t source a replacement part themselves. Other than that the service was fine.

Really nice shopping experience
These guys are brilliant, my Mother in Laws kettle broke and she asked me to order a new one for her over Black Friday weekend, of course trying to finish up my shopping during the sales I completely forgot, again I realised it she was upset that it was days later and she was still kettle-less. I used Google to find a seller within Ireland and this site came up, I asked in the sale note to please send it ASAP which they kindly did and sent on the same day.. My MIL called me to say her kettle arrived safe and sound and she's happy, and so am I for being saved a grumpy mother in law! Thanks so much to Electro City I will be a return customer ☺️
